Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my exchange server. I am using mail2webs free services for exchange mail on my phone. It is set up correctly, to get mail as items arrive, but it will only get mail when I soft reset my phone. Even if I hit sync, it does not sync. I am not getting any errors. What should I do to fix it? Thanks!
Can anyone help?? Im using CUSTEL Windows Pro 1.3 cingular edition. Please help, Thanks!
Is your GPRS connection set up correctly?? Also is it set to allow autoconnect??

Hi all, I'm hoping you guy's can help me. My friend and i both have MDA III's and can't send or recieve mms since upgrading to 1.40wwe rom & 1.13 radio(i-mate). T-mobile told him to do a hard reset and send an mms to himself. The problem is that activesync (3.7) syncs with outlook but wont let him add/remove any programs ie spb pocket plus 3,journal bar, games, etc. The add/remove program windows flashes on screen for a second then disappears. We uninstalled activesync 3.7 and reinstalled with AS 3.8 but same problem. Also, as soon as the phone starts syncing it starts to send an mms. Any help would be appreciated.
Has anyone been able to get direct push working on WM6? I am looking for a way to get email faster than every 15 mins. I cant use BB Connect because it does not support attachments (jpg, pdf, mp3). I need something that does.
Any suggestions?
Yeah, works great. Not much of an update from WM5 though, unless you're using Exchange 2007 (which I'm not).
Works fine for me also..
Yup working here as well from my Exchange - 2003 so no HTML mail over DP yet.
is there a link to download (I looked in the wiki)? Can someone send me the CAB.
Does it support all file types?
There's nothing to download as directpush is built in to wm5 roms (post AKU2) and WM6 roms.
BUT you either need to have an exchange server 2003 sp2 account (or exchange 2007 !) or you can rent one. There's free ones but they're not that great. If you want a really good hosted solution - try 4smartphone.com
I keep getting sync errors with this version. It allows me to set it up, but direct push does not work. I set it up for 5 minutes and it syncs fine. When I plug it into the laptop, it gives error messages that it cannot find the server, but it syncs. This is strange.
Works great for me as well ! Have no problems at all !
Have you tried Emoze

Direct Push not working in WM6 LVSW
Direct Push is not working for me either - WM6 LVSW Pro (Cingular) - Exchange 2003 sp2
All of my Exchange information syncs perfectly, then I get an error message:
"Your current sync schedule requires a cellular data connection. Please setup a cellular data connection as described in online Help or change the sync schedule."
Support Code: 0x85020013
The only way I can get emails while using "as items arrive" setting is to force send/receive. I have been using Direct Push on Exchange 2003 sp2 for almost a year with no problems, and there is no way I can go back to every 5 minutes.
I noticed some people are having the same problem on WMXL 2.0 Even using the Fit4cat solution mentioned in that post did not work.
I did setup My ISP settings using this Cingular CAB file . Could that have something to do with the problem?

I'm using the same CAB file and syncing with Exchange Sp2 and it works fine with WM6 LVSW...
@ DenaiL
After using that CAB, did you have to go in and manually enter username/password into the Cingular GPRS connection?
I still had to go in and enter this information.

Nope, it just worked...as is.
Hard Reset > Redownloaded and reinstalled the CAB from your sig. Now Direct Push is working. Thank you!
For some reason the first time I downloaded and installed the cab it did not setup my connection properly.
Now I can go to sleep.
Does this direc push use alot of data. I am on a 500mb monthly plan (crap i know) but HSDPA is so expensive in AU (telstra, nextg).

Depending on the network, directpush itself uses between 5 and 15mb a month - just for the heartbeat and occasional syncs. If you set your email to sync only first 5kb and no big attachments, you should be able to keep the actualy email traffic down.
I have Orange's unlimited (with a 1gb FUP) and use only 100 or so mb each month all in.

