Just installed pointui very nice! what a change its like a new phone.

Yea its awesome.. Inspired by the iPhone. Hope their future versions will include themes support as i dont like the deep blue in it..

I think I remember reading somewhere that you simply delete the folder (and contents) from out of 'Program Files'. I think you run the uninstall through Add/Remove Programs first

Working fine on a HTC P3300 with Original WM6 French Rom

I have managed to uninstall, but it has taken over so many of the windows settings ie. Soft keys etc. that I have got to work out now which it has and which it hasn't and reset them. Decided to reflash the rom and do it that way.

Agree with the comments about uninstalling -it seems to get its hooks into your soft keys. I had to hard reset to sort it.
I am thinking of using it, if only I could work out how to customise the Favourites bit of the Applications part - ie the little arrow at the bottom of the screen.
Anyone know how to do this??

Very good piece of software
need some further improvements but as beta's go I think these guys are clearly on the right lines.
If they get mail, messages, contacts and phone dialer to be like the rest of the UI then it will be tops

i appreciate it's still in beta but this just looks damn basic and boring (and i don't mean simplistic and stylish)

The pictures on the site do not do it justice. i have installed and unistalled easy and have now put it back on it looks good.
I grant you a different coulour would be nice but it is stylish
everyone has an oopinion though

Kewl Deal..... works on my wm6.1 rom... a little buggy, but not too bad

Would be cool if Ricky added this to the new rom

It works well... although the vista cursor is a little jumpy. I'm thinking whoever made the PNGs didn't align them properly. heh

Yea I noticed that too.

It Would Be Cool To Have It But We Need A Cool Ass 6.1 Original Cursor. Just Something Interesting Not A Circle, Just What I Dont Know But There Are Some Smart People On Here That Can Figure Something Out.

It'd be sweet to have a spinning yin-yang symbol!

I installed it and I got the tux dude. now I tried to follow the instructions on changing the cursor to vista but I didn't find the hklm/software/marshall folder. How did you change it to vista?

It's in current user/software.. The instructions were wrong

Worked like a charm, thank you

i cant get this to work at all. i install it like it says then restart and i get noting, it uses the normal loading thing when it starts back up. also i tried switching it in the reg and got nothing. even tried to uninstall and reinstall.

I got this to install with Organic's reg edit help. Whenever I use it on let's say My Photos to load a pic from that panel, it shows the waiting icon I selected which does rule, but when it's done loading that icon it shows the background in a little square in the center of my pic. That is where the loading icon/cursor is located. I change from one pic to the next, and there is a waiting cursor, and once again there is a square with the previous picture's center located in the middle.
I know this might not seem like a BIG deal, but these are the fine details that kill a program and it's utility in a homescreen.
PLEASE HELP!!

Same thing has been happening to me... I'm going to uninstall it. Good idea, but that ruins it.

damn i just noticed that...im upset now. i finally get it to work and was enjoying it till this lol. oh well.

I dont think someone is gonna cook a rom just to replace the waiting icon/cursor, it would would be easier just to make a better looking one .

if your making your owen rom then look in the dump folder and look for a dll called shellres.dll open it with a Resource Hacker change it then save it then move it back to the dump folder

Anyone Fix the Background4AllTabs "strip" problem

It is very annoying and I know a LOT of you have isntalled Background4AllTabs, so someone MUST have been able to fix this issue....
Any help is much appreciated

i've been searching the forums for a while now and can't seem to find a definitive answer either. again, any help would be greatly appreciated. i'm very keen to remove the current tronesque wallpaper, lol.

Im sorry.. i thought everyone knew...
When you install the background4AllTabs, everything works fine, excet for the manila menues... like All Programs, stocks, Music Player etc and the rest which have the default white background to a height of only 640. The Touch HD has a height of 800 so this leaves a transparent gap of about 160px which is annoying because the programs and items are still lsited.. just no white background.. gives it a very dirty look... there are screenshots in another thread... but i dont have one to be able to post...

Thanks I was going to install it...downloaded before....but now that you told me of this problem I'm reconsidering it and probably I will wait for the final release then...

I tried to PM Nisse and Mun_rus.. who originally made it... and did not get an answer back from them. Seems like the community has beens tuck on this for a while (or it is not a priority). mun_rus got ill so cant really blame him...
Anyway, its times like these i knew a litte bit more to be able to manila edit the right file and change the height of the background...
Hopefully someone will come up with an answer... i dont think there will be a final release... I did wish that Nisse didnt advertise it for the TouchHD as it clearly has this problem.. although mind you.. it does work as advertised...

So are you saying.. that :
1) you have your own background in all the tabs (meaning u have installed background4alltabs)
2) When you go to All programs in Manila... you dont get a stripe on the top...
Can you please post screenshots... i have tried everything and I know there are many of us who ahve done the same.

Just read the thread a bit better now, and I think I just misunderstood. I get full pictures on all tabs, but not sure about "all programs" etc. I don't use it anymore because of the low resolution on the pictures.

So my fears are confirmed... no one knows how... and no one cares...

