i just saw the demo of the TouchFLO software for the HTC Touch.
Does anybody know if this also will work on the Artemis?

no it's not possible on the artemis cause they use a differend kind a touchscreen.
but i really like the shortcutscreen with pictures to dial. i hope someone can make it available for the artemis
spb mobile shell has a pic dialer
there's a file called todayphoto.cab i think, that's a home screen plugin where you can just touch the picture to initiate a call. has limitations, but works

I don't think so. It must be the same technology.
Ich you think of Apples Multitouch: HTC Touch doesn't have it.
I have been shown a bandango video of an S200 working flawessly with touchflo interface.

If touchflo runs on a S200 screen, it should run also on artemis
What i dont know is if it would run only under WM6, or also under WM5
Hi, I've just had a quick look at the Elf/Touch on youtube, very very nice. So it has finger scrolling of all lists kinda like Larna's iContacts. I just downloaded a rom dump from the touch and it looks like if I had any idea at all what I was looking at there might be a dll or an exe or something else that could just be copied into my orbit so I could have that lovely scroll thing, Yeah and the contacts app looks really good as well. The animated launcher cube looked nice but spb mobile shell comes close at least in a utilitarian way in functionality.
The rom dump was dead easy to find by searching in the Elf forum. Would be nice if a brain could have a sniff through it.

I have been looking for software that will allow me to run a VGA application on my PPC that is only equipped with a QVGA screen. I have seen the packages that do the reverse but, nothing that the direction I need.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nyditot for all i know is only for ppcs with VGA display to enable SEVGA, what he is asking is to enable VGA apps to run on his QVGA screen, which if im not mistaken is not possible (if this was otherwise im guessing you'll need a microscope to read the damn font which is already small in QVGA) . For VGAs you cant try tweaks2k2's TrueVGA brute force without actually changing the resolution of the PPC, it only affects the program which was VGA brute Forced. This is useful for adobe pocket reader or IE to see all the contents without scrolling sideways.

I have an app that only runs on 640.480. It is a app that runs my home automation. It is built for PPC but has the resolution requirement.

Thank you very much. All I need it to do is to trick the app into thinking it is running on a VGA screen. I do not mind scrolling if I need to. Since it is a GUI for a secrurity system. The prints can be small as it is all button based. It looks kinda' like a remote control.

this may not help much but how bout asking their support services to release a qvga version of it, im sure they are amenable to that since majority of today's PPCs are QVGA hence more revenues for them.
Yeah, I tried that. No go. They use the software on their WinCE touchscreen panels that use a 640*480 screen. They made the software available for free to the installers. THe panels are like $1000USD. They are not much into software.

It isn't out yet. The 3d Touchflo Interface debuts with the HTC Diamond. Should be out by June/July.
I forgot to mention that the 3d Touchflo Interface demands better hardware and memory than most of the devices any of us has currently. The chances that it will run smoothly with our devices are very slim.
I think its a little sluggish on Touch Diamond itseld from what Ive heard from some of those who attended the press event.
Imagining it on Artemis could only be a joke.. It requires a GPU. And it also looks like this application has a lot of locks preventing cookers from porting. But still XDA-dev has much better hackers to overcome those. Lets wait for the devices on the market first.

but remember it is only for VGA ppcs n wont work on artemis
some people hav tried it on various VGA ppcs n the app runs only on HTC made ppcs(doesnt work on O2 XDA flame)

a developer called dobb try to adapt the manila VGA to QVGA and release a version alpha and beta that works in the qvga devices but obviously run slow and need to adapt the soft buttons. You can install the cab of VGA version and the dll's, thus overwrite the files in manila folder with the alpha or beta version of QVGA.(This version need to polish more)
The version posted for sheennick123456 was a beta of touchflo3d leaked in january 2008, and with greater reason, the actual version should run faster.
I have no doubt that any developer here not only achieved by extracting the touchflo3d but also the driver to run correctly.
Think about that:
When "Touch" released, HTC said the touchflo could only run on those Devices because of the special hardware (screen), but there are many of us who run the touchflo in our Artemis without such hardware (screen).

really it isn't working... i installed it and i don't know how to uninstall.. anybody??
it creates a folder named manila somewhere in the device memory
i dont recollect the exact path but i guess it is in the my documents
all u have to do is delete this folder
If you want to uninstall you have to:
delete the folder in Program Files/Manila
delete all registry in HKLM/software/microsoft/today/items/manila
delete manilatoday.dll in windows folder
I tried in my artemis and works slowly but the second beta needs more work.

that's what i did on "blind" thanks anyway... let's hope that some of the "gods" over here will adjust it for Artemis

I previously owned the att tilt so i had the M3D cab file on my computer.After doing some changes to my registry on my new Incite i discoverd that i had D3D and Direct Draw drivers installed on it.Went out on a limb and installed M3D.Runs much better and faster than it did on my tilt on this phone.It is also able to hibernate unlike the tilt and can shutdown/startup with M3D active.Now we just need some WQVGA skins =P

Did you install the M3D made for the tilt? My sister just got an incite and I think she'd like this.
Yes its the same version made for the tilt.Some problems with it tho like when the screen rotates and rotates back to potrait the buttons are offset.I just hope theres a way to port it to WQVGA

Can you upload the TF3D file to rapidshare or something? I had a Tilt as well and had this then deleted the file when I bought an iPhone. Now I'm using an unlocked Omnia and I really want to try this on it.

Similar to what kareem9nba did for the Raphael, Hermes and Kaiser (and I did for prophet users) I'm opening up a service to let you request ROMs with the apps/tweaks you want, without the crap you don't want!
The ROMs will (for now) be based on the 2.03 shipped ROM, but I may start using a newer XIP/SYS when I get a decent, stable one - yes, that means no WM6.5 custom ROMs yet, sorry but I don't have the time to port everything yet!
What I can do:
Programs/Games:
Thousands of these. - I'll add paid apps, but you have to supply the registration details, or add them during the first run.
Version:
You want a clean ROM? say so, and I'll strip the rubbish. Want the sample images left in? again, say so and I'll leave them.
Other:
Whatever else you'd like. Can be tweaks, changes to the OS or whatever. I can also include your chosen radio OS, or splashscreen if wanted.
Preferred Upload Host:
I'll upload it wherever you want, and drop you a PM when it's done.
I'll probably have the apps you want already. If not, I may need a cab file to add what you want.

Lol, you didn't steal it. The more we could expand on it, the better I just recently got a Universal so i'm thinking of opening it there (cooking is quite different there so still have to get used to it :S).

What can I say apart from WOW . I am very interested in this as I have been wanting to do my own diamond ROM for a while but not had the time due to a new baby.

This may take a bit of time as duttys ROMs are rather well protected.
I should be able to get everything going though.

That shouldn't be too difficult, bar the fact the the sprint Diamond is CDMA, so I won't be able to test it directly to make sure it all works. I can probably test all the parts on my GSM Diamond, but I may need to get you to test things once or twice.

Again, that shouldn't be to hard. One thing though, what kind of battery icon? One that replaces the little 4 bar one in the title bar, or one that provides the bar across the top of the screen?

Can I get a rom based on the latest leaked sprint rom wwe 2.00.651.1 and give the latest but best radio with the whole diamond2 tf3d tricked and tweaked out on low memory can I get that?

not so much a rom, but mainly just a cab to install the '3' tab into the tf3d from the pro (or whatever one they are using) if it's possible?
What about another of your own great roms but put all cabs for apps you usually include into a folder so that we may install what we like. Do the same for tf3d, tweaks etc. I mean in a folder within the ROM itself.
