Just wondering... has anyone managed to get FPSce running on their Hermes successfully in wm6? I tried it on mine, it starts up but it ends up in the ps cdplayer/memory card menu, just like when you didn't have a cd in the ps in the old days.
i tried both uncompressed image, and compressing the iso with pocketISO (ff vii), then loading from that but no success. I have also tried all kinds of different settings.
So, have anyone of you guys managed to get FPSce running on your Hermes? is it worth a try, or is hermes too slow?
thanks for your time.
It's not worth it.. I tried it before and man, the buttons and stuff sucks..
other emulators work perfectly

Snes, nes and gba emulators work perfectly..! At least i have no problems using the keyboard for the games but did you manage to actually start a game and play it with fpsce??
it works but slow.gta2 is only one running somehow playable what ive tested.
when i had a hermes previously, i had wipeout 2097 and final fantasy 7 working100%, since trying on my second hermes, it just goes to cdplayer/mem card page, a friend who uses wm5 rom it plays perfect, so i think that could be problem (his phone is not a hermes)

I happen to travel a lot, and often end up checking the same stuff over and over again on the net.
And i am getting sick and tired of Solitaire
Does anyone know of a fun game, wich doesnt get old to quickly? (i dont mind paying for a really good game, but freeware is welcome to)
Also i have been looking for something like a GBA emulator but they are few and far between.
So if anyone knows of a good working Emulator (with sound!) feel free to point me at it
Also, any way to get MSN to work on the Artemis?
What about emulator of GB/GBC - Pocketgnuboy, it's free and has hundreds of games.

Dunno if this helps, but I've had some fun with there:

Bejeweled (and BJ II), Zooma, Another Ball, Go, Backgamon.
Enjoy
Can anyone advise how to play worms world party as there is no d-pad?
Where are the games for these emulators? Haven't found any.
Thanks

I'd probably get into trouble for saying the exact sites, but Google sure does pick up a lot of details and the SCUMMVM program should have some free* games (BASS, etc) on the site.
The only one thats a major issue is the Playstation emulator which is both slow and of course the lack of buttons on the phone. Other than that, the emulators work brilliantly.
*free as in they've been included on cover discs of magazines, etc.
I'll take a look at that PocketGNUboy, thanx!
ScummVM does not seem to have a Windows Mobile 5 version, or does it?
Then there's MSN, did they stop making that for PDA's?

You can use the 2003 version, that works fine.
SuDoKu
I sudoku most times...the games always makes you think differently, even if playing the same game...good for your brain cells.
The version I downloaded....now I cant remember where from is Superdoku - google it.
All the best
anyone?? RE: no d-pad on worms. it's very inconvenient try to use the scroll wheel or the roller ball and you can be precise and u have to keep repeating rather than holding a button.

Not really, i installed that version and my clock dissapeared, i needed to reset my device to get it back :/
I'm not a hard player but I've been looking for a good PPC game for a long time. Got really bored with Solitaire. Tried chess and a few other games. The problem always was that PPC is not a very good platform for complicated games especially if it comes to controls. Recently I found a game that is great. Well - it's not free but kills the time perfectly. It's Virtual Pool Mobile by Celeris. The graphic is cool, fantastic phisics model and very easy control. You can play and play. Many modes to choose. I recomend it.
P.S.
I don't work for them

- Resco Diamonds
- Worms World Party
- Resco Guardians Ultimate Collection
i'm still having no luck playing worms without a d-pad on the orbit. can ANYONE help me?!
The PDA Mill collections are really cool I love PDAMill Gamebox Classics. Has very addictive puzzle games with nice sound and graphics. If you like asian games like Sokoban you can also try PDA Mill Gamebox Asia!
Sky Force 1.1 is another game to recommend. It also plays nicely with the trackball Same with the free Space Invaders you can get from Microsoft if you register for the Win Mobile Newsletter
Have fun.
The lack of a pad is really the only weakness of the Artemis I've found so far but it's not that tragical with games.
Girders... not free but great

Some more must have games:
1. Bounty Hunter 2099 - Fantastic pinball!!!!
2. Fishopolis - You must shoot fishes Sound lunatic, but is fantastic in reality. The game uses the camera as a motion detector
3. Age of Empires Gold - You should know what this is and it is very, very good on the PPC...
4. 9 Hole Golf - Cool 3D golf and completely free. Get it from Microsoft.com
5. Need for Speed: High Stakes - Another PC port to the PPC. Plays with the touchscreen...
6. Tomb Raider - Lara in your pocket (tm). Too good to miss if you are into young sexy brunettes

