XDA2S Pocket PC Application CD.

I am a new XDA 2S owner and have a slight problem. The Cd that came with my phone that installs Fonix_voice dial , Zip, True Fax and SPB GRS Monitor on the users pc appears to be blank. There are no files on it. I had no problem installing the main Disc which has active sync etc. Has anybody got a copy of this application CD or knows where I could obtain one please. Thanks in advance.

I am sure you could get a copy if you tell your supplier that the cd is blank, maybe they will lend you one that you can copy or swap the one you have, it is their duty to supply a full working package.

Thanks very much graham. Downloaded it from your link. unzipped it and when I tried to use the voice dial feature it had an error message. Now what? Youve probably gathered Im not that clever with a pc. Any help gratefully accepted with thanks in advance. should I do a reset on the XDA2s then try again?

what is error msg? - this might give some clues
does voicedial run at all?
u should not need to do a hard reset
a soft reset sometimes helps to get rid of data 'indigestion'
use activsync to install/remove the fonix apps u might try uninstalling the problem program and then reinstalling it again.

T mobile MDA Compact II unlock please!!!

Hi All!!
Would really appreciate some advice on how i go about unlocking my T-mobile MDA Compact II. Just had it back from repair, having purchased unlocked (also supplied unlocking files). Not sure if maybe software more up to date but software doesn't work now, neither does the link you have all kindly posted above! When running 'lokiwiz' batch file, lists error - transfer error.
My info is:
Rom Version 2.6.2.27WWE
Rom Date 3/9/06
Radio version 02.19.21
Protocol version 4.1.13.19
Extrom version 2.6.2.110
Please, please can anyone help me as without a phone!!! Thanks so much for your help.

Have you tried the whole process according to the instruction? I dont know that which Lokiwiz you are trying but my sister have bought the pink MDA compact II from t-mobile in october and I have successfully unlocked my device.
Try this one but please go point to point.

Unlock T-Mobile MDA Compact II
I am looking at the notepad file Lokiwiz03 and it says
"2 - Copy EnableRapi.cab to your Wizard"
Which wizard and where do I find it? (Sorry if I sound thick but have never done this before)

bill Copy EnableRapi.cab to your mda compact 2
then klick on it then start the bat file on your pc
after getting a dos windows on your pc
look for a code between the lines
copy the code and use it to unlock it
that is what i did to unlock my t-mobile mda compact 2

not working
i tried this so many times. every time i tapped on the enablerapi.cab file, my mda compact just removes it. what am i doing wrong?

Obviously it is gonna dissappear after the installation. Please follow the steps 1 by 1.
Suggestion 01
1 - Connect your device with ur PC and make sure activeSync recognise it.
2 - Unzip lokiwiz.zip to somewhere in your computer
3 - Copy EnableRapi.cab to your Wizard
4 - Execute the EnableRapi.cab in your phone. Wait for it to finish
5 - Execute lokiwiz.bat and follow the instructions on your screen...
Suggestion 02
For those of you having problems with lockiwiz 3a not unlocking your phone, well i was having the same problem, but not for long because i discoverd what i was doing wrong.
when you download lokiwiz 3a you have 2 things, lockiwiz and a folder called utils, now in the folder utils you will find a file called enablerapi its about 70kb in size, copy this to your MDA vario in the my documents folder, once there run it by tapping on it in my documents on your MDA saying Ok to everything, once youve done that, then and only then try running the lockiwiz application on your main pc making sure your connected via ActiveSync and look for the SIM unlock code in the black command promt box and jot this number down, then put SIM card in thats different from the one you use and switch on, when asked for the unlock code just type in the number you have written down earlier.

it did not work on my mda compact. i tried both suggestions 1 and 2. but i didn't get any unlock code when i ran lokiwiz. i will give it another try one of these days. maybe i need to remove my tmobile simcard first? anyway.... thanks a lot. and happy new year.

Well I have downloaded the whole solution from this same forum and applied on my sister's Mda and it did work.

Copy and paste the output from the unlocking program here. Anyway, if it doesn't give you a code, probably your phone is already unlocked.

QTek s110 is a Magician and NOT a Charmer. Try the Magician section and wiki. You are lucky that you are not flashing your phone or else you may have got yourself an expensive brick.

After many tries and misses... I tryed everything but can't unlock my charmer with IPL 3.x... BUT THIS METHOD WORKS PERFECTLY !!!!!! In 5 minutes charmer was unlocked! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Application Unlock for Orbit ??

I've tried the search facility but without much luck. I want to be able to download games to my orbit but the first 1 I tried, (a simple .exe file), gave nothing more than an error message. I believe this is because of the application lock in WM5??
Is there anyone who can help solve this for the artemis ??????

