Yet another Mobile Device Error - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Sorry guys i have searched but havent found this problem before
sync cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the network and access information. Restart your dektop computer and sync again. if the problem persists, contact your network admin.
Well restarted comp and phone and nothing, worse thing is it is happening on 2 different computers same error msg, one vista is preloaded on my laptop the other downloaded, ive ttried downloadloading the app again and again even different sources,
anyone seen this and able to shed some light on the situation really need to sync.

I havenĀ“t heard of this problem before. One thing you can try is to remove the CHECK MARK in START > Settings > Connections > USB to PC and UNCHECK Enable advanced network function.

USB Sync stopped working?!?!?

Nothing has changed but all of a sudden a few days ago I cant get sync to my PC to work. I tried enabling and disabling the 'advanced network' portion in the USB Connection on the phone, but neither works. Also did a power cycle on PC and Phone, still no go.
Any ideas? Thanks
any ideas?
"I tried enabling and disabling the 'advanced network' portion in the USB Connection on the phone"
I was thinking to tell you that :\,it solved my problem before.
well, backup ur stuff and try a hard reset?
Im at a point where I could probably do this but will just suck if it happens again in a month or two. No one else out there has had similar issues not resolved by changing the USB mode?
Thanks all

sync problems

I can't sync my phone to my pc anymore. I had flashed ROM][** 3VOLUTION series **][WM6.5 STD 21234][Latest Build 3VO.1.20.061209 RC1] and all the patches. It was working well then It began to lock-up on me. When I reset it it would say "No Service". After several soft-resets it would either say "T-Mobile" and let me make calls or say "Phone off" and not allow me to turn the radio on. I'd have to reset it 5-6 times. So I went back to WM6 by fashing in bootloader since my pc would not sync with my phone in normal mode. I still can't sync. I've tried reinstalling Windows Mobile Device Center, restarting my pc. Please help
Solution
After alot of web-searching if found out my data cable was the cause. It was slightly bent causing a bad connection. I had a extra cable and now I sync with no issues. Tried it with 3 different ROMS on 2 Dashs'. Here is the post that made my Father's Day.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=229565

HTC Sync not installing on Vista PC

I wonder if anyone else on this forum has had any problems installing the HTC Sync software on their machine?
I recently received an HTC Desire from Orange, and have been trying for the past day to install the HTC Sync software that was preloaded on the memory card (v2.0.28), but I keep getting this error message:
Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action CA_DriversInstall, location: ... \MSIA198.tmp, comm..
I had a BlackBerry previously, and made sure to uninstall its associated software and re-start my machine, as I thought there might have been a software conflict causing this, but this hasn't made a difference.
Have looked on the web, and haven't been able to find a definitive resolution. One of the main reasons I wanted this phone was because I could sync it to Outlook running on my laptop, so the current situation is pretty frustrating!
The laptop itself is running Vista Business, SP2, in case that makes any difference.
Any help, gratefully received!!!
Had no probs installing HTC Sync on both my win7 PCs, but once I launched it, and found my phone in the app, it COULDN'T sync any Outlook contact and I DO NOT know why.
It gave me no errors, just the message "0 contacts synchronized" or something like that.
So even after dealing with the hurdle of getting the software installed, there could be further problems actually getting it working and syncing!?
Wonderful!
Well, spoke to HTC who told me that an updated version of HTC Sync is coming out next. I'm not convinced this is going to be any better, but we'll see.
In the mentime, does anyone know of a way to sync Outlook to the phone that doesn't have to use their software? My problem at the moment is that as soon as I select "HTC Sync" on the USB connection settings in the notification tray, the phone starts trying to find the HTC Sync software on my laptop (which of course it can't find).
Is there a workaround for this?
just a little hint: did you launch the installer with admin privileges (right mouse btn -> Run as Administrator)?
OK, managed to get this resolved, although it wasn't apparent what the problem was based on the error message.
It turned out to be caused by the USB driver for the device on my laptop not working properly. After going into the device manager and re-installing this driver, it all started magically working - application installed without any hitches, and it's now syncing away very happily.
If anyone needs these drivers, I'd be happy to PM them to you. Otherwise, a quick Google search will usually dig them up.
Would have assumed that this kind of fiddling around wouldn't be needed these days, but I pleased it's all sorted now.
Phew!