Find at the bottom a version that will allow the Background in all versions, without the strip problem

It's not very important, cause for the home screen you can put an image 800x480 with the wallpaper option in Parameters, so you just have to choose if you want the 1st version without black strip but with the bug in "All Programs" and "Music" or the 2nd version with black stripe at the top but no bug "All Programs" and "Music"

Get background for all tabs with itje's 5.xx

Since I installed itje's 5.xx rom I have been looking for a way to put a background for all tabs, but evrth I install would mess up something else (the clock), or even worse it would work but in portrait it'd be zoomed in, and after lots of trial and error I finally reached the best combo.....
What I did was that first I installed " Plain HD TF3D " and then " mUn bg4allTabs_stockLike_v1"...
this is nth gr8 but i hope this will help anybody out !!

and i take no credit for the files uploaded all thnx go to those who developed this great apps !

I didn't try that out because I prefer having the background only in the tabs.....you could try that out and if it works share it with everyone

Yes, ultimate works well. Very bling bling.

Tried it and looks nice but stops the new style HTC start menu from working!
Anyone found a workaround, would really like them both.

here try this cab....it'll restore the old style start menu
on a personal note though my experience taught me that bg4all tabs slows down tf3d....so the best idea would be to learn making your own manila bg,,,or post the bg you want to have here and i'll see what i can do (specify your rom)!!

Thank u! But when I install two *.cab above, all background ok. But when I klich in start menu it don't work ( I used start menu of Touch-IT v7)).

restart your device....you will get the normal "old" start menu

For Touch-It V7.0 USERS:
install only mUn bg4allTabs_stockLike_v1.cab
its works fine by me!!!

And my general advice ramains ....LEARN TO MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND WITH MANILA EDITORS !!!
really i can't emphasize how better this is ....much much faster !!!

When I unstall (remove) mUn bg4allTabs_stockLike_v1.cab. I can use start menu (new menu - as basic 7.1 Room). But when I click to messages tab in touchflo3d, I can't opent my messages and, then touchflo3d have some error. restart touchflo3d or dont open.

About the messages tab, it has nothing to do with this cab. You can find the fix on itje's Touch-IT v7 thread on page 40.

does anybody know where itje got his background in the 5er series of his touch-it rom? Want this floral background back

i have a feeling that if we learn how to use this, many amazing skins can be made for our excaliburs.

I have downloaded it...initially tried to use it to make a preliminary of my Horizon Skin (which i hope to release soon). I found that it isn't (for me atleast) worth the effort.
Maybe I am just a super-noob with it, but I found it confusing and hard to actually design panels. It didn't work by the basis of centering the main panel or putting the active panel at the top...it was more like the screen was all active panels and I would have to scroll to each one. I found it annoying, but that is my take.
If someone can figure out how to efficiently use this program, then i saw more power to them, and maybe i will try this program again.
A few notes:
-Always exit correctly, sometimes it gives an error the next time starting
-Be sure to put your Bronzeres.dll in the WINDOWS folder there (it'll add some images)
-You can replace the default background
-I think putting the cmhomeres.dll and cmhomeres.dll.0409.mui (or whatever the second is) adds some text too.
-Make a backup of your registry and put it in the windows folder, then load it (It'll enable the use of the DLL's)

i had the same issue with all the active panels, but what i did was i deactivated all the panels and just started with changing around the clock panel, so that helped.
i guess im more noob than you lol, but where is the cmhomeres.dll things? and how do you use them with the program because all i did was import a .cpr file.

Hey... when I get home I will send you the files. . . they are located in the windows folder on your phone. The file contains system text, I don't know just how much if does... but it is worth putting in.... I hope to release the Horizon theme and others soon!!!

I believe on the tools menu it has all the options "import registry" and "set background"....besides that, it reads the DLL files AUTOMATICALLY...

it asks for files called .rgu or .reg, what are those?

It actually does we just didn't name it that, but WM6.5 has suddenly become CHome and will be the reason how much users will know it as that.
Original Config - CHome Configurator for WM6.1: Version 1.1.0.5 FINAL (UPDATED - 2008/07/11)
CHome Refresh another tool we used to make the homescreen refresh.
But anyway the only way to get it is to flash 6.1 or 6.5 not available as .cab.......

On your phone go to the start menu then to Accessories, and then click RESCO REGISTRY (that is where it is on my phone). Get to the point where you see only HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_CURRENT_USER or something like that...it is the highest you can go. Select all of those and select "export registry" (DONT FORGET TO SELECT ALL OF THEM). I kno the program doesn't use all of it, but it is safer that way (in my opinion)

Hmm...haha, I never got that far (didn't have the patience)
I would suppose there is a way on the FILE menu to save the CPR. Do so, then copy the CPR file to the Windows Folder on your folder.
Two notes:
1-The CPR file MUST be named (in this case for simplicity) titanium_320x240.cpr
2-BACKUP YOUR OLD ONE THAT IS ALREADY THERE!!!YOU DONT WANT TO LOSE THAT ONE!
