Help, missing files on FTP, bootloader mode in need of Radio - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

UNIVERSAL - JASJAR - Radio Version 1.04.02.rar is missing from FTP.
In my attempt to revert back to the Qtek ROM, my device is stuck in bootloader mode.
It hangs at 0% and returns with an error when attempting to run the Radio Stack upgrade.
Tried the [CHECKCEID_TYPE], hard and soft reset, SD and SIM card out, etc. Cannot get out of bootloader.
Any ideas?

At the end of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=32060&start=25 francorg said that he uploaded the radio update here: http://www.megaupload.com/it/?d=7YF2JH2A
HTH,
Brett

Sweetness. Thanks.
Without SD or SIM cards installed, I performed the full JASJAR ROM upgrade, then without resetting the device, immediately performed the Radio-only upgrade from that megaupload.com link you gave me (thanks!).
So, now my Qtek 9000 is back to the JASJAR ROM with the 1.04.02 Radio.
I'm still at a loss as to which is the best ROM out there, but after this episode, you'll understand why I'm relunctant to try it again so eagerly...

File is temporiarly unavialable
The FTP link below states that file is not available. Does anyone have another FTP link to download the radio update?

UNIVERSAL - JASJAR - Radio Version 1.04.02.rar
i have the jasjar exe file. Now I need the UNIVERSAL - JASJAR - Radio Version 1.04.02.rar - the megaupload site is pants and certainly didn;t enable me to get a copy of the rar I was looking for.
When I say pants, I mean pants for me, I'm sure its useful to someone!

jasjar rar file
can someone give me a listing of the files which are supposed to be in the jasjar rar file.
I ask because the update program will not work due to a missing RUU.DLL file, but the .exe for jasjar will run, but will not connect when the mda is in bootloader mode!

country code error 120 : 1-3-1-1-1 just my experiences

today i tried to switch my xda2 from t-mobile's 1.72.170GER final rom back to o2's 1.72.184GER final which has been provided recently. i run into that damn country code error 120 because my xda2 has got a t-mobile device id. please find my steps for solving that problem:
1. unpacked the 1.72.184GER package into a folder and replaced the original HimaupgradeUt.exe by the hacked one (which is supposed to ignore country codes).
-> result: same problem - country code error 120 : 1-3-1-1-1
2. then i deleted the HimaGetDeviceData.exe in the folder containing the rom-files. and i deleted any existing DeviceData.txt in the windows folder of my xda2. time to start again the hacked HimaupgradeUt.exe.
-> result: first screen with no errors. it tells me that my device is going to get an update, from rom 1.72.01, radio 1.17.00, extrom 1.72.170 to rom 1.72.01, radio 1.17.00, extrom 1.72.184. i am happy so far but the next screen is again that damn county code error 120 message :-( meanwhile my device is stuck in bootloader 1.06 mode.
3. at this time i deleted the HimaClearJumpCode.exe (which is no longer needed for setting the xda2 in bootloader mode, it is already there) and started again the hacked HimaUpgradeUt.exe (the third time).
-> result: first screen with no errors. it tells me that my device is going to get an update, from rom "blank", radio "blank", extrom "blank" to rom 1.72.01, radio 1.17.00, extrom 1.72.184. next screen tells me that the devices rom is getting erased now and the progress bar shows the current status. everything went through the update process fine.
and my device has been successfully transformed from a t-mobile mda2 which looks like an xda2 to a real o2 xda2 with current xda2-software
summary: i guess you can shorten the whole procedure by setting the xda2 into bootloader mode connecting to your pc by usb unpack only the three rom file images into a folder, copy the hacked HimaUpgradeUt.exe into that folder and start it. but i have no time and motivation for doing that since my device works now.

any ideas :?:

Gday, me BA is dead, failed to upgrade..

