Hi,
is there a way to have weeks starting monday rather than sunday on the TF3D calendar ?
Thanks you
go to regional settings and set United Kingdom for example. or your country, if the day starts at monday in your country
thanks for your reply
My regional parameters are configured for my country (france) .
the outlook calendar settings are also configured with the monday as first week day and in outlook it's good but not in tf3d .
is there people who have monday as first week day in tf3d ?
is it really in the regional settings than i have to configure that ?

Has anyone come across a way to set a sync schedule on the the new Windows Live Today screen plugin?
I'm looking to see if I can have the plugin automatically check for email every x minutes
It's possible to set a schedule when I sync with Exchange using the Activesync settings but it does not appear to be possible with the Today screen plugin to allow for scheduled syncs to my Live Hotmail account
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

ROM Version: 2.00.02 WWE
ROM date: 12/01/06
Radio Version: 1.14.10

I found the setting, its within the Windows Live application under account settings.
The settings don't save/stick. I want it on, 'as messages arrive' - is anyone else able to get this 2 work.
It would replace other push email solutions....
I know exactlly what you mean radii,
i used to use 4smartphone.net to get push mail, and when i heard about hotmail push i just had to have a look
when I created a new msn id specially for this task and im sure it was on "as msgs arrive" but ive hard reset, to no aval, i found a couple of, well loosly, but quite apt keys, but changing them has not made a difference.
i noticed that the today plugin changes to disconnected after 1min, i found i can keep it connected by having msn msngr logged in, but even then it dosent direct push. ( " as msgs arrive " ) ,and it starts to rack up my gprs bill.
the only thought i have is that when i created the new id, and it worked, my account was then modified, to enforce a policy on the mobile, or an i being to paranoid?!?!?
i assume your on wm5 from posting in here, im on wm6 but i found you have the same issue, so its poss its the app at fault, gutting when you read on a msdn blog how to do it!

When I sync my Hermes with my Exchange account at work, all my calendar items (namely, holidays that are marked as all day) show up on my phone 1 day early. If I change the calendar item on my phone and re-sync it, then it moves the calendar item on my desktop version of Outlook to span 2 days, from 1 am of the first day to 1 am of the second day. This seems to happen only for calendar items that appear after Februray.
Any ideas?
Same here

And I thought I was the only one that has had this issue. real pain in the @$$.
Nope, guess we are in the same boat. I have looked around a few places for a solution and have not (obviously) found one as of yet. I have to believe this is a sizeable issue that affects quite a few users.
Exchange / Outlook
What is the time zone that your Outlook client is set to use? You can find this in your TOOLS > OPTIONS > CALENDAR OPTIONS > TIME ZONE config.
Exchange / Outlook maintain their own time zones seperate from Windows. That is partially the reason why DST 2007 was such a pain in the ass to implement for IT departments.
Also, in your full Outlook client, check to see if the appointment is set as "full day" rather than from 12AM to 12AM or the like.

My timezone in Outlook is set for GMT -5 EST and daylight savings time is checked, which is the correct information. The appointments I am concerned with are the holidays I loaded, which come into Outlook as all day.
Hmm... you could try removing all holidays, sync with your device, re-add the holidays, then sync again.
An easy way to get all the holidays is to go to your Calendar (full Oulook) and change the view to "By Category", this should group your holidays into a single group. You can highlight them all to delete them.
To re-add them, go back to the TOOLS > OPTIONS > CALENDAR OPTIONS > ADD HOLIDAYS config.
Other than that, I am out of ideas as to what other variables are causing this in your case. Good luck.

