SD Card Intermittently disappears until Soft Reset?

Hi
In the last week or so my SD card has suddenly started disappearing until I soft reset the device. If I remove and reinsert a different card this also does not appear. The only way I have found to resolve the problem is to do a soft reset. It will then be visible for a day until it disappears again.
I haven't been able to narrow it down to a specific application or action.
Has anybody else seen this (or even better know what the problem may be?)

I have had the same problem i found it to be "Spb ToPlay" everytime i used it if i stopped it playing i lost all sound on my XdaIIs and the SD card went missing. removed the plug-in and havent had the problem since...........................do you have this plug-in? if you dont then i have no idea sorry i couldnt help.

I have recently installed spb time but it doesn't conincide with my problems starting. I may try disabling it to see if that makes a difference.

this has happened to me before, but i didnt have anything like you mentioned installed, so it must be a bug or something!!!

I found on my M1000 that the card will not be visible when the battery gets low, most times it gives a message like "the power is too low to support the device"

Happens to me with my O2 XDA IIs. When I contacted O2 about it, guess what their reply was?

What a load of crap!

active sync, cannot connect

Hi all,
My p3300 (dutch original t-mobile rom) wont connect anymore with any pc.
I`ve seen lots of threads about this and I still didnt find a answer that works.
* The phone does charge with the USB cable
* I`ve tried turnig off firewalls
* Cannot browse on the phone anymore
* Did install active sync again (4.1 and higher)
* Did severall soft resets
I cannot make a hard reset because I would lose my data and I don`t have a backup.
Is there a way to get certificates or someting to make it work again?

Does the hardware see anything at all? Does it try to initialise but then fail?
I'd copy my data onto SD card and then hard reset (you wont lose data on the SD card, only in main memory) - if it wont even browse over gprs or whatever, it sounds like the OS isn't working anymore

Have you tried to install active sync 4.5 from microsoft homepage. The newest Rom version need as 4.5!!! Then follow the asistant!

contacts restore help :(

My mda is dead my display flatcabel is broken...
now i got to recover my contacts that i have saved on my sd card.
any idea how to restore them on pc?

If you saved them on your SD card then just put the card into a card reader and copy them to your pc. Another thing, even though your display is dead, you may still be able to access the phone over activesync if it still boots.

I did already hard reset cause in first i meant that it was something wrong with software...
it destroyed all data on phone exept on sd card, i copied backup contacts file on pc but i dont have an idea how to open contacts on pc (is there somme kind of viewer or maybe virtual pocket pc for Xp)? i hear active sync signal when i connect Mda via usb but i dont see anything so i am not able to install anything or to do synchronization. And i still need my contacts...

I've read where you can open the file that had your contacts in it up in a hex editor and it will allow you to view your contacts. Other than that, I don't know of any program that will open it up normally though. If all you're needing to do is see them, then that method should be ok. If you need to do more with them though you may want to explain what program you backed them up with and see if anyone else has any ideas.
By the way, there are programs that allow you to view what you would see on your phone on your PC. If you're still getting a good sync then using one of them should work. Here's the link to one I've tried that works well. - http://www.mymobiler.com/

Kaiser doesnt start , dont want to hard reset it :(

I have rebooted my Kaiser this morning and it took a while, and than came a message that it cant boot...
The Software i installed before the last reboot was s2p and before that i installed and deinstalled vito sms chat...
Is there a way to fix it without the need of hard reset or can i download files via the bootloader?

there may be, but if you're still waiting, it would be quicker to hard reset.
try to get used to it if you haven't already. It only takes me a few minutes now to setup after a hard reset, I keep as much as possible on a memory card, never sync with my PC, use mortscript to auto setup my programs and settings, and keep a copy of all folders on the memory card to copy accross.

I hard reseted it and used the last backup had (18March) ^^
i copy nearly everthing on my card but after the backuo WM5torage doesnt work.... even after reinstalling if i connect it it show the volume but when i click on it it says there is nothing

Help! uninstalled TomTom now can't reboot

I've just tried to uninstall TomTom (v7.9) and the uninstall hung so I had to do a reset using the hard button. Now my TP2 hangs when trying to restart. It is showing the Today screen when it hangs, with PShield in the title bar.
There are two menu options at the bottom: Calendar and SPB Home, but I can't access either as the machine is locked.
Could anyone please advise?

I've now found that it will restart if I remove the SD card, but when I replace it I get the same problem. Does anyone have ideas for figuring out the problem?

I would suggest you backup anything you want to keep with a pc and card reader and format the card. Sounds like something is corrupted on it that WinMo is trying to access on startup.
