Jasjar First Day, Upgraded And Now Dead ! Need Help Plz

Hi guys,
I tried to upgrade my jasjar with "JASJAR_WWE_19096_19505_11300_AKU_3_2_ship.exe" i download it from this forum, first i tried it and it said " error 101 communication problem" or something like that then i tried it again and it took a bit more time to give the same error but when i looked at my pda on the screen says : Serial V1.0 the PC doesnt recognize it.
Ive searched throw the forum few hours and ive tried reset+power+camera or light and it doesnt work, its my first day with it, i was so happy and now dead
Please i need your help

Second: You are on the BootLoader Mode. That is fine, don't worry. Relax and breathe easy.

Cktlcmd, thanks for your fast answer i was getting desesperated, ive downloaded few ROMS also the one you're telling me and i can only see nk.nbf not the radio or the extended rom only the windows mobile one, and the one i tried to upgrade was a .exe ..any other link i can download the rom ? doesnt matter if its the last one, now ill be happy if i could switch it on

That is fine, that's all you need, because technically, you already have the radio and Ext ROM installed on your device. Read the instructions FULLY on the 1st link. Since you don't have the ms.nbf and radio.nbf file, you are just upgarding the CE ROM. Therefore on the new folder that you are going to compile, you only need 9 files enumerated on the list (some are included on Helmi's File download).

Did you put your device on boot loader mode by pressing the RESET PIN, BACKLIGHT BUTTON, and POWER BUTTON all at once? If NO, do that first then double click or run the Ma_Upgrade file included.

Replace the Ma Upgrade file, I updated the file from the 1st link.

Have you tried replacing the Ma_Upgrade_No ID File? Download it again from the 1st link. Sometimes they become corrupted for no reason.

You are on the right track here. It must be the Ma_Upgrade file. You just need to reflash your device.

Ive downloaded the new maupgradeut_noid_602.exe but keeps on with the same 150 error ive tried it like 20 times already and it doesnt go

First objective is to get instead of SERIAL the "USB" message.
Please disable any firewall you have first ! Second reboot pc and change the USB port.

try installing the 4.5 beta.

Installed Active Sync 4.5 beta and it keeps without detecting the pda

Why do you have the number "602" behind the name???? Mine does not have it.
Does your PC make a sound at all when you plug your Universal?

cktlmd first thank for all your time and answers, when i plug the universal it just appears that it doesnt recognize the usb device that's it and the file ive got for the upgrader is MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe i download it again from the link you told me and it doesnt goes, i uninstall the active sync and it seems like nothing is connected when i double click the upgrader, it finishes with congrats but nothing has been done to the universal.

When you say you double click the upgrader, which do you mean, the "maupgrade no id" file or the "ROM UPgrade" File? You should be running the MaUpgrade File.
If this still does not work, try downloading the original ROM from the device manufacturer.

Or use a friends computer just so your Universal can be recognize.
Another thing, are you using a USB hub? If yes, then switch to a different USB plug. Your Universal needs to be connected directly to your computer and not a hub.

Stuck in Bootloader V1.00 TRIED EVERYTHING!

I m having big troubles with my Universal. I m stuck in the Bootloader screen. When I try I hard reset (pressing 2 softkeys and reset and than 0 he says 'clearing now' for only one second and than switches back to the bootloader screen! I ve tried to upgrade it with MAUpgrade_NOID.exe. He than upgrades I think my OS only but after this a hard reset doesn t help! I keep getting stuck in the bootloader screen! I ve also tried a hard reset without the SIM and SD card but this don t help either......
Now what.......

have you tried set 14 0

After completing the above please re-flash the Rom you wish to use.
When flashing Roms to your Uni, it is always best practice, to remove the SD Card and enter BootLoader mode before flashing.

Try the little tool attached. It's from the wiki.
Here's how to use:
1. disconnect USB cable from your device
2. disable USB connection in ActiveSync
3. reconnect USB cable
4. wait some 30 seconds
5. run the tool
6. If successful, device will boot itself.
Has worked for me every time.

Had this issue today. Couldn't flash any rom and was stuck on the bootloader screen. Try flashing a shipped rom for your phone. That helped me. After flashing original I was able to flash WM6 rom using ROMUpgradeUt.exe.

