Hi guys,
I stupidly upgraded my unlocked T-Mobile MDA Pro and now it does not boot. It gets stucked on operator splash screen. I have read lots of articles here and on buzzdev and it seems to me that there is a problem in bootloader. Is there any chance I can download bootloader ver. 0.56 somewhere?
Thanks
Shishko

Have you tried flashing it back to the OLD ROM or the PREVIOUS ROM you have used and worked on your unit? Try finding another link to download your NEW ROM, sometimes files get corrupted.
I tested with a lot of roms, imate, qtek, t-mob... but nothing works,... i will try to get an original rom and flash from SD card...
get connected :?
bad bad bad, not working...
i have the same problem i also, stuck at the splash screen. i have bootloader v1.01 i first unlocked my mda pro with the buzz programm after that i flashed wit the tmobile rom. and it got stuck i reflashed it wit my old qtek rom and it still freezes at the qtek screen.
I think the problem lies on your Boot Loader version. Most of the LATER released ROM is using Boot Loader version 1.00. So anyone who flashed their device with the latest T-Mobile ROM without removing the bl.nbf file got updated to version 1.01. Thus any ROM you try to use won't work.
Try flashing your devices back with Boot Loader version 1.0, then use the old ROMs.
Yes, i have the 1.01 bootloader...
How Can I downgrade to 1.00?
Thanks in advance¡
Some idea in downgrade bootloader?

You have to use the Ma_Upgrade_No_ID Tool and I made a short instructions on how to use it in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=42784&start=50
AND REMEMBER to put your device on Boot Loader Mode before double clicking the Ma_Upgrade_No_ID Tool.

yeah, i already did that, but what i wanted to say. it succefully downgraded the bootloader from v1.01 to v1.00. and it also succesully upgraded the Qtek WWE rom. but it is still stuck at the splash screen (the screen shows QTEK wit a sky background and it shows the R 1.09.00 G 42.42.P8 D1.30.77 WWE)

Hi,
I tried to upgrade andunlock my v 1640. at the end of the upgrade proccess I got error and after that I cannot open the device even in boot loader!
Is there any other key combination except power+light+reset that can help or it must be sent to Vodafone?
Hi,
are you sure the bootloader is not working? sometimes is hard to see...do you get any errors?
Universal upgrades shouldn't touch the bootloader so maybe there's some hope
Hi everyone,
A while ago I was stupid and tried to flash my O2 XDA Orbit without fully reading the instructions and therefore ended up "bricking" the device. It turns on but seems to hang on the "O2 Welcome Screen" which shows the following information:
IPL 1.25.0001
SPL 1.25.0000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.28.0.0
The device can boot up into the bootloader screen no problems and I have tried to install various ROM's from the German O2 WM6 ROM to the UK T-Mobile WM5 ROM but with no success, it just gets to 3% then reboots.
Does anyone know a way that I can restore the original O2 UK WM5 ROM from the bootloader? Or at least get it working again?
At this point there is no O2 Rom avaliable, you will have to wait till they finally release the WM6 Rom sometime this Summer.

Thank you however I have tried the above instructions but my device just gets to 3% then reboots.
Does anyone know what the MTTY.EXE software is all about and is there any way that I can manually force the device to Flash using this?
Or!!!!!
Is there a way for me to clone a mates xda orbit and drop the image onto mine? Both were purchased at the same time just I thought i'd be clever and update mine which didn't quite work out.
Have you already tried to flash a rom by using your microSD card ?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_SD_Card_Flashing
try to flash it from sd card if your orbit is cid unlocked
not sure
I dont think my device is cid unlocked as it would have worked with the updated rom install, wouldn't it? sorry pretty new to all this.
I have tried to flash straight from the sd card but it just searches through the sd card then goes straight to the multicoloured bootloader screen.
Anyother ways or is there a better rom that i could use?
Please help. When I bought my Diamond, the Bootloader displayed the "Security Unlocked" message, after I flashed Olinex 1.40 HardSpl, it dissapeard. Is my phone locked now? I tried to put back the same HardSpl that was before and nothing. Please Help.
Thanks.
Azreil.
if it already had a tricolor bootloader and sayed sc unlocked andd now sec unlock is gone its not that big problem as sec lock != sim lock or what ffor u need sec unlock ??
I was just asking becouse I didn`t know what happens when the Secure Unlock message is not displayed.
I think you have a "DEMO" diamond. That already comes security unlocked.
Some new blackstones do come security unlocked as they were the first versions.
Well I dont know if I am right or wrong.
How can I find out if it is a DEMO Diamond? The phone was bought from Vodafone and unlocked. Shouldn`t the IMEI be different from a regullar Diamond?
Can you explain a bit. I am really not understanding what you mean.
1 When you bought it did it say security unlocked on bootloader screen? did you buy it new from vodafone or you bought it from some where else?
2. what have you done so far with it?!
Sorry for confusion I am trying to help.
I bought the phone from a friend, and he bought it from a Vodafone shop. He got it locked and had the phone unlocked by a phone service, when i got it from him the bootloader displayed the "security unlocked" message and after I installed olinex 1.40 hardspl, I wanted an unsigned version and everyone recommended this one, the message was gone.
I guess then it was never really security unlocked, but the bootloader was just patched.

Download an official Shipped ROM meant for your Universal and flash it. It should then pass through the screen.

and that's the issue now, because active sync does do nothing now when the device is in boatloader mode.
IT UPGRADING NOW pfffffffffffff

Read Wiki!
Read Wiki.
Use mtty...DOC format.
Flash original WM5 ROM.
THEN
CID unlock with upgradeutility Noid.
You are free to do almost anything.
Again Read Wiki.
Read hdubli ...thread for stuck in bootloader.
Read Roms from Cotulla thread....it's helpful.
As long as you have intact bootloader , don't panic...it is not dead yet.
thanks for the advise, i find the wiki and solve the problem.
on my old xp pc and installed active sync, the device was direct upgraded
and the orginal rom is back to the latest version.
i find also the 6.5 rom but for now it works