Thanks for the holiday deletion tip. There has got to be an easy solution to this.
I've had same issue also with "Holidays" date from Outlook.
I was able to solve it by removing sync with exchange server and sync agenda only with my PC :-(
i had this same problem for a while. make sure the time zone is correct and the same in all of the places your syncing. i was facing this problem when the time zone was incorrectly set up on my phone, though the time was correct it was changing each time the phone was synced to my home computer. make sure the time zone settings in the phone are set not to change with the carrier.
Success!
I was finally able to resolve my issue. It had to do with the Daylight Savings Time change, because I noticed events before March 11th were ok, but those after were wrong. That is the new start of DST (in the year 2007). I suggest anyone with this problem visit this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx
and apply the patch. Despite the fact it says WM6 is not affected, I have WM6 and this fixed my issue. There is a spot in the article that mentions changing your timezone to anything else other than your default, then changing it back...perhaps this reloads something from the registery. Anyway, I initially didn't do this and my items were still off by a day, but then I went back and did this and it worked.
I suggest deleting any affected items from Outlook (desktop), sync your device then re-add the items and re-sync and, hopefully, enjoy your items being on the correct time and day!!
Even not :-(
I've tried everything:
my phone and my PC are on same TimeZone (Paris)
All DST patchs installes
All events entered few months ago are OK, but if I enter a new one in Outlook 2003 (exemple 2nd July, full day event), I will have it on my TYTN on 1st July
If I enter an event on 2nd July from 8AM to 9AM, it's well syncronised on my TYTN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That means only full day event are wrong
Does anybody have an idea to solve this ?
Thanks for your help
I experienced the same problem : during DST period, all my entries in the calendar on the phone were 1 day before the real date in Outlook.
I solved the problem by setting the same timezone as on the PC.
For me (living in France), my PC (XP) is "(GMT+01:00) Bruxelles, Copenhague, Madrid, Paris" and my phone (WM6.1) was originaly on "GMT+1 Prague,Budapest" and I changed this setting on "GMT+1 Paris,Madrid".
But every time I did a soft reset, the bad setting was restored probably due to the phone operator.
I had to unckeck in in phone settings the option "Automatically change timezones and time" on the "timezone" tab.
After that, I don't have any more problems.
Hope it helps.
Hey there. I've a problem with my Facebook synced contacts. The birthdays are all wrong by one day. If I look at one of these contacts then there is the birthday if written in and the facebook birthday which is wrong. Any idea how to solve this?
greetz Floh
upz for you as its happening to me as well ...
used to happen to windows mobile 6 when birthday was all day event and phone registrered birthday to next or previous day (i think it was previous). after several different sync i had 2 or 3 birthdays for each contact. really annoing.
i find that this is also happening in the new OTA 2.2 sense roms.
does anyone has a fix for this?
me too!! its just weird. And only some of the contacts (probably about 20%) are having such problems. The rest are fine.
help?
bringing this issue back for discussion.
I have similar problems with the facebook birthday sync it is one day earlier.
However, when i access the facebook page in the browser, the birthday is correct!
Makes me wonder if it could be due to time zone difference, as in the syncing is not adjusted for time zone differences.
for e.g. i'm in Singapore GMT +8:00. But in facebook, maybe its default is US time which is GMT -4 to -7, yet I cannot find anyway for me to choose my region and timezone in the facebook website, not in account settings or profile or etc...
Are people facing this problem living outside USA?
Mine was wrong by one month!
Anyone hv any idea ? I also facing the same problem. Birthday wrong by one day in calendar ....
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Same problem here. Not all, but many birthdays are off by one day (displayed 1 day earlier).
Yup.. can be embarrassing , my friend at work had " two " birthdays ... was not sure so I broyght her a card on the wrong day ...a month early ...
Same thing here.
Mine too, I ended up putting everyone's birthday's that I cared about in manually.
Would be interested in a proper solution.
You can easily export your birthdays from Facebook to your PC and sync it with your Google Calendar. Later sync the whole thing with your HTC, works like a charm to me.
It has something to do with the time zone. I switched it from Central Time to GMT and the birthdays went from behind one day off to the correct day. Not sure how to fix it.
When I create a new meeting in my pc thourgh Outlook, the time of the appointment in the HTC is one hour before the right time (for example 15:00 instead of 16:00).
When I create a new meeting on the HTC - there is no problem, and the accurate time is seen in my PC Outlook.
(same problem appears in the calendar app which comes with the HTC as well as with TouchDown app which I prefer to use)
I've verfied that the exchange server, my pc and the phone - are all in the same time zone (GMT+2)
I've tried to uncheck the "automatic use of network provided values" in Setting/Date & Time, but it makes no difference.
The exchange server version is 2003.
Any ideas how to solve this problem?
Thanks,
Gal
I detected a bug when you create on outlook a meeting each last working day of the month (for ex remember to send your timesheet), the phone works for the first meeting and then repeat it every day

Has anyone faced my problem?
Am I the only one with this problem???

Hey there,
since yesterday i install the RTM Mango (thkx to the leaker) i have my main live account who refuse to sync
so here what i did:
Just go on settings => E-mail accounts => tap on u'r main account
now Just scroll down to "server" u will see "m.hotmail.com"
now Just keep it that and add /your country
example:i'm in France so i put that: m.Hotmail.com/fr
fr for France,that's the trick
so for england Just add /uk,for italian /it etc...
now it should work
I also have same problem with Windows Live mail on HTC 7 Mozart + Mango update.
My solution was another: I deleted almost all e-mails in my Live mailbox from PC and phone start sync.
P.S. I has not so many mails - about 30-40 items.
