Can anyone suggest a Spanish-English Dictionary? - HTC Excalibur

I'm taking some pretty intensive Spanish Classes here in Spain (native English Speaker and it's my first, second language if that makes sense). We are allowed and encouraged to use dictionaries in class but I've seen the electronic type are much faster.
Can anyone suggest one that might work on my Dash? Free is always good, but I'll also consider some inexpensive ones.
Thanks for your help.

A new kid on the block? Opinion, anybody?

Being a pda freak, I'm always looking for a better device. Having just sold my JAM, I am inclined to switch to the HTC Universal-based model. However, being unlucky to be based in Kazakhstan (the notorius "Stan"!), I have found it very difficult to talk to the online stores such as eXpansys or MobilePlanet. They simply do not make deliveries to this region.
However, I found this website, www.qtekuk.com which, after I wrote to them, responded that they would be able to deliver to Kazakhstan.
My quesiton is, has anyone dealt/heard of these guys? I need a second opinion before I make a money transfer.
Replies at soonest are much appreciated as I need to make up my mind (there is one guy in town waiting to sell me the item but his price is not as attractive).
Thanks and regards
Try some other sellers too.
Hi I noticed you didn't get answer yet to your question. I can't tell much about that, but my advice would be ,that if you're planning to buy a gadget like that, you could also spend a few extra dollars and actualy call them to make an idea about the company. Also, read throughout the forum and you'll find a lot of sellers especialy in uk from whitch people bought already.
Good luck.
qtekuk.com = SDD
"qtekuk.com" are none other than SmartDevicesDirect. I don't know if they have become the official distributor in the UK, or if the domain and site are just designed to look that way. (qtek.co.uk still redirects to agbglobal, Qtek's parent company).
Search the forum if you want other people's experiences of them (good and bad). Personally I prefer not to put my trust in companies that use mulitple identities, or that charge credit cards up front for stock they haven't got. Plus I hate web sites that play cheesy music as soon as you land on their home page. YM, of course, MV.
Hey striker_69, sorry I missed your post before. I would say don't bother with this firm. £610 is outrageously expensive. You could buy one from someone trustworthy on eBay for around £150-200 LESS than that. Since you are in Kazakhstan you would need to pay via bank transfer probably (a lot of PayPal fraud occurs in Eastern Europe and also in India, Thailand, nigeria, etc as I am sure you are aware).
Hmm, can't really comment, but after seeing that guy on the intro to their site, well, 'I wouldn't buy a used car from him!'
Hope it works out for you

Softbank x01ht w/English ROMs

newbie here, just want your expert opinion.
I'm living in Tokyo and looking at the Softbank version of the Hermes. I don't read japanese and want to install one of the English ROMs, but I worry that I am losing some critical carrier-only functionality.
Does anything know if the PDA will still work as a mobile phone with the Softbank/Vodafone network if I install the English ROMs? Is this a bad idea? I'm still going to use the Softbank SIM card.
TIA
Hi TIA,
Before you worry about loosing some functionality, I don't think you can burn any non-SB ROM onto your X01HT yet since no one has found the way yet. (X01HT has a newer ROM which prevents from buring any ROMs not authrized by the carrier.)
Secondly, even if you could successfully change the SB ROM to any other WWE ROMs on your X01HT, there is no phone function you would loose, and you could use the device in the same way as the original.
As for the internet connection built in X01TH, it's been analyzed and is no longer a secret.
Thanks. That's the type of definitive message that I was looking for. Oh well, time to look for another phone.
mixersoft,
people say good things might come to those who wait!
finally, imei-check has added x01ht to their list. now, you can unlock network and career lock with them. this means you can use other careers' SIM and burn any ROM you want.
http://www.imei-check.co.uk/m3100unlock.php
p.s.
you need paypal. this is the pain-in-ass!!!
English X01HT
Wow. That was quick. Then do my newbie ears hear you guys correctly that I can unlock an X01HT, and then burn an English ROM onto it, and have a perfectly good WiFi-enabled PDA/mobile phone for use in Japan or elsewhere?
If that is the case, I will go ahead and buy it. If there is anyone here that wants me to get some data off the phone before I switch, let me know. But since I have you here, is there an English Extended ROM that people generally consider the best?
Mixer,
I would be very careful buying a PDA from Softbank since the charges can be unbelievable pricey - there is no "all you can eat option"
and the super happy packet is less than "super happy"
I have a Orange M3100 on Softbank and with light usage my bill is about 10,000 - 11,200 without any phone calls
I'm really looking at the Zero 3 (es) and the english mui done by
one of the admins of these forums since Willcomm has a "all you can eat option"
Rob
Also if you install the english roms you will have to install a japanese font/patch to view japanese web pages again

softbank has started providing a flat rate option called "dual packet discount - PC site direct" (about 10,000) for unlimited internet use on x01ht since they started selling x01ht in japan although you have to use open softbank ap to enjoy this flat rate.
willcom provides a true flat rate for any isp, but 10,000 for 128kbps? i would choose 10,000 for 1.8Mbps with softbank because i live in their HSDPA coverage. the price difference is not as large as the speed difference.
Help me, I cannot use Flexmail 2007 on my x01ht. It's cannot store all of information that I set (account, setting..). Only registration key is stored.

Language/Voice Translation App?

i've been seeing advertisements for an app for the iphone called jibbigo, that allows a person to speak into the phone, and the app on the phone will translate the phrase or word into another language which is then audibly spoken back out. kind of a speak-translate-hear (in different language) app, and this works in reverse.
here's the weblink: http://www.jibbigo.com/website/
unfortunately this app is only for the iphone right now. so i was wondering if anyone else knows of a similar app that will work with windows mobile 6.5?
i'll be traveling through switzerland, and then to south africa for the world cup this summer, and it'd be great to have a little help right there in my phone... all i have now is what i've learned from the rosetta stone lessons i've been taking

lol. this is funny
Hello, I'm looking for someone to start a company with. I have an idea but no money or aspiration. I just need someone that can do all administration and other work. My idea is ready and i can draw a picture of an elephant to promote it, so that's no problem at all. I also went to school once.
I declare this thread epic, as I wait for the UPS truck to arrive with my T-Mobile G2...

There is a new WindowsPhone 7 developers forum managed by MVP's. Soon they will post, samples and info about Windows Phone Development.
Should be a good start in the future :
http://www.windowsphone7developer.com/
Although I found a lot of humor in this, I also felt somewhat annoyed by the poster's question. My honest answer is to start the way everyone else starts.
Option 1:
Learn through Google, Wiki, forums, and Ask.com tutorials.
Option 2:
Mess around with Visual Basic until you can write what you want.
Option 3:
Take classes
A hint is that if you don't understand the concepts after the first two options, give up. It either comes to you or it doesn't. Don't waste money on classes because you'll also have to take math classes (I'm guessing that you don't learn useful math in graphical design).
Hope I have helped.
Regards,
Anthony
