I have n520 deutch language model.
Everytime I try to update its ROM I get this message:
The language in this Flash Image update (ENGLISH) differs from that on your device (DEUTSCH)!
You have to use no ID installer
I have MaUpgradeUt_noID installer. But when i try to open it says: UpdateRadio could not be located in the dynamic link lybrary RUU.dll
I put this file into WM6_18125 folder, there are all files including ruu.dll
men.. wtf? why do you use RUU from other devices? i told you many times, open os_122u.nbf with winhex and replace ENG in the beginning once with

I had hungarian one.
I cold reset it and becomes german. Then modify it as you said and worked.
Just I had an error in winhex when I want to save. But I used XVI32 (free) and worked.

Download this file from the XDA FTP : MaUpgradeUtnoID
Extract the files of the ROM that you have to a folder, then copy the above file to the same directory then run the noID file TWICE
Twice because normally the 1st time will give a country ID error, then run it right after again, this should work

4b. search the Change the key

4c. edit - Layout in decimal to 66567

I just bought the qtek 9000 but os is in french, i have the os in english but when i want to do this it says wrong rom. Could someone please guide me threw this problem.
Also if i'm able in the future to get it upgraded in english wont i have a problem with the azerty keyboard, cause english os is with qwerty keyboard no?????

First, extact your new english rom, than repace files in new rom with files in my package. Put universal in bootloader mode, run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe wait... 30-40 minute and enjoy new rom

Extract from where and how?? also upgrade tool is showing picture from S100 and mine is 9000?? then how do you put your phone in bootloader mode??? and what about keyboard problem???? I know that You have country id problem, I will try to explain how to.
1 If you have upgrade file as XXXX.exe you will have to extract that file using win rar (just right klik on it and extract to your folder.
2. Unpack file from my package WM2005reinstall.rar
3. Replace file in the original unpacked rom with files from WM2005reinstall.rar (RUU.dll , Getdevicedata.exe ...
4. Run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe That file has no country specyfied so You can install Your rom (English). It is working in all MDA so don't worry about different picture.
Hope it wiil be clear if not - write ...

Here's your solution:
1. Get a registry editor. Here is a free one :
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=92
2. Look at the value in the following:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty
The DWORD should show what the FRENCH code is for in XXXXX format. Write this down.
3. Upgrade to the new english ROM
4. Install again the RegEditor
5. GO to same local key and the key will be 66589. Change this to the value of the french keyboard (value you got from step 2)

when i put Power+Camera+Recorder + reset to the SD download mode phone must have nb0 file
i rename AsusP535.cap V.4.7.13 FRA to GalaxyII.nb0 but i have wrong language when i make this

this archive contains nb0 file with eng wm5 p535rom and russian support, copy it to miniSD press and hold recorder+power+navigation down+reset (5 sec). It will return back wm5 on your device.
On wm5 press start menu go settings --> system settings --> regional settings ang change it you like
If all be right you may try agan to update your device to wm6 :
1) Extract to miniSD asusp535.cap from official asus firmware archive.
2) Copy asusp535.cap to galaxy.cap (on miniSD)
3) Copy asusp535.cap to galaxyII.cap (on miniSD)
4) Download and extract attached archive (it have folder 2577 with autorun.exe and ASUS.UnlockLangID.exe)
5) copy folder 2577 to miniSD
6) copy ASUS.UnlockLangID.exe
file structure of minisd :
\2577\autorun.exe
\asusp535.cap
\galaxy.cap
\galaxyII.cap
\ASUS.UnlockLangID.exe
7) Now ! put miniSD to device
8) If upgrade programm say to you "language is not your device" or simmilar

I know the issue, you definitely used a 256M miniSD card for the upgrade. please use a larger card than 256Mb. or you will encouter checksum error again

Try this: format the miniSD in FAT, not FAT32. I have had the same error message as you...

this is important because, ASUS released a new WM6 rom for Taiwan users, which have V1.86 extended ROM. Because Taiwa users called ASUS 0800 phones, and complained about Camera bug.

i think all you need is "ASUS Camera dll.dll" file from archive AdditionPkgWWE.CAB in extended ROM
i could extract the files from AsusP535.cap that contains core wm6 dll, but i coun't extract files from GalaxyII.cap. is this the archive that contains "install.Thailand.CAB" and "SDHC_V5.CAB" extended ROM?
my dream is to construct an WWE WM6 rom that contains core wm6 rom, and updated AdditionPkgWWE.CAB from V1.86 extended ROM but not contains "install.Thailand.CAB" and "SDHC_V5.CAB". Because i don't live in thailand and iGO is not working with SDHC drivers

Hy , I get a P535 FR, ist's it possible anyway to chenge to IT.
I 've all ready try to install the original asus package from fra to ita but i get the
language error message.
Sorry but i haven' t exèperience with PDA hardware.
Can I use the descrived method? :

to get the ita version of
galaxyII.nb0
and then try to install it ? Is into galaxyII.cab aftrer the rom tool process only the wm6 in IT or it's containing the IT firmware too?
I think theat the best think to reach is to get an hardware with IT Firmware with IT WM6 installed.
Actually I have install e the last FR disponible asus version.
Please help Me, I don't wont risk to damage or locking the P535.

I has flashed my C720W with "HTC_S620_WWE_1.27.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90" English ROM, with built-in with XT9. I want to type Traditional Chinese. Can anyone give me the Chinese IME for Xt9? Or anyone can assist me to install and setup Keytouch IME (I can extract the dll files but no registry from the Singapore ROM)?

The forum in PDAFANS is talking about "Plum Input" which supports only simplified Chinese. How can I type traditional chinese?

Hi forum,
i´m trying to traslate Lennys rom into spanish. i´ve done every thing acording to rom traslation thead but i can´t boot my device after flashing.
What have i done:
1. i`ve dumped de rom (prepare_imgfs,.... viewimgfs....) finally i get the dumped folder.
2. I`ve translate all mui files to spanish (0c0a) i also change dictionaries, html help files, autocorrect file,.... and msim.dll to msimes.dll
3. I`ve edit initialflashfile.dat and changed all routes to spanish. i`ve saved the file on unicode and delete the two first bytes with an hex editor.
4. i`ve change default.hv and user.hv routes to spanish. (i also compare with other spanish dumped rom default.hv and user.hv files and everything looks correct).
5. i´ve build
6. i change de pagepool
7. create the crc file.
8. i flash the cooked rom into device and no problem. but when i make an hardreset the device dont boot. it hangs on dell blue start splash.
where its the error? can someone help me? i`m deseperated!!! i`ve do the same process and always the same error.
