Shortcuts missing from Today menu - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

My shortscuts are missing from the Today Menu. I've tried enabling and disabling them from the O2 Custom Today Plug-in Settings but they still don't appear.
Only change I've made since putting on WM6 is x button v1.51
Short reboot does not seem to fix the problem.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

I've tried removing x button and the shortcuts still do not appear on the Today Screen?
Any other ideas? Does anyone have the cab file to reinstalled the O2 shortcut menu software?

Orange SPV M5000 - Want to remove the Orange Today Bar

Can anyone tell me how to get the today screen back to the normal windows pocket pc today screen. Orange has put that bar of theirs on the left side of the screen. I have tried a few things to overide it but then it comes back up on the screen. How can I remove it or disable it.....
I want to use some pocket pc programs for the today screen but this orange bar overides the program.
cheers

What have you tried to remove it?
Presumably it's not shown in Settings > Personal > Today?
And \windows\start up?
V
Correct it does not work to disable the Orange Shortcuts Symbols on the Home Screen. I have in the shortcuts Contacts, Phone, Messaging, Calendar, Camera Expert Mode, Orange World on the Shortcuts Bar. I want to completely deactivate or remove it from the HTC. The problem I find is that if you go in the settings menu for today you cannot remove it.
Also when I did a hard reset the first time the screen was like it shows in the Windows Pocket PC Manual with the today screen. Orange seems to have put the overide settings in the rom of the unit when you boot-up the unit to show their tool bar symbols on the today screen.
I would like a an suggestion or fix in getting this removed since if I uses as a example a pocket PC battery program I can have full use of the program on my today screen. Currently the Orange seeting overide these setting to there own.

Tried a hard reset again and went into the today settings. well this time it worked. I quess there was a lockup somwhere in the software. Question is in the items section what is the today timeout check box used for?

Not sure I understand you but if you want to get rid of the Homescreen as Orange calls it go to:
Settings -> Today -> Appearance
and choose the Windows Default theme.
That will give you the standard windows start page.
If you do a search on these forums you will find most of the answers you need, it saves opening new threads all the time.

Battery meter in taskbar problem

Hi there all, I have a problem which is a bit annoying, the battery meter in the taskbar always displays a full battery. Is there some sort of registry tweak i can do to get it back to normal.
I noticed it stopped working after installing HTC Home Customizer V0.8b by 'emunutz'
Under the options tab in the HTC Home Customizer there is an option to always display clock in the titlebar, since selecting this and then turning it off, my battery meter stopped working.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks!
un-install the htc customizer and soft reset, see if it goes back to normal
sometimes ive found 2 programs can conflict with each other and cause a glitch in the system
Hello, thanks for the reply, i done a fix around for it. I installed Batterystaus plugin for the homescreen and have the clock displayed in the taskbar.

Galarm and Gyrator problem

Hi!
I have installed both Gyrator 2 and Galarm 1.2.3 in my blackstone.
When the alarm rings both snooze actions when 'when device turned down' and 'when you shake the device' do not work.
I know that it is because of Gyrator.
Is there a fix on this?
g
Hi!
I think Version 1.03 of Galarm is working good with shake for closing program also with screen off
FYI. There's a new version - 1.2.4. But same problem, tilt sensor feature doesn't work.
I 've heard that this problem is solved if you differentiate some settings in the Gyrator application.
Anyone with a hint on this?
g
Hey guys, there's a new version GAlarm 1.4. The tilt sensor feature is working great!!

the new version seems working ok.
thank you

The last app I installed was Galarm. I did this last night.
Since then I have had a few problems with my HD.
1) twice since midnight last night I have used TF3D to access settings > communications, before loading the communications screen the device hangs, then I hear the default beep randomly and untill I perform a soft reset.
2) Soft key menus have been very buggy all through the OS. Most noticable in Opera, and Coreplayer. Taping the soft key menu results in just an outline being shown while the actual menu is transparent.
While installing Galarm it asked me if it could fix a known bug, I allowed it to. But am now wondering if this could have been the cause?
I'm not blaming Galarm per se, but it is the last piece of software that I installed. Has anyone else had similer problems?

Yes I get the same menu problems, if you press up or down then the menu choices appear but often vey corrupted. I stopped using Galarm for a couple of days and I never had the problem, I used it this mornning and my menus got corrupted again. At the same time I get my start menu appearing blank (transparent). I'm going to download another clock program and use it for a month then I'll switch to Galarm for a definitive test.

My Active Programs/Task Manger Icon is Missing!!

Hey everyone; So I was just going through and updating all of contacts, customizing settings, etc in my T-Mobile TP2, and when I went back to the home screen my task manager icon (which usually appears at the top right of the screen) was gone! I did multiple soft resets, to no avail; When I open a program the "x" button shows up so i can close it, but if I just want to minimize to the homescreen and switch to a different program (or close other programs running in the background) I'm unable to!
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know the fix???? This is a pretty crucial feature, otherwise I can never multi-task!
Thanks in advance.
Two more things that might help? 1. I'm using the stock T-Mobile US ROM, and 2. Is there somewhere I can go in the registry to turn it back on?
Either that, or maybe a custom bar along the top that will re-enable that icon?
Thanks.......
I figured it out... Going back through the settings again, I found that in Settings > Task Manager > "Button" tab, I had unchecked "Enable Quick Menu on Today screen", thinking that it was only an option that applied to the Windows Today screen that was just taking up background resources (since Im using the TouchFlo 3D interface)...
Sorry! Hope this can be used as a reference to anyone else having this problem, though!

Slide to unlock without pin

is it possible to enable the unlock slider without having the pin entry screen pop up afterwards?
to embelish on my issue I am using the latest offical HTC wm 6.5 rom and have tried to edith the registry but changing the reg key for autolock dosen't seem to have any effect. I also tried Advanced Config 3.3 but it's not showing the autolock preferance as an option under the screen heading. I am currently using a pin to keep the screen locked but i'd like a more snappy alternative
try going to settings\lock and uncheck the prompt if phone unused for...should take car of it!!
unfortunatley that setting simply takes away the slide to unlock screen completely. It seems to only appear when I have the pin code enabled :s
I tried to call the lock function when the power button's pressed but the button assignment section on my phone only shows one button for some reason..
Have found my solution for anyone else who had difficulty finding this on the forum heres the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=386451 works like a charm on 6.5