Try a diferent cable.
If you get when connecting for a second usb, than changed i to the serial, try a diferent cable - its normal miniusb.
Then go to wiki and download UNI_ExitBootloader.exe.
Maybe will work.
If yes give a masage.

Thanks man, that really helped. My qtek9000 got stick at the bootloader's screen and i couldnt perform an upgrade. I followed ur instructions and now it is upgrading. waiting for the results.

Completely stuck without any UBS communication
Hi everybody,
Since i tried (yesterday) to flash a new UNIVERSAL 2.12 WWE ROM, i 'm stuck in Bootloader. I had this bloody Country ID error and after that, the USB connection between my Universal and my PC went wrong and ... i tried all the solutions given here and there :
1/ an exitboolader.exe tool
2/ the mtty option
3/ tried to kill all the process linked to AS in a way or another
4/ made several Hard Reset - connection - changing cable and so on ...
The main problem is that Windows XP is not able to recognize my Universal anymore SO ... i can't even try the solutions above based on an exiting commication thru USB between my PC and my PPC ...
I only have : "Serial" and "V1.0" on my pocket PC
Any idea to establish an USD relation between the universal and my PC ?
Pls help ... i missed this bloody device ;-/

Cant flash, ERROR 246

First of all, hi, i was reading a lot from this forum, and i must say, im impressed. Nice job!
Anyhoo, im running WM 6.1 (Lite) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364031) on my HTC TyTn.
Now id like to flash it into, i dunno, the full version, or 6.5, or something else, but it wont.
I connect it through active sync(on my desktop pc), and i run 'Force Using Safe SSPL', i get the error : ERROR 246. The Update Utility cannot get response from your PDA Phone. Please check that your USB cradle/cable is connected properly between the PC and your PDA Phone. And also check your PDA Phone.
Click 'Exit' to quit.
I tried to run SPL-2.02/2.10/2.30 and then it goes into bootloader, and at 1% it says 'file corrupted'.
I tried those things on my laptop, too, but still the same problems.
Can anyone help me?

Install NetFrameworks from v1 to v3.5 make first your device is runing a functional rom.... or your rom... then perform the Hardspl v7 by olipro hardspl 2.10 and then try to upgrade some other... the fact here is.... how could you have 6.1 and now you are trying to make hardspl... oh bTW dont use SSPL please you gonna damage your device if it is not ready damaged.

Try this,
1. Make sure you have HSPL 2.10 or New Bootloader
2. Put Your device into bootloader mode (Until there a "SERIAL" in the bottom of ur device), connect it to PC (Now "SERIAL" change to "USB")
3. Run 838Pro_SEA_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712 (official ROM or U can RUN other official ROM can be found on www.htc.com ), don't click "AUTODETECT",
4. Checklist the option button of SPL-2.02/2.10/2.30 New Bootloader and Is it Hard-SPL?, after that just click next2 until flashing started
5. If it didnt work repeat step 1-3 and checklist the option button " Force Using Safe SSPL " then follow all flashing step
6. Run AT&T Strip, link: http://www.4shared.com/file/61372397/e2bf76c0/official_ATT_WM6_striped.html
7. Flash WM6.5 ROM you want
Hope its usefull cause I use this when my hermes couldnt load and every flashing it's stuck on 1%

HardSPL + MTTY, an almost bricked HTC Diamond!

Is there any way to upload the DIAMIMG.nbh file to Internal Storage? Or should I follow a different way to save my HTC Diamond?

my bootloader show not Diam300 64m but only 64M on the first position in 3color mode... plz help

Connect the Diamond and run the customruu.exe from your desktop, this should work.

how to connect if i used mtty... its clear everything what i have on device storage and in bootloader canot start stock or developed rom...
if i want start hard spl its say invalid model it....

The only thing to do now is to flash back a stock ROM or use a custom ROM with the RUU.

Actually I had uploaded the ROM to my internal storage, but during trying to bring my phone to bootloader mode, I formatted the internal storage...
Anyway, what I did now is, first I opened the USB Connection feature from ActiveSync, and then used CustomRUU.exe to Flash the ROM...
Everything is solved now...

bootloader is all you need to revive the phone
connect it to usb in bootloader mode and just install an oficial diamond rom from an windows xp pc.