Perhaps you have to start the exe at your PC?! Then the PC will put the PocketPC-Software via activesync to your PDA

i have copy getdevicedata on Secure Digital and i put sd in ppc. I open this file from ppc and it lock on boot loader. Now appear "serial" or "usb" if is connect on cradle. I try to reset, hard reset but anything is happened. Please help me, what can i do?

Error 270 fix

I'm running Vista and when I wanted to run the bootloader upgrade on my Dash I kept getting this message error. Error 260. anybody find any way around it? I've tried to manually set th ephone into bootloader mode, same result. help!! PS the error is supposed to mean "port already open" or "open port error" I'd really appreciate any help!

switches to my wife's laptop that had XP on and it worked like a charm. I'd be glad to assist anybody in the process od de-branding their Dash. Removing the ugly T-mobile paint logo on the unit was easy too.

OK, I've been on looking around the site for a while. I installed the WM6 Beta. I was looking for two days for the WM5 ROM only because I want the little things to work. Finally found it. But now every time I try to flash my phone ack to WM5 bI keep getting the 260 connection error. The readme only says to restart the comp and phone and try again. I have literally, no joke, done this 12 times in the last 2 hours, hoping maybe it will go. All the phone does is go to the green, blue, and red screen and stays there. Then the comp says it gets the error. I know it's connected because Sync Center syncs, I can look through the phone, install apps from my comp, etc. Also I tried doing the 'Update only' rom for version 1.11 or so, and it starts to go but then says its the wrong version RUU. Has anyone had this problem before? Flashing to WM6 did this once and then worked after.
I'm running Vista Premium, stock sync cable, Microsoft Sync Center for vista. All this is the sameas when I flashed to WM6.

There goes another 3 attempts, trying to change timing, reinstalling Sync Center, etc.

Decided to try it on my XP desktop, and for some reason, first time it worked. Maybe Vista didn't like it? Who knows..

WM5 to WM6 --> Problems at 3%

I've errors upgrading my phone to WM6.
I Can open the Wizard (it`s a generic to S620/S621), but in 3% i`ve an error.
I think thats my phone has a blocked CID.
How can i unlock this? i`ve tryed with tools to unlock, but without success...

Welcome to the forum.
Your problem is that your phone is CID-Locked. Hence, you'd need to use a paid service to unlock it. I personally used the following service which provides instant unlocking:

I used a credit card, it's 39.99 $ - I was done unlocking and upgrading to Windows Mobile 6 in about 15-20 minutes.

Steps to install WM6
- First CID/SIM Unlock using GSM Liberty
- Flash Bootloader
- Install WM6 ROM (It will take some time for it to load so give it about 5-10 mins. it does get stuck at the boot screen for sometime but eventually it'll load)
- Install Office/Audio Manager
- Application Unlock your phone using SDA Application Unlocker
- Install the necessary software/tweak/hacks

And in the site accept only 15 digits IMEI..
My imei is: 35*************02 (17 Digits IMEI)

hey,
that's not a problem. everyone has 17 digits, don't include the last 2 digits when you type in your IMEI so for example
11111111111111102
just include the first 15 and submit and you'll get an unlock link in your e-mail, follow that link, scroll down to the page to download dashunlock software and download the .UNL file for your IMEI and then make sure ur phone is connected to active sync and it's green, open the dash-unlock program and then hit enter then it'll ask for the .UNL file, locate it and open it and your good to go - your phone will be unlocked then soft reset it or i think it's automatic and everything's set.

p.s: in other words, don't include 02 when you type in your IMEI.

Read the second post from luckybandit on this thread. That´s exactly what to do to get rid of the "invalid model" issue. Download the bootloader, flash the phone, flash the new ROM and be patient.
My excalibur is also from South America, and worked OK. If you have any doubt just let it know to this thread.

I'm sorry about the links not working, here - i've attached the bootloader for you. here's what you do
1) Run bootloader (attached file)
2) Run the WM6 WWE ROM
3) Run SDA Application Unlock
4) Install Office/Microsoft Voice Command/HTC Audio Manager
5) Install Tweaks/Hacks

oh by the way, did you unlock your phone properly?
1) Download unlock software
2) Download .UNL file specifically for your IMEI
3) Connect phone to computer and make sure the activesync's icon has turned green
4) Run unlock software
5) When unlock software asks for .UNL file, browse for it, choose it
6) That's it ! It should say Unlocking done and it'll reboot
Your phone is now Sim & Cid Unlocked. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. just do what i said first then post.

Are you using Windows Xp? Cause I've gotten that error a couple of times too but it was in Vista. Try Xp if you're using Vista.

DONE with XP.... but now i`m affraid!! The "Green Screen" with nem OS apparently locked... this is normal? at least 3/4 minutos in the same screen.. both "patches" are applyed sucefully....
Is there anything else to do now?
