I was using from the device update the wmregoptimizer and it froze up my cellphone and when i did a softreset it won't start it frezees on the startuo screen can anyone help me what do? Active sync won't recognize it i don't know what to do
Hardreset (two context menu buttons + softreset)? Or try softreset again.

i installed WM5 successfully and i installed 3rd party program after that
if i turn off BA that does not turn on again.
then after soft reset it working but if turn off again not working again.
anybody same problem...??
hmm, have you tried putting it back to serial mode and reinstall windows mobile 2005 or downgrading? i haven't heard of such a problem but i don't think you have much of a choice. or maybe you should try hard resetting if you forgot to after the installation, just press the on/off button in and poke the buttom for 5-7 seconds ;-). I hope this helps.
I tried to do an hard reset following the recommended steps (pressing both '-' keys and soft reset at the same time), appeared the screen 'press 0 to restore' that I have done and after that nothing happens... seems that the i-mate has died!!! screen goes off and nothing happens after.
Could you please help? I'm in Madrid-Spain, should somebody locally could help.

UPDATE and FYR
I have connected it to the PC with the USB cable and upgraded it to the latest available from i-mate. It came back to life...!!!

I had WM6 working on my Qtek 9090.. suddenly it hangs and I did a softreset (at first).. now it hangs at the startupscreen of WM6.. Hard reset doesn't do the job too :S...
damn.. is it dead now?

Qtek is running again after I did the following:
1. press on/off button - record button and soft reset button at the same time;
2. hard reset (on/off button and soft reset button at the same time.
and then it will run normally.

problem is back.. when I shut the phone off (software) I can't get it back on... and WM6 will not start again...
It seems that when you want to restart your ppc you have to put out your sdcard. PPC is working again pffff

and yeah.. again.. after a soft reset after installing some software...
I'm trying to get some life back in the qtek...
.. and it works... I did the following:
1. press on/off button - record button and soft reset button at the same time;
2. hard reset (on/off button and soft reset button at the same time.
3. Put the qtek back in the cradle...
So.. Do not do a soft reset.. it's a pain in the butt...

I have followed all of the directions on the wiki, I have even tried to install another rom and it still will not remove all of the data, it changed the information in the about section of my settings but that's it. I want to change ROMs but it is not working. any ideas?
What version of windows is on your PC?
also try the enter BL which is on most ROMs
Hard Reset
To hard reset you do a soft reset (power + reset)
and before it shows the version numbers at the bottom you have to press Record + Camera & also power (i think) and then you come to an options screen using the record button to go down the list and camera to select you select Yes for option 2 and 3 and then hit the mail button to apply.

swick off button & rest buton in the same time but take care if is not the original windows you may have problems
Warm Boot: Reset the unit by pressing reset button.
Cold Boot: Press Power ++ Reset the unit simultaneously.
Read this. It's how to hard reset your BA. Hope it helps. Make sure you already formated the storage.

I think you are asking about the CT810 (LG Incite). if so here ya go ->
To hard reset the Incite:
Turn the unit OFF and hold, in order, the keys
VOLUME DOWN + CAMERA + POWER OFF until the AT&T splash screen comes up.
If done correctly you will be prompted to calibrate the screen.