I installed the new LVSW OS and a flashplayer. Now I can see YouTube video on my 8525! This was not possible prior to the new LVSW release! Way cool!!
Is this common for everyone here? Having youtube working.
Thanks for all the hardwork eveyone!
thatboyp
which flashplayer?
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/
Cheers for the quick reply!
This is awesome! Never gotten YouTube to work before.........too cool!
It works for me too...but quite slow/choppy (even on 3G network)... my problem is, perhaps, that I am viewing with PIE ... what are other folks using to log-in to youtube?
Have you tried either deleting/adding the proxy, or the DNS server tweak? Might solve the choppy issue, but I can't test right now.
I installed Macromedia Flash Player 6 for Pocket PC. into my main device and now it work on youtube. I will try myspace video today.
LOL seriously, that's awesome thanks
Bizzare,
I installed the latest flash (7) player, installed fine, but youtube showing message saying i may have javascript disabled or an old version of flash?

I see this as well, on an older build I was able to get orb flash videos to work but they were choppy.

Yeah, I second this!!! Even if you lower the quality, increase size of disk used, or wait for complete video download to play. It still is choppy, but at least we are closer.
running WM6 LVSW 25032007 and working great here with flash 7!
Also try www.albinoblacksheep.com
I love the flash videos here and was surprised they work! I tested the blowjob song.
Have fun!
Can anyone verify if this works on WM5?
I installed it and I am getting the same message that I have javascript turned off so I guess it doesn't work with WM5.
Let's see...this is the Hermes WM6 forum and the first post did mention LVSW... Why was it ever a question if it would work on WM5???
I get the same message about having JavaScript turned off or an old version of Flash...
Anyone using WM6 Black 1.2 able to watch videos on youtube?
guys,
which flash player are you really using ?
I have FP7 from Adobe and I can't see Youtube videos on PIE with WM6 (XDA 0.2 OS)
I am using FP 7 with LVSW OS. This is the only OS that current is working on my 8525. I have tested previous favors (OS), but not one of them was successful in playing YouTube video. I think it currently only work on the LVSW OS, I could be wrong.

Thanks for confirming this i guess my problem is because im running AX3L v3.1.2 Full ROM do you think the light version might work or do i need to flash with bepe light 0.79 ROM
I confirm ScummVM 0.10.0 runs fine on my trinity with Faman's ROM. ScummVM exe files are stored on my trinity memory, and games on the miniSD card (runs faster that way).
Naturally even GUYBRUSH's Lasagna3 loads greatly ScummVM .
I'm playing Monkey Island 2 on it as we speak without any problems whatsoever.
Thanks everyone for letting me know it works on the Trinity trouble is it just wont load on mine it start to load spinning windows wheel then thats it has anyone had it running on AX3L ROM

i have a problem with this. because in the starting screen (protection screen) it doesn't appear the keyboard.
Have anyone seen and tryied the game from SmartCell?
They got a name called shadow of legend
I downloaded it for my Artemis and it goes pretty well with Wi-Fi networking...
Don't even try to use it on GPRS mode or EDGE mode, cuz it consumes almost a whole 2GB card for files AND a lot of bandwith to work....so, WiFi is more secure not to have slowdowns during gameplay
Also, it works with a soft keypad from the own game, which saves us from having to buy a compatible qwerty keyboard........
Pretty good game, I just need to get it downloaded for PC to try on desktop too
for the ones wanting a link, here it goes: Shadow of Legend
Just for everyone that reads the thread knows, I'm in search of MMO games for Artemis/Pocket PC with Touchpad for studies....
If anyone get to know any MMORPG or other kind of MMO that can be run on Artemis, let me know, so I can study more and make better games later on!
Thanks for the hand!
Cya later ppl!

Try this link
This place below has tons of apps. Try it out.
I am in no way endorsing this site, so don't think I'm spamming. I hate that crap, but to honestly answer your question about the emulator, this place has almost any smartphone software and all you hav to do is give them your email and setup a password, and you are a member. That simple, they have hundreds of pages of apps. Check it out.

NO! they don't!
for example NFS Undercover was working perfectly on my moto q9h with wm6.0.
now after upgrading to 6.1 the game crashes on the "EA logo" screen..

Actually, they work.
I have a SPV M3000 (HTC Wiza200, Qtek 9100 whatever) with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and I played (finished) NFS Undercover. No crash, perfectly working.
So, they work !
