BlackBerry Connect Software - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

hi
I have an O2 XDA 2s which I recently upgraded.it has a blackberry connect software.
when i put my vodafone blackberry chip,i am unable to connect and use the service.
do i need to sync or do i need a desktop blackberry sync software.
I cant download anything software from o2 as i dont have an o2 number.
pls help
Cheers
Sudhir

the client is probably still registered for use on O2 so you need to contact vodafone, get them to get you registered for the BB service ie tarif, and internet mail account. once that is done your device should be able to register on the RIM network.
hope that helps

Blackberry Enterprise Server

Hi all,
I may soon have access to an Exchange / BES based email system.
I have an unlocked (UK) T-Mobile MDA3 that I'm currently using with my employers Vodafone SIM.
Will I just be able to configure the phone to connect directly to the BES box, or will I have to enable, and pay for, a service providers "Instant Email" service?
Cheers,
Q.
So, no one knows anything about BES.....?

Blackberry Connect and BlueAngel

Hi all,
i've a BB Enterprise server with Exchange Server.
I will test the BB Connect with my BA/WM2003.
Can someone help me in order to find the software client ?
Thanks in advance
It is installed with the 1.40 ROM, enable under settings item off main menu

Pocket MSN

Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer.
Background:
I originally bought a MDA Compact III (HTC P3300) from T-mobile. Downloaded, installed and registered Pocket MSN and am able to log into MSN messenger and retrieve Hotmail mail.
Got fed up with GPRS and decided to buy a P3600 (from HTC) mainly cos of 3G and WiFi. I have an unlimited data plan.
Problem:
I inserted my SIM card into the P3600 (downloaded and installled Pocket MSN - not registered as i have paid for it already) and now I'm unable to log into Pocket MSN.
I get the following error when trying to log into MSN Messenger or do a send/recieve from my Hotmail account.
"Temporary conditions currently prevent connecting to the Pocket MSN service"
and then get the following message:
"Logon to MSN Messenger Service failed because the service is not responding. Please try later."
But when I put the SIM card back into the MDA Compact III it all works fine.
Spoke to t-mobile and they say it must be a setting on the phone thats preventing me from logging in, and suggest that I speak to HTC.
Spoke to HTC and they say it must be a problem with my service provider
I'm inclined to believe t-mobile as it does work on the MDA Compact III.
I've tried other apps such as IM+ and recieve similiar connection error messages. But connecting over Wifi it all works fine
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
How are you logging in to pocket MSN? The only way I could log on to it was connecting to my laptop through activesync and using my cable internet connected to it.
are you connecting through GPRS/EDGE
you mention that you can connect through wifi but not directly (Iassume by GPRS/Edge/3g
if you've bought the handset sim free then you will need to add these settings into the handset. T-Mob would be able to supply you with these details to add in your connection settings and that should resolve the problem.

I think maybe what they are looking for is some software that supports a Remote Logon / Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).....
It's not something I have seen on a phone ROM since I had an SPV M500 with Smartphone 2003 Pocket PC Edition.....
.G.
the only way i have found to do that is via ftp. host the ftp on the server and run an ftp client on the phone. the phone doesnt support netbios or anything so you wont be able to access network drives or shares even if you are on the servers lan

it try to install WindowsLive.PocketPC_50_arm.cab but it don't work too
What can we do ?
Thx
just work on wifi
but not in 3G or GPRS
SFR uses a proxy? Disable it. Try setting up an internet connection just by APN.
I have the same issue with Vodafone. Just uncheck 'this connection uses a proxyserver'.
Be sure though, that there are not going to come more data-costs!
Here, the only disadvantage is that vodafone LIVE is not working without the proxy ... but ... whatever
hi, i've tried wifi and usb, it doesn't work. the problem is Windows Live can't be started. so i flashed the 1.93.456 WWE rom. it has a 10.6.0039 version of windows live, i tried it, works on usb.
but this rom doesn't have a AGPS settings (but we can enabled it by Advanced Config software), and has a QuickGPS.
i already try the 10.6.0039 version of windows live
it doesn't work
can't use my e-mail box on TF3d T-T
have you got the link for the 10.6.0040 version ?
thx
try on 10.6.0040 doesn't work
need help
Go to start>settings>connections>open connections>click on <set up my proxy server>and uncheck <This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet
Try it and let me know...

already flash with the euro rom 1.37... + Radio v1.00.25.05
SFR sucks when it's about Windows Live, this module is deleted from Windows mobile for EVERY PHONE they sell. Maybe because of the cooperation between Windows Live and Orange, maybe they just want you to pay more to get the service.
Wifi should work with messenger i think
I can share my two cents about that matter.
SFR deliberatly block the TCP ports used by the MSN protocol and also the SMTP and POP3 ports (and maybe others I'm not aware of) in the wapsfr gateway to force us to use their own applications. One java app to do MSN chat (available on the wap site for the phones recognized by the wap gateway) but each message sent is billed (I don't rmember how much).
The only way to use these apps via GPRS/UMTS network is to subscribe the SFR WEB option and connect using the "web SFR" network.
Yeah, you can't use msn with wap. What you can do is using their own application, messenger by sfr. I must admit It's just bull****, but it works.
Here it is (it's a java application ) :
http://rapidshare.com/files/133142085/mbysfr.jar
Btw, you can't zoom... put your glasses on
Either you have to suscribe to waeb sfr as tns said, and it'll cost you a lot
