There's no problem flashing back to a stock ROM (2.03 FRA) while having Olinex 1.90 SPL right?
Don't really want to brick my diamond.
But it could be a reason to get the new Touch Pro2 (a)

I haven't used my 8525 for several months because I upgraded to an 8925. I'd like to re-flash my 8525 to the latest AT&T branded 3.62 ROM before I sell it, but I don't want to overwrite the IPL / SPL (currently at
(IPL 1.04, SPL 2.10.Olipro).
Has anyone cooked a bland ROM to have the exact AT&T 3.62 and maybe even the latest radio, but purposefully excluded the IPL / SPL?
I don't want to step up to the stock AT&T ROM and have to SIM unlock the phone again unless I really have to. Of course, if upgrading and then running pof's version v3a SIM & CID unlocker is the simplest method, I guess I don't mind. Just not sure which way to go or if anyone's tried the unlocker on such the most recent stock ROM. The last thing I want to do is make this process harder.
Any advice is appreciated!

Decompile the nbh from the stock ROM and rebuild it including only the extrom, splashscreens and the os. Use the nbh tool found in nearly ALL the kitchens available. Dead easy.
I recently went back to at&t's latest rom titled "CINGULAR_WWE_3.62.502.3_6275_1.54.07.00" which I downloaded from the htc site, and I think is still available for download here

Click on the forum "thread" link. I had the hardspl settings just like you have and after loading this rom, it has updated my radio as well, but I still have the same ipl and spl. The phone is still unlocked to any carrier and supercid. Hope that helps
I downloaded the ROM from HTC's site and started to unpack it. While refreshing screens and looking for instructions, I saw the tip to just load and go. It worked - now I have the newest ROM & Radio and kept hardSPL.
Thanks, guys!!
Hi,
I recently had my diamond return to me from HTC (screen repair) and as part of the normal process they flash the latest rom when they return the device.
Now i have the latest 2.03 rom and 2.03 SPL (did not know there was a 2.03 SPL)
Now for the problem..... I cant seem to flash to a hard SPL ie 1.24 or 1.40, i have tried them all and i have tried the manual method (no luck).
Prior to me sending off my diamond i had flashed the 1.24 spl with no issues.
I have looked all over the forum and i can't find any mention of a 2.03 SPL and i am wondering is this new SPL prevents you from flashing to any older/other SPL versions.
If any one has any ideas please help.
_)_?_:?
problems because of the SPL?
There is a good part to the new SPL?
could someone get this SPL? for a separate installation?
thanks :d
Yeah it is strange i had no idea there was a new one until i tried to flash and it shows spl 2.03 on the boot loader screen.
If someone knows how i can get a copy of this SPL off my device i will post it for all to look at.
bump...Loads of people have looked at this, no one with any ideas ??
if i remember corectly i had it on my phone also, but i could change it...

ahhh interesting..... which SPL do you now have on your diamond ?
You have to use SSPL.
Just flashed HardSPL 1.24 over 2.03.
...
y want to instal spl 2.03 to test a modified room
Hi,
I sent my diamond back for repairs, and when it came back it came with SPL-2.03
As a result, I can not flash RUU_Signed_1_93OliNex_HSPL_UnsignedEdition which i need to install a cooked rom from here
Anyone have any ideas what I can do?
Thanks!!
you can't flash SPL 1.93???
My Diamond had SPL 2.03 and I managed to flash 1.93, maybe you're just doing something wrong.
I noticed there's a quite a few different new official SPL versions out there..
Can someone tell me if there's a difference in performance/battery life between hard-spl 1.40 & 1.93? I'd really appreciate it.
just run the sspl-manual from your device and try flashing HSPL after your screen becomes blank.
Hi guys, anywhere is explained how to deal with flashing on a unbranded Phone. I Applied the originial HTC Touch D Rom 2.xx something and it worked fine. But i couldnt get e.g. energy roms to work, so i applied olinex 1.93 and tried again. failed again. So my Question is, can i apply the BsB Q rom without bricking?Do i have to use unsigned / signed olinex or the stock version of the Hard SPL ?
regards
I recommend using the unsigned edition of OliNex Hard-SPL, version 1.40.
After that, you should be able to flash any ROM you want.
Good luck!
Is there any Chance of bricking when using 1.40 unsigned olinex?
I dont have a Problem with hardresets since i dont have important data on my td.
but bricking wouldn be so nice ^^
Hello,
I would like to flash the new SPL that comes with the new official HTC Rom (with sense 2.5) as it may be related to the sleep of death (which seems to occure on low batterie only for me).
HardSPL does not allow the flash of the SPL, and SSPL freeze my device. Any idea?
As my device is a german one and that I want the rom in english I do need to bypass the vendor id check.
Thank you,
if youre using hardspl and a custom rom, do not flash a stock spl. youll brick your phone. if you have hardspl flashed, you shouldnt flash to stock. if youre using the stock rom it should have also flashed its matching stock spl.
