Qtek 9000 from french to english

Hi all,
I just bought the qtek 9000 but os is in french, i have the os in english but when i want to do this it says wrong rom. Could someone please guide me threw this problem.
Also if i'm able in the future to get it upgraded in english wont i have a problem with the azerty keyboard, cause english os is with qwerty keyboard no?????

Hello,
First, extact your new english rom, than repace files in new rom with files in my package. Put universal in bootloader mode, run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe wait... 30-40 minute and enjoy new rom

Thx for the reply but this is chinees for me. I am completly new at this. What do you mean with extract new boot and afer that replacing files with yours??? Extract from where and how?? also upgrade tool is showing picture from S100 and mine is 9000?? then how do you put your phone in bootloader mode??? and what about keyboard problem???? ( azerty/qwerty )

I know that You have country id problem, I will try to explain how to.
1 If you have upgrade file as XXXX.exe you will have to extract that file using win rar (just right klik on it and extract to your folder.
2. Unpack file from my package WM2005reinstall.rar
3. Replace file in the original unpacked rom with files from WM2005reinstall.rar (RUU.dll , Getdevicedata.exe ...
4. Run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe That file has no country specyfied so You can install Your rom (English). It is working in all MDA so don't worry about different picture.
Hope it wiil be clear if not - write ...

Ok got that. Finally but before i try this upgrade, what about keyboard. Will it be different?? (azerty/ Qwerty, do you know this...

If it is WWE rom (World Wide English) it will be qwerty

If other like German - qwertz

Here's your solution:
1. Get a registry editor. Here is a free one :
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=92
2. Look at the value in the following:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty
The DWORD should show what the FRENCH code is for in XXXXX format. Write this down.
3. Upgrade to the new english ROM
4. Install again the RegEditor
5. GO to same local key and the key will be 66589. Change this to the value of the french keyboard (value you got from step 2)

Help : IPAQ Dumping Rom and nbf vs nb0

Hello , I need to dump the rom of my hx2750 without risking to break up it .
I've seen there is a tool called grab_it .
I'm asking you if someone has already tried it on an ipaq hx2000 series .
Another question reguarding rom dumping : is it possible to dump it directly on my hard disk ? how could i do ?
And the last thing : I've read that the .nbf rom extension is not made to restore bricked ipaqs , but a .nb0 rom file exists for that .
The .nb0 seems to be obtained from the .nbf rom file , editing it with a hex editor , cutting off some bytes from the beginning of the rom . Anyone of you could explain me how many bytes must i remove to obtain a nb0 file from my ipaq's hx2750 nbf ? Also , if you know something general , please write it , I need as much information as possible reguarding my questions .

hmmm....from what I can see , the procedure reguards only cooking a rom already obtained ( from the device or the Hp site ) .
I need to grab my rom from my device , and to convert it into an .nbf or .nb0 file that can be used into an identical , but bricked , hx2750 .

Somewhere in the forum there is an application called testWM5, and this app extract the rom files from the device to a dump folder. Maybe this can help you.

Anyway , it creates automatically a rom image on the sd-card .
Once i've created it , what am I supposed to do ?
I would like to copy it in my Hard disk , and eventually to re-dump it in my ipaq .
But I don't how to do it .
I've heard also that .nb0files can be obtained from .nbf ones , but i don't know how many bytes remove for my ipaq hx2750

The link that I give you above contains a program that convert the nbf file, to a format that lets you edit the rom. The link contains istructions for cooking with imgfs tools. I found here before a cupple of days and a kitchen for hx4700, and I think that can ve used and for hx2000 series cause as i saw uses the imgfs and mamach tools.

Finally we have 4 files:
- Temp (contains the temporary files for your works)
- SYS (contains the logs of the builder(manufacturer))
- OEM (contains the logs of the operators phone)
- ROM (contains the BASIC BONE)
Check has this step of progress I can say that we find a multitude of thing, progs, the keys of the base of register, icones, DLL...

How to verify the integrity of Rom extracted to confirm or not my hypothesis?
How to relieve this Rom to obtain a base work (transfer the menu Lg and the other one superfluous!) the Seine and without bug (or almost).
How CID unlock the KS20? The dump can he help us?

is there anyway to change the ROM to English

No, he do it with applications availible from this forum. And this dump cant be used with that LG flashing aplication

Do any body knows where I can find how to dump KS20 ROM from my KS20 for Backup purpose? I wanna backup my Traditional Chinese ROM for backup and flash EN 10c ROM. Thanks all.

[Samsung SGH-i780] How to change page pool size?

hi guys.. I was wondering if anyone here knows how to change the page pool on Samsung i780. I'd like to change the default page pool in the recently discovered HK1 (Orange branded UK) ROM (preferably in the .NB0 file, I'd like to cook my custom ROM).
All the tutorials/tools seem of no use as they are mostly tailored @HTC phones Anyone pleeeease?

if you manage that can u put operator settings that rom .? and maybe also original samsung boot animations also.it could be great

hi to everyone,
i'm looking the best way to customize our 780 with pagepool and i have found two ways.
the first one is by using an editor to change the value string from 2 to 1 in 00001001 [\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies];
then i use the command
pdocread 0 0x4c40000 Part02.dump
but i receive the line error
CopyTFFSToFile(0x0, 0x4c40000, part02.dump)
ERROR: ITReadDisk : read 00000000 bytes - The connected device is not available
This error seems to be very frequently also in other forums
The second one is by using a file named 'Pagepool changer' but when i load the nb0 files this programs doesn't recognize the rom!
can someone give me help or support?

Missing a file in the Windows folder

Hello all,
In the WWE Rom I flashed recently, I missed the file eT9.Rhodium.040C.kmap.txt (which can customize the French hardware keyboard). This file is in the WIndows folder of most WWE Roms. Could someone please upload it or sent it to me ?

hello,
after installing last energy rom (thanks to him btw), it seems that it delete every non QWERTY "eT9.Rhodium.xxxx.kmap.txt" files
so i searched, found this thread and tried to delete the existing file and replace it with this one.
doesn't work..i'm unable to delete it
even if my reg key is set this way:
"07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.wwe.kmap.txt" to "07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.0409.kmap.txt
in order to be "sure" that it's not opened ..
so my question how/why can't i delete this file ? someone has a clue ?
edit : well i tried editing the file : no way it's read only...
now i'm clueless, how did u guy's achieve changing it ? editing the rom or something ?

anyone got an idea on this ?
