Does using Clear Storage delete my Call Timers? - P3600 ROM Development

Does anyone know if the Clear Storage will actually reset the total call timer? It says that its supposed to revert back to factory settings. But i'd like to be safer than sorry.
Thanks

i don't know about it for sure, but i did clear storage yesterday and i installed my trinity with the new rom and it did erase the call timers

By clear storage do you mean your sd card ?
If yes, it won't clear your call timer.
If you mean hard reset, then yes it will erase all datas. But you can do a pimbackup and you'll restore it again.

Really? I was told that Clear Storage is just a hard reset - which shouldn't affect the call time which is stored somewhere else in the eeprom....

You are right. the call timers never go zero, even after flash.
Maybe there is some special thing that can erase them

For completly reset the call timer's you have to install Olipro hard-spl 1.30 based on an MFG and have rtask commands enabled.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1188555&postcount=1
After that go to mtty and:
rtaskb
ate1
atv1
[email protected]=270f,270f
You have to see:
OK
retuoR
task8 (for reset the device, or press the reset button)
After that the call timer's in device information have to be at zero!
If you whant to reset it in the os to you have to delete all the keys in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\CumulativeCallTimers\Line_0
Thank's.

Hi Ausdim,
Do i have to do the whole lot or does that mean that if i only do the registry hack, and the timer will be zero?

If you do just the registry trick the the call timer's will be reset but only at the os.
It is like when you flash a new rom.
But in the device information the call timer's will be the same.
Thank's

ahhhhhh ic maybe my call timer is set back to 0 because i installed olipro 1.2.. or maybe u can do the registry.. but i don't know how...
cheers

If i do the whole lot will i loose my Network settings? (the handset is unlocked from the Network supplier)

Hard Reset?

Hi all...
My Blue Angel wont hard reset. I just bought it second hand and have been trying to hard reset it. I read up and the instructions are to keep the power button pressed while resetting with the stylus. But no matter how many times I tried, this procedure only soft resets the device. Please help!
Try it the software way by going to start>settings>system>clear storage>1234>ok.

Hi buddy.. thanks so much for the reply... but its not working.. tapping on the clear storage icon in settings does not bring up the password screen or do anything at all
wat are my other options people... pls help
anybody??????
i think you make wrong HardReset.
for Hard Reset a BA just press RECORD+CAMERA/PLAYER+SOFT RESET 2 sec. and walaahhh.... there you go.., You'll see three options on screen. You must change the second and the third to yes. If you are not developing/testing software you can disable the first debug option for better performance.
have a nice reset

Thank you soooo much Stevo... Ur method worked... I wonder why the wiki itself has the wrong method for hard reset... Maybe the hard reset varies from brand to brand... although it should not be since the hardware essentially is the same... Anyways... Hopefully one of the moderators would read this thread and add your method to the wiki...
Million thanks again...
I get that 3 choice screen, but how to I get it to hard-reset AFTER that? If I hit the soft-reset I get the same thing I have gotten for the whole day before. :-(
on the screen must be shown
enable kitl :choose no
clear registry hive : choose yes
format storage : choose yes
change it using the record and camera button.. after that use the mail button to proceed the hard reset

Procedure works as advertised
I also was scratching my head over the Hard Reset info in the Wiki not working. This procedure did the trick. Thanks for the help!
Also, for the poster who had trouble with the Mail button not initiating a reboot, just hold it until you get an all white screen, that's what I did and it worked like a charm!

Its sorted now anyway, i have the omnia
and if anyone wants to know how to hard reset then here ya go:
1. turn the phone off.
2. hold the power/call/end buttons for about 5 secs.
3. you will be asked if you want to format, this will only format the phone memory not 'my storage' or 'storage card'.
4. press the call button to format and hey presto working omnia again.

Question concerning the use of the tool "soft reset"

Hello,
a few days ago I recognised the implemented feature "Soft Reset Device". (In Joshkoss Rom etc...)
Does this Application can cause data loss?
Is it better to make a normal shutdown and then power on again in order to restart the device?
Please Help!

Only if the you havn't saved data program(s) you are using. It's the same as rebooting windows on your PC.

Dave
HI,
so if no data or program is opened I can just tick the button and the system gets no internal failure message or something like this, right?
I just want to be sure that I do not not crash the system while using soft reset.

Without looking the Soft Reset should just call the Windows API to Reset the Phone, so nothing will be lost / broken, etc.

Ok, thank you for your help!

No0bie needs some help......

Ok, first things first....
ROM version: 1.19.404.1 (51489) NLD
ROM Date: 06/22/09
Radioversion: 3.44.25.27
Protocolversion: 61.25t.25.19U
All stock except:
- Total Commander ( With Dutch .cab )
- G-Sensor list
Now 4 my question:
Could some1 post a screenshot of Total Commander in:
\\\registry\HKLM\
I ask this `coz i accidentally might have scr*wed up a name of a file, it is the file containing:
DEVICEMAP
OEM
The exact name of the map will do also!
If anyone needs more or other info to awnser my my question, please ask!
Thnx in advance
P.s.
I don`t know if this is in the right section......
Greetzsz from Holland
This should be in the general section.
The OEM folder is inside: HKLM\Software\
But also in HKLM\Hardware
DeviceMap is inside: HKLM\Hardware\
Those are the only two folders inside Hardware so I guess you mean that folder.
Attached a registry export of the hardware key.
Next time try to think of a better title for you post
Thnx for your help!
As 4 the title: srry i admit, it was the easy way out, but on my behalf: i was in a state of shock after i changed the name of the folder ( i did that accidentally )!
Greetzsz
P.s.
Keep up the good work!
No sweat... ...Hope it fixed things for you..
2 b honest i could not say if something was actually broken, but it is back as it should be!

How to reset call duration time on T-mobile touch pro 2 ?

Hi guys i want to reset my t-mobile touch pro 2 call duration time incoming/outgoing ( everything )can you guys help me how can i do it ? can we do it by phone registry ? can you guys please tell me how if i want do by phone registry ?
thank you
It's not possible..
i think the hardware actually keeps track of it not windows mobile. because even after you flash it still displays the same time as before you flashed
you might be able to do a hard reset with your sim card out of the phone. I did a hard reset earlier and all my timers reset to 0
