my tap screen doesnt work i upgraded my vario 2 but i cannot get past the tap screen to set it up. could someone please point me the right direction. thanks

I had simular problem and eventually tried removing the screen protector and everything worked fine, then replaced screen protector and worked for 3 days but stopped working again so I have ordered new screen protectors. Hope this is the solution for your problem.

I've bought a XDAIIi in Singapore yesterday. It ran perfectly as the first time. After that I hardreseted it. When it came to the second screen which asked to touch the screen to continue the process, cos I'm had something to do so I turn the power off by the power button (without touch the screen).
And now, I press power on again to continue the installation but the device stop in the screen "tap the screen to set up your Pocket PC". The touchscreen is not workable. Can anybody help me to fix this stuff? I also need the Asian ROM to upload to my device, please help me.
Can you not just hard reset it again and do it at the first prompt next time?

Sorry everybody. I've fixed it. The problem is the screen protector which the seller applied in Singapore. I take it out and the screen is "touchable" now...

Recently my screen has not been working properly. On the CM10 Nightly I was using, the screen would not display the right image, and would be slightly fuzzy. Other times, the screen would not turn on but the soft buttons at the bottom of the screen would still be working.
The solution that came to my mind was to flash back to Android Revolution HD, which had worked perfectly for me in the past. The screen fuzziness has been fixed, but unfortunately the screen no longer turns on. My phone has decided to randomly work again, but later the screen will stop working again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys I recently made a thread about how my s3 screen cracked and how it was in the shop getting a replacement...well I got it back today and two things im concerned about and im going in to take it back tomoro. but in the meantime I was wondering if any of you can help me out.
the bottom end of the screen where the home button is, is not sealed shut, i can still partially lift the screen off leaving a small gap...So I was just wondering if any of you know if this is fixable.
and the touch is working on and off...sometimes im able to use it and sometimes it will randomly just stop working, the only way I get it back to working is if I press down the lock button, then I just unlock by swiping and everytrhing goes back to normal....but this can be really annoying, having to switch your phone to lock and unlock just to get the touching to work again .

I'm having a problem with my Arc regarding the touch screen, the bottom part of the screen, where usually the icons and slide bar to unlock are is not working, tapping or sliding on it doesn't work. I was using CM10 originally and I tried flashing a stock firmware to double check whether it is the ROM's problem, but now i'm stuck at the setup wizard because I cannot click on the next button.
I went through the whole wizard once by accident and went into the service test for touch screen, the bottom part of the screen totally cannot be detected at all.
Can I ask that if I need to get one of phone part replaced (because my warrantly ran out), which part should I replace?

Sry mate but i think it could be screen problem,the best thing you can do is to send it to service repair and see what they think of you're issue.I hope you'll get it fix cheep.Good luck

sometimes after using phone for days, touch screen dont respond correctly on some specific placed on screen.
for example if i hold down at one point on the screen screen is thinking i press also like 1cm down and jumps up and down.
i will wait to re-produce the problem and post a screen from touchscreen with debug menu *#0*#
happens at least 3 times for now with multiple firmware, since a restart always is the solution i think its a samsung related software problem in stock rom.
Did you apply any screen protectors? Its a common issue with cheap ones
No, i dont have any. Also the its not always at the same position.