I did not get the upgrade out of the PDA first, it is in bootloader mode.
By mistake, I picked up a XDA II upgrade instead of PDA III and clicked the sucker, only to get bummed completely. I guess it "deleted" the orig OS, or parts of it.
The BA is from o2, but private buy, no support expected from them.
The BA was in German, there is no "ID" for o2 given in the ID table.
I even tried T-kom's blackberry upgrade (German) gives same error as the 3 WWE SHIPS I tried, 120 "Country ID error"
Anyway to get the needed ROM info with the bootloader only ?
I would not mind the BA_5.1.1700_build_14343_Upgrade Engrish...
Somebody please help bring my new thang into life again
Hi Man,
Do not worry...Just upgrade the ext rom part of any ROM u have and it will be live again...then u can re-upgrade it completely
One problem I recognize I have: how to get DevData...
Thanks for the assuring words. But I have no idea what you mean with :"upgrade the ext rom part of any ROM u have and it will be live again."
I Assume the ext rom is a nbf file ?
I tried several of the ROM linked from this site (without modifiying them) no succes.
The nice guide made, explains how to get devdata on the PDA when working, but how to get that when bootloader mode is only option ? Or is that necessary? Are there ROM's that works anyway ??
The guide says:
"Device data reads:
PH20B 0 B GER R T-MOB101 1.12.00 0 0 1.12.100 1.02.00 02.00"
I do not have any of this info on my PDA Can it be retreived from the PC ?? (with a program)
I might also explain why I wanted to upgrade the ROM and didnt realize how "complicated" it can be. When trying to install a new appl. (Copilot) with a SD-card, the BA gave:
"setup-Fehler
Die datei "\storagecard\\2577\tts.cab ist keine gultige datei fur windows CE setup"
So, I thought the ROM version was ****ty not even knowing CAB files!
Any hints & help much appreciated
Rgds
Okeh..
Learned alot during the day on this site, it RAWKS!
I found the BA_TMUK_14200_112_11300_Ship (ENG)
& the MDAIII_TMDE_14201_116_11300_Ship (GER)
Using the "MaUpgradeUt_noID" I managed to get the GER running
Dropped the RADIO ROM of the GER to the ENG version and tried runnin the MaUpgradeUt_noID from that ROM. It worked!
The "standard" windows theme is NOT in the ENG pack, but in the GER one.
I then try run these Copilot cab files, still no luck ?!?
Tried some other CAB files snagged from the FTP, they worked...
I both tried the SD card install (autorun the cab) and from the install CD (to PC & device) both gives same error ? A little suspicious that none of the 2 install options work. Perhaps copilot is NOT compatible...

Cannot Downgrade to 2003SE - SX66
I own a SX66 Cingulair (USA) and I recently upgraded the ROM to WM5 but now having a lot of problems with it. I need to downgrade it back to 2003. I followed all the instructions in the link given in one of the posts above but the program MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe does not recognize my existing ROM or the new one and no update happens.
Can anyone help me please.

exactly the same here with SX66, but where did you get your ROM?
I also tried to apply SX66Upgrade.exe program which seems like WM2003SE installer, but this program says it cannot connect to device. I also was able to get nk.nbf from the temp folder and tried to run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe with this one, but it goes to the final screen without actually reflashing PDA. PDA still has WM5 installed.
I made a backup copy of my previous Win2003SE ROM to a SD card and restored it now from file back to SD card, but cannot find the way how to initiate ROM restore from SD card. I've read instructions saying: Insert SD card, put PDA into bootloader mode, select to restore from SD card, but in my case I just see "Serial 2.07" after going into bootloader mode and nothing else.
Found a way to Downgrade
Hi all:
After so much testing in frustration I moved the new ROM file to PH20B folder in the WM5_pack_V3 folder and ran the program BaUpgradeUt.exe. Now I know for SX66 which is a PH20B1 device we are supposed to use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe in PH20B1 folder according the the downgrade link (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Downgrade_WM5)
I got the ROM from (http://sx66-blueangel.home.comcast.net/) which is version 1.40 and I am very happy with it. Before upgrading to WM5 I have unlocked this device using the unlocker program some where on this forum and I am not sure whether it has anything to do with MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe not working.

Do I run it on my PC or Qtek?
Right now it wont start on the PC...
What you do is unpack the contents of the rom exe file into a directory, then you take your noid exe file and put in the same folder as the rom files, or the same folder of the normal loader file, and run the no id. This may vary depending on the layout of the contents in the big rom exe file, and yes you run the stuff on your pc, while having your Universal connected to the computer in Active Sync usb linked mode...
If you get the hassel of the country id after running it first time, quickly run it again and DUN touch the pda no matter what wierd setting it may be in, sometimes the first time only put the device into bootload mode, and then give an error message, but when run the second time itll flash the pda correctly hope this will help you.

I cant get it to work..
It just shows the screen thats supposed to show witch ROM i have, and witch one Im upgrading to.. but no data- Just blanks.
If i press "Upgrade" it finishes after 30 sec, and says "Congratiolations" and so one..
but nothing is happening on my qtek?
When you unpack the .EXE ROM files, there are 2 directories worth of files, you have to transfer all the files in these directories to one directory, then put the MAUpgradeUT_NOID in same directory then run from there.
Maybe MAUpgrade is all by it's lonesome self in that directory
Works!!
thanks everyone!!
Now:
How does this MIcrosoft directpush work? Cant seem to find any settings for it. But when i select "when new items arrive" i can see the symbol is highlighted in the commmanager.