Messaging and Security Feature Pack
Question: I need to get the Messaging and Security Feature Pack
My understanding this can be integrated into the ROM. Is this correct? Any chance of getting this to work with WM6?
Push is working but encrypted mail does not synch and addon does not install with message Feature and Security Pack not installed. Any Ideas?
Thanks
Managed to upgrade my XDA Orbit to the original WM6 upgrade fine, was all running sweet. Had WLM set-up for my hotmail account. I wanted to use another hotmail for WLM so I decided to click on "Switch User"...... ehm now WLM is screwed. All my messenger contacts are gone from contacts, messenger will open but tries to sign in with no account?? It wont let me add another account, and I cannot set-up my hotmail for emails as it uses WLM to set it up. When I try to set it up for email, Windows Live just loads and never asks to set-up an account. I have tried reinstalling WLM but this just adds duplicate links and has the same issues?? LOL
Is there any way of "resetting" WLM (without having to hard reset my device?
Any help would be much appreciated
so I'm guessing nobody knows anything about this? Has anybody tired switching accounts to see if its just my software? Any response would be nice
Switching accounts works fine on mine. I am using the Touch-Flo ROM from on the site.
I really have no idea what the problem is here. I used to be able to send emails fine when I had WM 6.0 installed. I upgraded to 6.1 which automatically found imap settings for Yahoo Mail. This was working fine to send emails until recently.
Now I cannot seem to send emails at all but I can recieve them fine over imap. My phone (T-Mobile Vario II) doesn't seem to want to allow me to set up Yahoo Mail using the POP protocol; it automatically defaults to IMAP and gives me no option. I'm using Pays WM 6.1 ROM (build 3.05) if that makes any difference to anyone.
It's getting very frustrating not being able to send emails when I've just read an urgent one I've received!
Current settings are:
Incoming: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com (with authentication)
(No SSL on either server)
I don't seem to be able to find the port numbers.
Any help much appreciated!
thats the same settings i have and mine works, double check that the proxy is not enabled if you are using media net.
I had the same issue with CRC's rom. I'm lazy, so here is what I did:
1. Delete the account you created (imap).
2. Create a new account, but on the email field write something like [email protected] ...etc. (i.e. mispell yahoo)
3. Now it will ask you to setup the account manually, i.e. Internet mail, POP3, etc.
I use:
incoming -> pop.mail.yahoo.com:110
outgoing -> smtp.mail.yahoo.com:25 (Required SSL)
Hope this helps.
Many thanks dgaud007,
I hadn't thought of that and so obvious as well. Will be trying that immediately!
im having this same issue since goin to 6.1 on a Dash. Tried the yaho.com suggestion elow but it still won't always send.
Any ideas?

Win Mobile has always auto configured my Yahoo! account to IMAP (which I am pretty happy about anyway)... That said, I'm using a yahoo.co.uk account.. Don't know whether it applies to yahoo.com accounts..
I have tried using the Auto Configure and tried configuring it manually. Still cannot send about half of the time. Very weird because it always worked fine until I went to the 6.1 ROM.

From what I read in one of the Kaiser threads from incognito there was a brief mention of a bug in the 6.1 builds were about 1/2 of the time the logon authorization fails. It has happened to me even on the new 19213 version. I don't know how to fix it at this point (if it's something that can be done after the ROM is cooked). I'm using PAP authentication for now, and so far, haven't seen the issue again.
I'm still having this same issue. Anyone else? Any ideas on how to make Yahoo! outgoing email work with Kavana's 6.1 ROM?
bump message

How can I get IMAP working again?
I have recently installed Windows Mobile 6.5 on Kaiser. I was able to access yahoo mail for some time but now I can not both send and receive mails. I have also tried the method incoming -> pop.mail.yahoo.com:110
outgoing -> smtp.mail.yahoo.com:25 (Required SSL) and it is also not working. I have recently installed G-Profile and 3G Dialer may be they have caused the problem.
Hi guys,
I just signed up 2 days ago and am highly enjoying the site. I came across an issue with my HTC tilt 2 running WinMo6.5.
I set up an outlook account using exchange email settings, worked great. However now I want to remove it.
When I go to inbox>tools>options> and try to delete Outlook E-mail, delete is grayed.
I apologize if I posted this in the wrong spot, but does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
JC
Exchange accounts have to be deleted through Active Sync.
Hi
Would I delete this in activesync even if i didnt use activesync to create it?
Also I am running windows 7 and using Device Center, which I kno is pretty much the same, can I do it in there?
If yes, can you provide me the steps?
Thanks
open AS on your phone, highlight the Exchange Server account and hit delete.
HA sorry, it was so easy, I was thinking of ActiveSync on the PC.
Thank you
