Modem type is Cellular Line GPRS
Next>
Access is mobile.o2.co.uk
Next>
Username is mobileweb
password is password
domain is blank

I recently updated my SX66 m to v1.4O. My SX66 is an ATT variant so I followed the instructions from Blue Angel. I am on the Cingular network and and am having difficulty connecting to the internet. I have checked the settings and everything appears to be correct. Does anyone have any ideas?
THanks
Copy this cab to the device and run it! Enjoy!

Does this just allow access to plain ol' vanilla MEdia Net, or does it allow access to the mMode homepage that AT&T used to have?
Um it says cingular. so um no Mmode at&t. If you want the gay Mmode change your home page.
There are two types of Access points for Cingular. If you have a "data plan" with them, usually for access to DUN or a dedicated data service like GoodLink, you want to use the ISP access point. If you're just trying to browse the web, and you have a pay per use or small intnernet, you use the WAP access point. If you don't have a plan for ISP it won't work - you should try WAP first. Here's the info:
Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections Icon > Manage existing connections under MEdia Net
Select the existing Access Point and click Edit
On the wizard, select Cellular Line (GPRS) for your modem
For the next few pages you specify either the WAP or ISP access point. *cAsE does matter, you need to specify usernames and passwords in all caps*:
"WAP" APN:
Access point name: wap.cingular
User: [email protected]
Pass: CINGULAR1
"ISP" APN:
Access point name: isp.cingular
User: [email protected]
Pass: CINGULAR1
That should do it. save your changes at the end of the wizard and try connecting to the internet. Questions: josh AT pinwheeltech [NOSPAM] dot com.
I can't get the GPRS on my (formerly O2) XDA 2s to work my new network Vodafone (Pay as You GO).
Has anyone managed this?
Any suggestions?
So far I tried the settings from http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
Half solved
I fiddled with it a bit more and got it to work. However it seems to lose connection "for an unnown reason" after 1-2 pages. I don't now why...
Vodafone seems to charge 13p per each page viewed on PAYG.
I thought I would put the settings here just in case someone else might need them.
In start - settings - Connectins Tab - Connections icon:
Enter name for connection: Vodafone GPRS
Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Access point name: pp.vodafone.co.uk (for pAY AS YOU GO)
Usename: web Password: web
Domain 212.183.137.012
In advanced menu:
TCP/IP: tick "Use server-assigned IP address" Untick the rest.
Servers: tick Use server-assigned addresses, leave rest blank
In start - settings - Connectins Tab - GPRS:
I didn't change anyting here:
Authentication: PAP
GPRS - Setting: Class 10 (3R2T)

I have O2 xda Orbit upgraded to WM6, I need to connect to wireless access point at school which requires a proxy server. I know the proxy address and port No and add them through settings/connections/connections. I connect to the access point OK and can even browse network using Network Browser but no internet. Had same problem with WM5, WM6 no better.

Hi.
BT Mobile uses the Vodafone network and that's what it displays on the homescreen.
Beware, the Vodafone settings wont allow you to SMS/MMS as you AREN'T a Voda customer.

has the settings or you could try

Haven't tried this but I think it sends the BT settings to your phone.
There is also 'BT Services' under the Start menu on mine, but that might have been added automatically once I set it up manually - worth a look though.
Hope it helps.
Thanks i will give it a try

Which settings are you missing?
I use Ricky's ROM v23 and BT Anywhere.
Adrian
Does it show BT for the network, cos mine is on Vodafone. Another thread say the BT use the Vodafone network. could you point in the direction of "Ricky's ROM v23 "
and i will give it a try. I have even put the original BT rom back in and found the network code for BT (23415) and with wm6.1 it still comes up with Vodafone.

hello i have a vonage account that i never use can the htc s 620 be configured to work [wi fi] using my vonage account this would be exelent since i have lost my bb anywhere by upgraging to 6.1
many thanks in advance
Since the s620 does not have 3g I have not considered internet dependent applications (ish). That being said it might be easier to get skype running instead.
