I have an O2 XDA 2s which I recently upgraded.it has a blackberry connect software.

do i need to sync or do i need a desktop blackberry sync software.
I cant download anything software from o2 as i dont have an o2 number.
pls help

the client is probably still registered for use on O2 so you need to contact vodafone, get them to get you registered for the BB service ie tarif, and internet mail account. once that is done your device should be able to register on the RIM network.
hope that helps

PPPoE client for Windows Mobile 2003/PocketPC 2002
This post is a bit old, but I've been very suprised at the complete lack of information on PocketPC PPPoE support on the net...
In any case, there is a Japanese version of a PPPoE connector, but it only supports Windows Mobile 2003 and PocketPC 2002 (not WM5, unfortunately.)

Install via ActiveSync. Note: this is a Japanese application and I have no idea what it will look like on a phone without the proper language packs. If I had anything but my X01HT (HTC Hermes, WM5) I would test and send screenshots
I tried installing the WM2003 version on my Hermes, but it checks the OS version and aborts the install. My guess is that it probably -would- work on WM5, but... <sigh
Any coders willing to tackle this? NTT's "Flets Spot" service in Japan requires PPPoE to connect to a hotspot. Ridiculous, I know, but unavoidable. I've asked NTT as to when/if they'll make a WM5 version of this tool, but no replies yet.
best with router
I suggest You to buy a wi-fi router.
With it in my home I connect at same time 2 notebooks and the 9090.
Router has the ppp settings for connect to dsl without any PppoE protocol
Hello, Have a strange problem here.
Have a Siemens SX-66 that connects to our exchange server using mobile sync.
Somehow the user that has the device managed to nuke everthing on the server but has it all on the SX. I have not been able to sync it backwards even using the usb connection. It just doesn't seem to want to work.
One additional note is that the device is also running Trust Digital's PDA secure...
Suggestions anyone?
Thanks in advance.
Butch
Guys,
Just wondering if anyone has done any dev into this area ? I know MS disabled this capability in WM5 but just wanted to see if any genious tried hacking this to make it work.
Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

I've been syncronizing with my Exchange server at work for a month or so through Activesync and WM6.

I think maybe what they are looking for is some software that supports a Remote Logon / Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).....
It's not something I have seen on a phone ROM since I had an SPV M500 with Smartphone 2003 Pocket PC Edition.....

the only way i have found to do that is via ftp. host the ftp on the server and run an ftp client on the phone. the phone doesnt support netbios or anything so you wont be able to access network drives or shares even if you are on the servers lan
