Version of the Protocol: 4.1.13.09
Version of the ExtRom: 2.21.4.104
I what I want to know and to see if somebody me can throw a good cable it is like I can update the ROM (the 2,18 Spanish) and that it does not say to me that if problem with so and problem with as.... since directly of exe that I lower of the FTP of xda developers to me to not it lets me update, and of the pagina of Xda, "http://xda.o2.co.uk/xdaMiniSoftwareDownload.aspx" is version in no Spanish. I tried following the suggestions from ewdb on the board but when I upgraded my 2020 it went from Rom 1.72.02 FRA to 1.66.02FRA and still in French. The web site had a choice of French upgrade or English upgrade and when I chose English the message I got was the wrong language. So I did the French upgrade and it took my 2020 back to Rom 1.66.02FRA. The files I downloaded are RUU166223WWE and RUU166219FRA. Are these the files to change the language from English to French? Thank you in advance.
yes, the WWE means World Wide English. By now you already know what means FRA.

After attempt to change 2020 to English using ewdb info:
My Qtek 2020 French changed after my attempt to change to English:

What I did wrong is I tried to use the French software RUU166219FRA to change my 2020 becasue I could not install the RUU166223WWE. During the install it gave me a language error message and I could not continue the install. At that point, I tried the French software and sent my Qtek 2020 backwards.
Some have suggested that I will need to change some hardware to change the language to English.

I've got the spanish rom XDA II, which has a bug that gives zillions of problems when using BT headsets. I want to upgrade to an english ROM, not necessarily the WM2003SE, simply my Windows 2003 edition, but english ROM.
This is what my XDAII has:

Error 120: country ID error
Grab a HEX editor, and write over "ENGLAND" to "GERMANY" (edited: or "ENG" to "GER") text in the beginning of the ROM image.
You will lose the warranty, of course...
Watch out for the checksum, it MUST not change!

I had the same problem. Here's how i solved it:
I installed this ROM
It was giving country error, so i used this tool to update instead of the one that came with the ROM: ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Tools/MaUpgradeUt_noID.zip
Hope it works for you...

I just got a new htc p3300 as a Present but unfortunately it is a French version and I do not understand any word in French. I will like to have either an English Rom or a German Rom. The PDA was bought from an electronic dealer and not from a mobile phone company so it is open and I can use any SIM card.
The necessary Information are as follows:
The version of the ROM: 1.14.406.1 FRE
Date of ROM: 9/27/06
Radio version: 02.67.90
Protocol version: 4.1.13.28
ROM extension version: 1.14.406.101
Please can someone direct me on how to flash it and have English or German ROM. I have read a lot of articles on various forums but the more I read the more I get confused and uncertain.
I appreciate all positive contributions as I am totally new in this forum and its just my first time of having a PDA.
Can someone save me from this dilemma.
