Hi all, I'm hoping you guy's can help me. My friend and i both have MDA III's and can't send or recieve mms since upgrading to 1.40wwe rom & 1.13 radio(i-mate). T-mobile told him to do a hard reset and send an mms to himself. The problem is that activesync (3.7) syncs with outlook but wont let him add/remove any programs ie spb pocket plus 3,journal bar, games, etc. The add/remove program windows flashes on screen for a second then disappears. We uninstalled activesync 3.7 and reinstalled with AS 3.8 but same problem. Also, as soon as the phone starts syncing it starts to send an mms. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my exchange server. I am using mail2webs free services for exchange mail on my phone. It is set up correctly, to get mail as items arrive, but it will only get mail when I soft reset my phone. Even if I hit sync, it does not sync. I am not getting any errors. What should I do to fix it? Thanks!

Hi all,
having upgraded to the official O2 WM6 Rom, I have since been getting trouble with Activesync. The syncronisation is very slow and sometimes will not syncronise at all. I sometimes have to disconnect and reconnect to get the blue bar to move and complete syncronisation.
I am running XP sp2 on both home and work PCs and it is the same on both computers.
Anyone else noticed any problems synchronising with the WM6 Rom and Activesync 4.5?
I have searched the forum and also tried Microsoft knowledgebase but to no avail.

Same problem ive had here, but finaly it worked! No issues since.
I Have had the problem at 1st sync after the update. Then tried to sync 1st the contacts, then added calendar, files and so on. It appeared that my big calendar (400 appointments in total or so) made that activesync hung. I changed the setting from sync all appointments to just the next 2 weeks, and then activesync synced properly. After i added some more weeks, and at last i synced all apointments.
No problems since, also at first sync at work (2nd pc with activesync) this problem did not occur at all and i could sync all appointments (and contacts, files, and so on) at once.
Hope this helps for you 2!!!
Twiggerdingo, thanks, I may try that, but all appointments and contacts are now synchronised, it still takes ages though and sometimes stops, even when there is only one item to synchronise.
For last 2 days i have been unable to synchronize my hotmail inbox on the hermes 8525, i thought may be i corrupted some file and re-flashed Cingular wm6 rom. but th eproblem persists. after a long time it comes back with error " failed to synchronize Inbox. The server didn't respond "
can someone tell me whats happening . i can surf internet i am using the cingular wm6 . and i was able to synchronize my hotmail account before
i have the same thing as well, dont worry, its something with M$ servers!
same here
seems to be working today tho.
I helped my boss upgrade his 8525 to WM 6. I have the same phone with WM 6 ATT Version.
We have Outlook Exchange and are syncing over the air. Mine works perfectly, but on his it has stopped working multiple times. We sync...It shows Connecting/Sychronizing Folders/Looking for Changes/Email 1:1 (or :15, etc)/Processing, but there are no emails in his Inbox.
I've changed every setting I can find. When I change the email setting to 2 weeks from 1 it looks like it is downloading 1:85 emails etc, goes through exactly as my 8525 does, but his don't show up, it's completely empty.
He is syncing his email to Exchange and Syncing his contacts and calendar to PC.
The behavior is the exact same if he tries to sync using Edge, WiFi, or connected to his PC via USB.
I've deleted the account completely and re-set it up and same problem.
I did a hard reset and it worked initially, but 2 days later the same problem came back.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
ROM: 3.62.502.3
Radio 1.54.07.00
ATT 8525 WM 6 ATT ROM
I have a Dopod 838Pro and I have used a played with a number of different ROMS and have stuck with Schap's WM6 and am currently running:
Schap's 4.31
Radio: 1.54.30.10
The problem. For some reason which I can't tie down, the MMS settings continue to return to the default vpix.com/servlets..... settings. Being that I don't send or receive alot of MMS it's not a huge problem, but it's got me buggered why it does this.
I sync between two PC's, one XP with Active Sync 4.5.0 (which then uses Groupwise PDA connect to sync with Groupwise) then at home I have Vista with it's Mobile Centre syncing up with Outlook 2007.
For no good reason every now and again the Vista Machine decides it doesn't know about about the PDA anymore and decides it's a new device. Being that this is random, by the time I notice the PDA has lost all contacts and calendar. I'm not sure if this is before or after I put it into the dock, but I can confirm that it is before I confirm anything on the PC.
I know that if you delete a "profile" thing on the PDA it will loose all information associated (including the calendar and contacts etc), but I'm not doing that.
Again the rare use of MMS means I can't pin down the MMS settings change to the PDA loosing sync. The other strange thing is that if I change the settings in the "Default" MMS server settings, when they revert back to the vpix settings, I am sort of screwed, but if I create an "Optus" profile then set that as default, when the vpix thing happens it simply re-selects the default profile, the upside being I can just re-select the Optus one and away I go.
So does anyone understand my ramblings or has anyone had a similar problem? Is it Vista? Is it the ROM? Is it a dodgy piece of hardware? Any ideas are welcome.
