2-nd "Programs"????? - Touch HD Themes and Apps

Hy XDA-kings!!! I have a question for you...could you make another(a second one) "Programs" page for TF3D(15-tabs), how iPhone has, because is pretty dificult to go to "all programs" to find the others apps so will be more easy and nice to go to the apps wich I want it to put them on the new "Programs" page that you can make it. thank you

Yes! i've think the same thing! or do the page of program more long!

I think an extra Program tab would be best, then you could do it like....
Applications, Games, Tools
or something along those lines

No Ideas??? I thought thr wud be one...

I was trying to find a solution to this a month ago and came up empty handed.
However, there's a workaround which gives you much more than just a single additional screen. Install MortButtons. Then you can assign "Mortbuttons" to one of the Programs buttons, or if you're really super-demanding, assign a single Mortbuttons screen to each of up to six Programs buttons. With the pretty graphics you're capable of with Mortbuttons you can have something that's at least as spiffy as an iPhone. Plus it's free and it has a very small memory footprint.

Thanks Bugs88 for your information(about MortButtons)... very good app!!

how do you add icons to your today screen?

how woul di do that in wm6,
i would like to add buttons there that i use frequently, like phone, and tcpmp
.. file explorer.. and so on, how would i do that?
For example if u need to put on today screen any programm shortcut, go File explorer-My device-Program Files-Folder of desired programm-.exe of this programm-tap and hold-add on today's screen.
thanks for the reply!!
So i held it down on player.exe of tcpmp using resco file explorer the option it gave me was send to: today screen as plug in.
i choose that, and it's not there!
i'm running jw's wm6 rom.
thanks a lot though, for the help so far!

Well if its prompted you as a today plugin why dint you go to "Settings-Today-Items- and if its listed in the today plugins then tick the box next to it,and it will show on your screen as a pluggin item.I personally use wisbar desktop for that.

It also gives you the possibility to overclock your device. USE THIS FUNCTION WISELY. if you do not know how to use this search for: overclock wizard
this should be perfect, it adds icons AND overclocks?! i hope it's compatible with the universal.
thanks so much, you're all great!
i'll try this tonight and reply.
IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!
it's awesome,
too add phone into the tray is to add windows/cprog.lnk
this makes it so much better for me, how cool.

argh!! phone troubles. after the install and a restart now my o2 won't get past the windows mobile welcome screen...
after a hard reset it's fine. this sucks though. cuase that program was awesome.
as awesome and easy as that program was it just wouldn't let me restart if i tried it would hang at the windows mobile screen.
soooo....
this program works but it's a lot more work.
the tray launch program work, but it's so much work!
you have to manually type in the locations of the exes..
"windows/cprog.exe"
for the phone.
and so on.
but at least it work for me on my mobile 6!
i have to open tray launch again if i restart. that sucks.

Can I ask you a favor? Can you please copy and post the .exe file for PHM Tray Launch from the programs folder? I find it too much if I install everything in the CAB file. Too much stuff I don't need. Thanks in advance.
OR would someone be so kind enouigh to post the PHM Tray Launch .exe file?

here's the link to the thread where i found tray launch separate, it works great, but that first program i used int his thread was so much better, becuase the icons looks smooth when you added them, with tray launch they're really blocky

Thanks for this information. So which application do you use creates a better icon?
this program, once installed can add icons to the tray in the bottom very easily, howver, it causes my exec not to reboot properly.
you may have a different result
i had to do a hard reset.
BatteryStatus on Jwright's latest WM6 causes crashes for me too... pity, as it'sa nice app.

What was the name of this app?

I lost this .cab for this app I got from one of Custels threads but for the life of me I cant find it again. I think it was called O2 or something that allowed you to have shortcuts on the Todays screen with tabs and I think it allowed you to end running programs also.
Anyone know where i can find it or whats its called?
Thanks

Sounds like O2 plus
Thanks for the quick reply but I dont believe thats it. The program allowed you to have app shortcuts for whatever you had loaded on your phone. It also allowed you to have these shortcuts seperated by tabs. choice of large or small shortcuts etc etc. The close software function was on the lower right corner and looked like a white ball and when you clicked on it it gave you the close apps or configuration options. Hope thats a bit more clear.
Does it look the third bit of the screen in this post?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1259295#post1259295
If so - that's O2 plus
If it is -- there's a download of the CAB later on in that thread - about 2 pages on
may be iLuncher?
O2Plusv2.3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=37720&d=1177340400
I think this is o2 plus, if you can wait till later I have a cab for version 2.3 which I use, it also allows profiles etc on today screen.
I do believe you are talking about SPB pocket plus.
This may be the one.
It was o2 plus... Thanks a million guys!

[CAB]/[OEM][New Manila Mods]All Programs Tab 4icons[V3.3][UPDATED]

LANDSCAPE WORKING
original method taken from Showaco
Ive spent quite a bit of time working on this now so i feel i can receive some credit for all of this work
Start Menu All Programs 4 iCONS (not working on programs page)
-[CAB]
v3.2
V3.3 - ONLY FOR LATEST MANILA 2.1.x
--------
-[OEM] -(copy file into manila directory in your kitchen)
V3.2
Does this only change the "All Programs" page or does it bring back the old style
start menu and bring back the programs tab?
Would it be possible to just create a cab that changes the "All Programs" section
to the 4 icons view instead of that massive long list that exists as of this moment.
i think the start menu need to be spaced out a bit more if anyones intrested ill keep updating
it should do both, thats what ive been trying to achieve if u want just the all programs to be boxes i should be able to do that for you
The "Start Menu" just looks too close and squashed and is it me or is it padded
to much from the left.
The "All Programs" screen looks fine though.
So would it be possible to only have "All Programs" and not the "Start Menu" mate?
Edit:
Just read your post, could you do that for me please. I like the new Start Menu Rhodium has and I prefer 3 applications per
row but definetely want to change the "All Programs" bit.
Navigating through a list is just too long. I don't understand what HTC were thinking LOL
yea it is , same thing i thought but it is a working example ill do you the all programs only now should be easy enough

But does this issue effect the cab you made me mate?