Actually the most crucial part was to bringing phone to boot loader mode. And I think I managed that by pushing the Volume Down and Back (the arrow pointing left) buttons immediately after restarting my phone. And I had to do this after taking out the battery and putting it back after 5 sec.
When I pushed these buttons at the start up the phone tried to install the ROM from my internal storage, but as I explained I had deleted it by mistake. Therefore it could not find the ROM. I disconnected my phone from my PC and the screen started to say something like Retrying USB connection or waiting for USB connection, something like that.
I restarted my PC in Digitally Signed feature disabled by pressing F8 during start-up. Reconnected my phone to PC (the screen of the phone was still blinking as waiting or retrying usb connection). And voila the phone screen changed to boot loader mode...
The rest was easy. I opened the USB connection feature from ActiveSync and used CustomRUU.exe with a ROM to flash my phone...
That is all...

1. plug phone in to computer in bootloader
2. run customruu or stock from rom update on computer
3. wait for rom to flash to device
4.???
5.profit

but my booloader dont show model ID: DIAM300 64M what i had befor
and show me only: 64M
and any flash error with invalid model id, i canot flash, rom, stock rom, or hardspl...
understand me.. im not totaly noob... i used mtty X times... but now have this probles

every rom flash stopped at 1% cose model id error,
every hard spl falsh finished 100% but after flash when device restart write model id error...

Try another version of Hard-SPL, some people report that 1.40 not fully works.
I suggest you try 1.94 Olinex.

im not sure but i dont think one can brick his/her phone after hard spl, thats the reason of hard spl in the first place that u dont brick it. boot loader is always present

if you are using Windows XP try the following steps:
Connect your device to your PC
In Active Sync > connection settings > check Allow USB connections (which you have un-checked while doing MTTY)
Find a ROM with CustomRUU.exe / diamond wrapper
Now enter into bootloader mode(forget about the device ID)
Go to customRUU.exe and run it
Follow the ROM installation steps
This will help you installing your new ROM.
I had a similar problem and i resolved it by follwoing the above steps.

it is been 3 full days now that i am searching a solution for my XDA EXEC to be live again as i used PM - e-mails every thing and YES been through all the thread before posting this thread with no LUCK...
the problem is my UNI was working fine with TML 8.5... great until i tried to downgrade to TML 7. something ... in the middle the active sync suddenly diss-appeared and i had (serial on top of the screen and V1.00 on the Bottom)
ok now YES i have read that it will switch to USB on top when i will connect it to a PC running Win-XP and i will be able to use MTTY ...or update the ROM again after flashing the DOC... but yet again when i connect to my LAPTOP or PC there is nothing on the screen change .... MTTY never gives me the USB option to connect to my UNI's Boot Loader...
i tried each and every thing i read on this forum... but all in vain ... i am a blackberry user but heard some good features of UNI like Terminal window and more so just had the device .. but stuck.....
can anyone just let me know that is there any hope for me in this device or its just another paperweight now ...

Before you tried MTTY did you remove the sim and sd card? Sometimes that works to make the usb option to show.

yes i did removed the sim card and SD card from my UNI...
i think ppl are busy and even this thread is having 60 views but only 1 reply.....

tried already but my problem is my device is not switching from serial to USB whic it should be when i connect it to USB cable.......

seems USB connetor on your device is damaged, why you don't try to flash rom via SD/MMC ?? if you interest to try proper follow Guide by tomal at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393370&highlight=flash+sd+card

yeah hakim i downloaded the tool and followed the instructions but my xda is still in boot loader mood and not even loading from sd i mean not even looking in to the sd card i have tried 3 different cards 128/512/64 mb 2 mmc and 1 sd ... but result in same ...
i more thing i before this happen i used the active sync and was working fine ..i took the device to a repair shop he said the hardware boot loader is to be repaired and will be charged 3000 PKR for that...
any suggestion

nothing as yet .. i tried with the tool you posted in your previous post but still the same result the device is not even looking in to the SD card and just getting all the way to the boot loader with "serial on top and V1.0 at the bottom.
is there any hope...?????

Try to flash it with some original WM5 ROM (search for shipped WM5 roms) via SD card method

tried to search for WM5 for XDA with No Luck as only for ATOM is available .....

still no luck i tried to exit boot loader but failed with an error saying no USB device found please reconnect...
hakim can you please be specific that if i get my usb post repaired will it be detected by my system?
is there any boot repair in hardware?

yes my pc was having and antivirus and firewall and i disabled both before connecting the device and got the same message that the device was not recognized .....