Go to 4smartphone.com .... They have trial host exchange server push e-mail thingy so you can try it out. Everything is there at their site regarding push email setup
make sure all the files are in the same folder then, like this fx,
enterbl.exe
getdevicedata.exe
MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
ms_.nbf
nk.nbf
radio_.nbf
ruu.conf
ruu.dll
ui.dll
And try running the file then...
Btw i presume you are trying to upgrade to Universal_Upgrade_v1.30.68_radio_1.09.0
the extended rom gets to 1.30.153 WWE

how do I downgrade my 2750?

I have PDAVIET rom on my 2750 - version 5.2.00H on the boot rom.
I want to go back to the HP version of Windows 2003. So, I unpack the files from HP (SP29856 - fresh download from HP), perform a clean reset of the 2750 and start the "downgrade".
When it starts transferring the data, what I see on the Ipaq is a new window called FUU with "Hello World" right in the middle. The upgrade seems to proceed OK - but the system stays on WM6.
So, what is going on? Where is this FUU coming from and why isn't my Ipaq being put into boot mode?
Any help appreciated
I get exactly the same thing as Alan trying to downgrade my hx2795 using the same ROM (SP29856.exe) from HP. Yeah I know the ROM is for the 2750 but the hardware specs look very similar between the 2750 and the 2795 so I was hoping I could use the ROM to downgrade from WM5 to PPC2003.
The rompaq is for all versions of the HX2000 series so it is designed for us. Something else is going on which we don't understand. Anyone elso got any clues?

After the update did you perform a clean reset? Cause when I downgrade to wm5 from wm6 I mention that nothing seems to change(the device boots in wm6) until I perform a clean reset.
I have done many upgrades on both my 4700's and my 2750. Each time, whether it is using the HP method, or Chris's bootloader program, the Ipaq ends up in bootloader mode before the upgrade starts.
On this occasion, it didn't. I got a program called FUU starting up - and I could access the today screen etc while the flashing was apparently working (the HP utility was gayly counting up the percent numbers). At the end of it, Activesync happily reconnected to my old profile.
I did also try a hard reset - but that still came up with WM6 as the base O/S.
Since BOOTLOADER itself will not work either, I think the latest rom upgrade on there has screwed something up - not sure what, why or how.
Alan
Yep, what Alan said. The HP update utility apparently thought it was updating the device but the device was just showing the FUU "Hello World" window. And during the alleged update I can go to the Today screen and access my programs.
If I hadn't downloaded this directly from HP I would think this was a joke.
I am able to re-flash WM5.0 to my hx2795 using sp33752.exe downloaded from HP. Everything works as expected, the HP utility puts my 2795 into bootloader mode before flashing the device.
I cannot find sp33752 - can you give me a pointer?
Thanks
Alan
Hmm... I just tried searching for sp33752.exe on HP's support & drivers webpage and it found it. Otherwise try:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...x=sp33752.exe&pc=0&sc=1&nh=10&rf=0&lkc=1&lk=1
Any luck with downgrading to PPC2003?
Many thanks - I'll try that sometime today and see what happens.
Alan
downgrade
Hi,
I'm trying to do the same. From some searching around I found out that what you need to do is use the WWE-hx2000_PPC03_downgrade.exe program which comes with the WM2003 upgrade CD.
I don't have the cd, and I have problems with P2P (it's avail both on torrent and ed2k), so if you get that file, and it works for you it'd be wonderful if you can upload it to rapidshare or something and post a reply here.
Good luck and cheers
I tried that SP - get the error "Could not initialise the device".
My Ipaq is in the cradle and activesynced to my PC.
So, it looks like i am stuck with this WM6 version. Something about it has stopped any form of upgrade or downgrade.
Alan
So, next thing I tried is to copy the FUU.EXE file to the older SP directory and run that. But all that does is appear to download the nbf file, but the IPAQ hasn't gone into bootloader mode, so nothing happens.
I think what I am missing is why we need these files (RUUClientdriver.dll, FUU.EXE etc) and what changes in each of the OS upgrades to require a different version. Any one know these sorts of answers?
Alan
success!
I found the file (http://rapidshare.com/files/17084671/WWE-hx2000_PPC03_downgrade.exe) and succeeded to downgrade to 2003.
I had to reset to bootloader mode (contacts+itask buttons+reset -> connect to cradle -> calender button*) and then run the hpRUU.exe from extracted directory (c:\ipaq\hx2000) and it works like a charm.
hope it helps. g'luck
(* contacts - 2nd from left, itask - 4th, calendar - 1st.)
That seems to be doing something. I put it into bootloader mode and it's flashing. 66% through and the bar on the Ipaq agrees.
Success!
Worked for me too! Thank you spring777. Now I can run PPC2003, WM5 or WM6 on my hx2795. This is such an awesome forum.
