problem update Qtek 9090 with WM5 blue angel

hi all,
i have a Qtek 9090 (spv2000 orange) on wm2003ce 2eme edit
i make the upgrade in wma 5 by blue angel.
the pda restart with wm5 but. i have a lot of problem :
- first, i cant synchronise with activesync 4.1. it ask a password, and i have to enter my last password, juste after, it crash.
secund : the phone doesnt work. i dont know why.
i try a hard reset on it, nothing change.
please helpo me i'm in trouble. :roll:

Press and hold both soft keys and at the same time depress the reset button with the stylus, keep the two softkeys depressed untill the device puts a message on screen about pressing "Send" to reset device or a different key to avoid the Hard Reset. (Or have a read of the manual its all quite clear on page 84 - Mike

Qtek 9090 WM6 hangs on startupscreen

HI,
I had WM6 working on my Qtek 9090.. suddenly it hangs and I did a softreset (at first).. now it hangs at the startupscreen of WM6.. Hard reset doesn't do the job too :S...
damn.. is it dead now?

Qtek is running again after I did the following:
1. press on/off button - record button and soft reset button at the same time;
2. hard reset (on/off button and soft reset button at the same time.
and then it will run normally.

problem is back.. when I shut the phone off (software) I can't get it back on... and WM6 will not start again...
It seems that when you want to restart your ppc you have to put out your sdcard. PPC is working again pffff

and yeah.. again.. after a soft reset after installing some software...
I'm trying to get some life back in the qtek...
.. and it works... I did the following:

3. Put the qtek back in the cradle...
So.. Do not do a soft reset.. it's a pain in the butt...

stuck on with Qtek 9090 (blue ANgel)

Hi,
i flashed my old Qtek 9090 and now i'm stuck on "Serial v2.08" screen.
no Hard or Soft reset helps :-(
any idea ?

try CAMERA + RECORD + RESET
or POWER + CAMERA+RESET

that's a symptom of a bad ROM flashing. reflash again.

power + record + reet = send me to USB / serial v2.08 screen
power + camera + record + reset = send me to the 4 colored band screen
:-(

i can reflash my qtek 9090 as many times as i want i still have the same issue...

is there a way how to format storage via mtty ?
or a sure way how to upgrade to WM6..
because i've read and tried a lot of those post from this forum without success.
I flashed maybe 35 other Qtek (Hermes) without any problem and also update some features... but this Blue angel is making me crazy :-(

hold camera+record then softreset(still holding camera+record)
wait for a menu...
or you can read this redundantly posted instruction

4 color bands at boot

Hi,
I have a problem with my QTek 9090.
when i want to hard reset it, (power, record, camera and reset) it just displayed the 4 colored bands and stuck here.
how can i restore the normal booting sequence ?

this is normal, no problem. OS is kichen, no orginal. My Qtek work perfect WM6. Thanks Helmi!

so what should i do because it is block on this stupid 4 colored bands screen...
hard and soft reset do not help.

are you sure you have chosen No/Yes/Yes to clean the registy hive and format the storage at hard reset?
have you pressed the Mail Button to execute the instruction?
being stuck at the 4color screen is a common glitch in wm6 upgrading but nothing serious, that's because even though you flashed the ROM, your storage still has the files of your OLD Os (ex. WM2003).
you have to format the storage to have a fresh and working OS.

the problem is that i did not get any message on screen to which i can answer yes or no :-(
i effectively read some article in this forum about such step, but my Qtek 9090 did not propose me something like that !

oh... ok.
try pressing Camera + Record... before you stick the Soft Reset.
hold them until you see the menu.
if that doesnt work. then maybe one of the required button is failing.

You would find you get a better response if you explain what rom it was that you were installing when this happened,was the rom for your device and did it complete fully?

about MTTY ok...
here's a link about MTTY on Hermes Bootloader... some of its commands are general and can be used on BA with care.
look for something specific to your problem
i.e. Task 28 to format your DOC.