My T7373 Is Here !!! YAY !!

I haven't figured out how to do anything except insert the battery and sim but WOW .. My totally honest first impression is maybe I like it as well or better than my iphone .. That is saying A LOT !!!
If you like it already, just wait until you figure out how to turn it on!
And of course when you start flashing ROMS and so forth...
It is better than the iPhone yes, but it is an entirely different beast. Don't expect it to run perfectly stock. If you spend a little time hacking it you can get it to run almost exactly how you'd like it to.
And really, isn't hacking half the fun of owning a WinMo phone? I think so. Even after I have my phone set up perfectly on one ROM, the urge to reflash is so strong that I can only hold out for a month, maybe two at most, until I start all over again. Yay.
congrats! Once you start figuring your way around the phone be sure to visit this thread full of great apps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550973
If you have any questions you know who to call ghostbusters!
enjoy your new phone
That thread that burton gave you is definitely the best place to start, to learn about all sorts of things you can do with and to your new fav gadget.
Installing apps and tweaks to your phone is usually a simple matter of obtaining a .cab file for whatever you want to install, copy the .cab to your phone (to a file on the SD card is best, so you can leave them there for future re-use), and clicking on the .cab to run it. Once you're comfortable doing that, I would highly recommend running the two cabs I've attached here, they're a good idea for any new TP2 owner; they improve the native memory management in the phone, and free up memory much better once apps are done using it, and they'll go a long way towards making your whole experience better (without them, your memory use will keep creeping up on you until you reset).

You are so right. I have the HTC Shift pretty much since it came to the USA .. I bought one - unleashed FULL WinMo .. sold it .. then missed it and bought another. I have Full WinMo and Phone on it .. I think all I need is blue-tooth on the WinMo side and for WinMo to recognize a memory card. Pretty sure neither of those hacks have been worked out. I can wait!!
PS .. thanks for the link and the files as well .. First thing I am going to do is sync my contacts .. then PLAY ..
Well the Shift is an even more different beast. That thing really is a mini-computer. Not sure how great of a phone it would make.
Anyone know if HTC is planning on coming out with a successor to the Shift?
The shift is for sure a computer. I have Win7 on it and WinMo 6 I think .. There is no bluetooth on the phone side so voice comes out of the speaker. If you held it up to your head it would look ridiculous.
Still ... it is nice to have a phone in it, only because you can
Miss my iphone desktop - Home Screen
I think I have been using my iphone too long because I am having a horrible time figuring out a design I like. I miss my iphone desktop.
If you haven't already, try out SPB mobile shell. It gives a very customizable interface w/ widgets.
I think I have that App .. I will first look on my computer for it . thanks. The thing that I find annoying that I haven't figured out is when I click on the phone to make a call. It opens half keypad half contacts. No "hard" buttons to scroll up and down through the contact list. .. correct ??

That is partialy correct. It actually brings up your call log. To pull up a number from your contacts just start typing on the keypads (either the number i.e 818 555 1234 or the name ie. Dad = 323). You can also click the all contacts button and go to a pure list of contacts, which you can then scroll through with the touch screen.

whats going on here

Hi all,
please excuse the vagueness of this post.
I have just been given a tp2 as a replacement to my td2
My wife also has the tp2 which she got a year ago
the whole look of the phone (software ) is totally diferent
for instance the program page used to list a few progs (your choice) and then you had to hit all progs to get them up.
i am guessing that its a different rom or different version of sense?
also how do i change/edit/remove some programs from the list?
cheers guys
you'll need a registry editor to get the job done here, you can find that in the Theme's and apps section, i'll be back with a link, but you have to navigate to --
HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu
and where you see
EnableManilaStartMenu = 1
change the one to a zero and restart the phone, should work.
thanks for that
sorry to be thick but does that just enable me to move the prog icons or delete the progs as well
appreciate the help

You don't need to edit the registry to turn off Manila. This is easily done from the Today settings.

Different issues, my friend. Sense is the UI (aka Manila versions 2.1 and 2.5) you see when you start the phone. It is on by default, but you can turn it off in the Today setup and use the much less memory intensive standard Window Mobile screen. Go into the Today setup and turn off Sense by removing the check mark in the list and putting a check mark on Windows Default.
As for the bloatware that comes with the phone, anything on the ROM can not be removed except by flashing a new ROM. You can delete shortcuts from your start menu for programs you don't/won't use, but the programs will still be there. Do a search for Crud Scraper, a neat little tool that can 'remove' stuff from specific phone models (it worked great on my Tilt 2). Beyond that, read up as much as you can on modding your phone. This place is a great resource. Unfortunately, easy answers are hard to come by. You have to roll up your sleeves and get a little dirty.
