ERROR 120: COUNTRY ID ERROR during ROM upgarde on SPV M5000 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I attempted to update the ROM version on my Orange SPV M5000 and all was going well until it got to about 20% and then failed with the following error;
ERROR 120: COUNTRY ID ERROR
The ROM version that you are trying to use is not designed to work on your device. Please check the vendor Web site and download the correct ROM update.
The update I used was downloaded from the orange web site a couple of days ago M5000RUU.exe dated 25th August 2006.
I then reset the SPV and found the the phone no longer works and the device information is now blank for the Radio version and the Protocol version. My spv detail was as follows and still is with exception to the Radio and Protocol versions which are now blank.
operator version 7.113.1.130
rom version 1.13.49 WWE
rom date 09/20/05
radio version 1.03.00
protocol version 42.36.p8
extrom version 1.13.130 WWE
I’ve tried resetting the SPV back to factory defaults but the Radio and Protocol versions are still missing.
I've also tried to apply the update again but it fails with the same error immediatley.
Does anyone know how I can sort this, I’ve destroyed my SPV.

i think you need not give up. you can still try reflashing using bootloader mode. if this fails send it to a repair shop that have jaf-wm or dongle flashing equipment. good luck

Can't upgrade radio rom

I can upgrade everything BUT the radio ROM on my BlueAngel.
Anyone else ran into this? I've tried every radio ROM version I can find, but it fails every time giving an error dialog instructing to contact the vendor. After this, the entire unit is locked until I flash the ROM and ExtROM again. I really need to update the radio portion because I'm getting complaints about the well documented "echo" problem these units with older ROM versions are prone to. FYI, in case it matters, I've been using the unit with a Cingular SIM. HELP!!!!
Model: PH20B
ROM: 1.40.00 WWE
ExtROM:1.40.176
Radio ROM: 0.91.00 (Can't update this)

Radio rom working, but can't be upgraded

I am unable to upgrade radio ROM on my O2 XDA Exec (SIM-free).
When trying to upgrade radio rom from either the bootloader or OS itself, the upgrade process stops at 0% and after 2-3 minutes I get the “error 114: Radio rom update error”. Tried advices found in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296901 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296393&page=2, but to no avail.
I'd like to point out that my problem is slightly different because I have not able to upgrade radio ROM at all and the rom the device came with is still working.
Currently the device has Jwrightmcps's Crossbow ROM 2.02.00 (installed without the radio part and v1.01 bootloader. Radio ROM version 1.04.02.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

It is not a big problem. Try my folder below, there some tools and helps i have collected thru out the forum. it helps me all the time.
When you flashing with no id tool, some times it works after second attempt.
so try once, and after error try again strait away.
Other ways try WIKI http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Universal
Tried that I seem to have a version 1a radio brick at the moment
Even tried the HTC sim unlock radio version 0.0 update the same result
I think it maybe the radio bootloader has a problem and thats where I am now stuck.
HELP ANYONE?

Bluetooth Hardware error after upgrade

I followed the instructions on upgrading my Universal to Wm6.1 (Ranju's v7.7) which included downgrading the Radio version to 0.00.00. Upgrade went fine for the most part but Bluetooth isn't working now and when I try to turn it on or discover another device I get a "bluetooth hardware error" message.
My radio version still shows up as 0.00.00 as there was no radio.bkf file in Ranju's update (I'm assuming) so should I install a new radio-only ROM and if so which version and where to find? I did a few searches on the forum but ended up going round in circles! Should this solve the BT problem?
Also can I just install the new radio ROM "on top" of the WM6.1 upgrade or will I need to do it all over again?
Just to let everyone know, after much reflashing and rebooting of both OS and Radio, I finally managed to get it to work by stopping the Extended ROM installation adding on all the O2 crapola after the initial ROM install. Might be useful info for anyone else having this issue in the future ...
i dont understand what its the O2 caprola, what did you do exactly because i have the same problem after i upgrade to WM6
