HELLO PEOLPLE:
I have just done a very big error with my pda. I wanted just only to reinstallthe same rom to format it and in the beguining of the process my pda stpos and also my computer.
Now my pda is whitout operative sistem and i can't conect it whit activesinc bacause the computer don't recognocise my pda.
WHAT CAN I DO NOW???
PLEASE, COULD SOMEONE HELP ME????

I'm new here, and maybe I have a similar problem as Robertoko69 with my xda mini, I can't do anything, and it doesn't recognize the memory card, could somebody please, please, help? I whas triying to make work the bluetooth... and I have just buyed it today!!

hi all ! im very new in this domain ! first here is what i DID : i have this XDA with ver 1.6x (something like that) and i wanted to upgrade to the new version from www.microsoft.com/etc etc...! so i dld it and started to write the new version.The program deleted my old version of windows and started to write the new ver after doing all the checks.But my laptop suddenly got into stand by when the program was writing the new soft at 7%.He said i should unplug then reset and re plug the poket pc! i reset it with my stilus and try to reconnect but now my setup program for upgrading doesn't FIND my XDA II at all....he tells me to connect the poket pc to cable.When the device want's to start i get the screen with O2 and the version down in the right corner but it wont get passt that...that is why probably the soft from my laptop says that i should connect the pda...my pda doesn't BOOT ! right ?...so...now my big question...is there a program that i can use to WRITE windows mobile to my XDA II ?..so that he don't checks the version...he just overwites all data so my xda will work again! hopefully somebody can help me...or maybe is there a program that can delete all from my xda so i can start to write the new version to it ! pls ..smb help me with that ...i need to fix this very quick..if not im a dead person..PS :i forgot to mention,,,..my PDA doesn't belong to me ..so this is why im dead..if i don't get soon a new ver of win to it !...i'll wait for your answer...! so the final question would be...where to find a TOOL that can WRITE my ROM without DETECTING (without active sync-cause this prg doesn't recognize anymore my XDA2) my PDA !...IF someone can help pls write me quick..you can also write me on yahoo: [email protected] ! thx alot guys
you get the upgrade files from www.my-xda.com not from microsoft....

i upgraded (and switched languages in the process) my girlfriend's iMate 2k2 ( a.k.a. XDA2/MDA2) by flashing with an upgrade from my cellular provider.
the first time, things went wrong and I saw USB and some weird junk on the screen.
panicking, i decide to try it again.
this time it erased everything, and crashed when it came to 15 percent of the writing part.
REALLY spooked, i tried it a third time, and sat in front of the laptop to prevent a screensaver or hard-drive-spindle-down from happening, and the upgrade went smoothly.
it was a boring 45 minutes, occasionally jiggling the mouse to keep the computer alive, but it worked.
so try and try again

Anyone have any idea how to remove the following message after I soft reboot? not located in startup so must be in registry...the command to want to start it must be in registry.... message is "connections.exe.....cannot find connections, etc..." thanks much!

No it is not on the SD card. Upon booting I get the error message and say ok and the ppc boots up....is there any registry location i can check that may have some reference to connections.exe...can't figurure out why it is trying to launch it. thanks

T Mobile MDA Compact does not open, need HELP!!!
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this board and I read nearly all threads about MDA. I bought my T Mobile MDA Compact 2 weeks ago from Germany. Yesterday while I was trying to change its language to English its locked. I installed Windows 2003 SE then device restarted but not open anymore. Now I can not open it. What should I do? I need immediate assistant, can anybody help me to make my MDA Compact working again?

i have copy getdevicedata on Secure Digital and i put sd in ppc. I open this file from ppc and it lock on boot loader. Now appear "serial" or "usb" if is connect on cradle. I try to reset, hard reset but anything is happened. Please help me, what can i do?

I've purchased O2 XDA Zinc in Arabian. I'm living in Russia now.
When I open the box, get the PDA and turn them on I've got screen like this:
mars II eboot ver......
h/w version v1.4
******** usb loader ***********
diskonchip g4 128mb
start downloading image...
please plug-in usb cable...
And that's all... Now I can't go to Arabian to change my PDA and there is no service center that can fix it in Russia
I tried soft and hard reset and no effect.
When I connect PDA to PC the new hardware "Asus USB sync" appear in system, but Active Sync does not recognise them (I have 4.5 version).
All o2 zinc upgrade software are working with active sync and available os and i can't use them.
I've extracted binary filles from update exe, larger of it i've rename to MarsII_G4.ABI and put it on SD. But after insterting card and restarting nothing happens.
I also have some knowledge of elelectronic.
So, please help, how can I fix my PDA?

find another ppc first
find a dos app and rename it to devicespy.exe and make it readonly
transfer it to windows directory of other ppc and plug it to pc via mini usb and activesync 4.5
download and run any zinc rom from seeo2
if you did it well the upgrade software cant recognize the device type so continue update progres until your ppc get reset.
replace that ppc with your zinc and update will continue to end and your zinc will be fin.
choose any lang you wish.
You'd better visit www.seeO2.com
and register with your IMEI.
Then you can download WM5 or WM6 official rom.

it is suddenly dead wen connected to notebook via activesync.
yes.. it is SUDDENLY DEAD.
i'm doing nothing.
i have been trying to entering bootloader (by pressing right d-pad plus soft reset), but the bootloader doesn't show up.
doing hard reset, but nothing happen. still dead.
one thing that works is...
there is blinking orange LED when i connected zinc with wall charger (without battery inserted)
and there is orange LED (showing up about 3-5 secs) when i connected zinc with wall charger (with battery inserted)
anyone can help me solving this?

I connect my qtek with pc. I tried to install wwe rom - from german to english. I ws downloaded english rom but cant install coz i have problem with COUNTRY ERROR -ERROR 120 atfer that i install in qtek "MaUpgradeUt_noID".exe and after that my qtek go to hell.
when i done hard reset on the screen write only: Serial and v1.00!!!!
..............qtek is dead...................

Try to download "Exit Bootloader.exe" from wiki, conect the uni to USB and Run the applcation...
If you uni is death when the Bootloader is lost. I brick my Jasjar when the Bootloader was gone, dont worry Try to read more in the forum Universal WM6.

My Problem is, that i can only choose Com 1 to Com 3 in mtty 1.42 - Because of this i can't use the methode which is explained. - What i am making wrong? - I use a Sony Vaio Laptop for booting...

if you have the rom try tis out!
1.unzip the file!
2.put the rom-extended rom-radio(or whatever you need!) in this folder
3.when you'll connect the phone on the usb,on the screen you have to see "usb v1.01".
4.run the "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe"
5.wait till it will finish flashing!!
6.enjoy the new rom!!

please big help / i just try to change language on my qtek 9000 and when the phone finish. and the screen freeze. and i off it and on it .and still the display show but freezing. and it can't connect to the active sync and pc /please help
Try a soft-reset first.
If not, you may have to hard-reset. You will lose all your data and programs you've installed and it will revert to factory state (or last flashed ROM).