[Q] Problem while connecting windows marketplace via HD mini

Hi
I have acquired HTC HD mini recently. I upgraded its ROM to new version 1.36.720.X. But still I am not able to connect Windows Marketplace via my mobile. My GPRS connection is set correctly as I am able to connect Facebook and My Phone successfully. I am facing issue with Windows Live and Marketplace.
I always get error while trying to connect Market place that
"There may be a problem with the Marketservice now. Check your internet connection and try again later."
Can anybody provide me solution for this.
Registry value for HKLM\Systems\Versions\Aku is .5.3.3 (Which is due to latest OS version came with ROM) . Hence that earlier fix of changing value of Aku is not workable though I tried it.
I think that there are many unfortunates like me who have faced same problem.
Thanks in advance for help.
regards,
Pranit
Hi
It has been long time and I have received no answer. Please help me as I have been not able to use marketplace. I have tried all solution mentioned in forum but with no effect.
uninstall and redownload marketplace.worked for me.
This solution does not work. I didn't know how to uninstall Windows marketplace. Hence I installed and replaced downloaded version of marketplace app. Need a concrete solution. Just to mention, I am from india. I came across one more user of HD mini who is facing same issue.
I need helping hand here. Kindly somebody give me some solution. Is there any issue while accessing Marketplace from India?
Is your time date correct for your country.
I had the same problem i change the time to right time for my country and marketplace could connect.
I hope you understand my english.
Yes. I have synchronised time with internet. Still no effect. Assume that I have no idea about how to set the local time and guide me. I am really pissed off as my all efforts to connect Marketplace are failed.
go to settings 'time, date", and also check "country and text" just below the tab "time and date" I hope you understand this i have to translate from dutch
Hope this solve's your problem.
Then I have done it correctly. Still with no effect. I just wanted to confirm it. Everything seems just right.
i found this regarding your problem
Have you tried this deleting a reg key that sets the download location for Marketplace.
Can you please tell me where to find this entry in registry?
HKCU\Security\Software\Microsoft\Marketplace;Downl oadLocation
I found this on the forum of mobilitydigest.com.
Maybe you can find a solution for your problem there.
Just typ in Google marketplace bootstrap
tried. But still not working. I am stuck since I bought HD mini.Have tried number of options to connect marketplace and all met with failure. Can you think of other solution?
I have had this problem too. But simply killing the process in Task Manager, rebooting the device and retrying worked for me!
Please tell me which process is to be killed. I tried to locate process and kill it. If I am not wrong then in task manager there is no option to kill process but to kill application.

Kill application worked for me. But killing processes can be done in the Task Manager by clicking Menu => Display => Processes
Hi , I have tried all sort of options now. But I have met no success. Please, please provide me some solution. My HD mini is sort of useless if I am not able to access marketplace. I am not able to buy certain apps which I would like to.
This guy had the same problem as you.
I've had this problem for quite some time and I think I may have found a solution that I didn't really seem to find in many other places. I believe that Windows Marketplace Mobile requires an authenticated connection to connect (network associated GPRS such as AT&T, Edge, 3G, etc...). To connect to WinMo Market with a wifi, I believe also requires authentication. My own personal router is secured with WPA and AES encryption, which my phone can connect to. I had no problems with connecting to the internet via browser (for the most part) with Wifi or Edge. Problem is, for whatever reason, Windows Marketplace did not recognize that my Wifi was authenticated. After playing around for quite some time to figure out why, I stumbled on a program called Advanced Configuration Tool (I own an unlocked HTC HD2). Turns out, my stock ROM had WPA Authentication disabled (which explains why flashing to a new ROM work for people since that option is typically enabled by default). I guess somewhere along the long, my phone had disabled it, most likely by some action of my own. So after re-enabling it in the network settings of the program, I had no more problems connecting to Winmo Market. Additionally make sure that your wireless config on your phone enables IEEE 802.1x network access control (you can adjust this on the actual wireless network setting where you input your passwords). I'm sure there are ways to activate it through the registry, but Advanced Configuration Tool by Touchxperience developers made it easy (it's in the network settings menu).

Galaxy s3 not connecting to google/some apps when connected on WiFi

Hey guys, I've been searching for problems first before posting but I've yet to find a thread that actually fixes this specific problem. It's a little different than the other threads I've seen. Basically my phone can connect to my interwebs and I can browse webpages on dolphin browser but I can't connect to the play store. I've tried going to the play store on my desktop and trying to download apps to my phone that way but they never start downloading on my phone. I've tried resetting my router, multiple times yet it only worked once and hasn't worked any other trys after that. I've also tried dialing multiple " *# " numbers, some don't even connect and *#0011#* gave me an error about my connectiong and an invalid MMI. My router is secured through a WPA-key. Another thing that just recently started up was that snapchat would give me an error when I open it saying it has stopped working. Unrelated perhaps but maybe not.
I've been able to connect to other routers at other houses and my school, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I've noticed that when the wifi signal icon turns blue then everything will work. When it's grey, it's a complete toss up on whether it'll work or not.
I'm running Cyanogen Mod 10.2-20130925
I can't post pics because i'm too new... only created this to get a solution

If you did a factory reset when you upgraded to 10.2, then there isn't much you can do. If you have not done that, do it.

No, I haven't factory reseted it. I'm trying to avoid any factory resets to lose my information but right about now I'd try anything. Do you have an up to date guide on flashing ROMs and keeping my contacts?

Contacts are synced to your Google account. But you can export them from the contacts app just to be safe.
You can back up user app data with one of the billion back up apps on the market. Only user apps though, never system apps.
This way, you will only need to redo the system settings. Factory reset will make you lose 20-30 minutes if you're slow.
