vibrate when call answered 1.40 - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

when i answer a call or call someone, the fone vibrates as soon as either i or the other person picks up, im on imate 1.40 rom, how can i stop this.

He he, must be kind of irritating
Have you tried to alter the settings in Sounds and notification->Notifications forth and back, otherwise a backup->hard reset->result might be in order, or even try to install another Rom just to get the outcome

If you use O2Plus there is a tick box in the phone profile which says "Vibrate upon reciept of call response". I turned it on initially as I thought "I don't need it to constantly vibrate" but all it does is vibrate in your ear!!!!
Hope this helps!

Cannot answer call

For some reason I can no longer answer an incoming call on my O2 Orbit (Artemis HTC3300)
The phone rings and pops up with call details. I hit green key or answer on screen and it just keeps ringing.
Has anyone else had this problem. The phone call is picked up by my service provider (O2) providing they leave a message. It is almost as if I have mistakenly set something to 'never answer'. The only thing I can think I changed was when I set to auto answer after 1 ring (when in the car) but I have reset this and unchecked it.
Help appreciated as it is useless as a phone now !
Thanks
Have you've tried to HARD-reset your phone, and tested it then?
Otherwise there might be an issue with your rom.
That's my 10 cents.
I have the same problem but not every time. 70% of the time a call comes in and I answer with either green hard button or screen button and the call just dies. I then end up with a missed call which I then have to return. My outgoing call usage has gone way up since I got this handset because I end up calling everyone back !
i have this same problem it will answer 70% of the time has anyone got any suggestions thanks
reflashing radio/updating radio may resolve this

problem with sms sound and vibrating

I have a Blueangel sold by vodafone, first when a new sms came, the sound and vibrating was ok, now it's only turns on the screen and thats it. Can anyone tell me what to do. I check all the settings but nothing. When a call cames it's warking everything ok. Thanks in advance
You got to check Settings>Sounds and Notifications >Notifications
yes I did
I did all of it, but like i said it wan't do anything, even when you check with the play button it dosent. I did some surfing around and I'll try this other program like alarm today. If you have any other suggestion, I'll be very happy to try

silence incoming call without rejecting..

is there a way to silence the incoming call (or any software) while the call is coming. I cannot even seem to use the jooger to lower the volume
which ROM are you using? depending on which it is, it should say "Silence" as the left softkey option, and once you hit that it will then say "Answer"
kavana's wm6.1 rom.
give it a few more hours, someone else may know of a trick, but all I can tell you now is to try another ROM, like Ricky's Rose, which does what you're asking it to.
Here's what i found via using the search http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...ghlight=silence+incoming+calls+kavana&page=27
that thread is tooo long and confusing. i change registry value--still it doesn't work
Please anyone help.
press down the A# button until the phone vibrates.....do the same to take it off silent/meeting mode
I'm using kavana's ROM, and I just triple-tap the JOGGR thing.
I found out by luck, I guess.

I tried it out, and it worked cherry. Thanks for that.
I was wanting the same thing because for the kavana 6.1 rom, there's only answer and ignore as the call option, and the joggr tap doesn't work if the phone is locked. However, I downloaded the call screen from the Rose rom, which I think looks better than the regular calling screen that comes with kavana and it gives that option as well as being able to hit 'send text' to ignore the call but also set up a text message that says that 'you're busy' for you to send. You can always just pick up the call by just pressing the talk key without having to silence the ringer first. I've found it to be quite efficient. Below is the thread that I found the link on. Hope it works for ya!

Hope it helped,
Mine did the same thing, the solution...turn it on silent and vibrate. I never did find a fix for it. You must be running kavana 6.1.

If useing an .mp3 for message tone then you will have to edit it as WM devices play the whole tone on message...
How do I do that stylez???

With an Audio Editor a good free one Audacity so what you want to do is cut the sound down to a more reasonable time
Thanks... ah, I forgot to say that I kept repeting the tone many times, for me to stop that I had to turn the phone off...
It is probably due to Notifications from the AutoKeylock program that is installed by default.
Go to
Start-> All Programs -> Tools -> Auto Keylock
and uncheck Notifications.
This is basically a way to remind you repeatedly of any missed calls/messages/etc. If you like the idea of being notified, you can press the right soft-key for Options, and select Notifiications to configure them as you want.
Hope this helps

[Q] Need help with ringer please

I have searched around and cant find an answer. the ringer on my pone is not working all the time. I keep getting missed calls while the pone is sitting next to me so I know its not sounding. I am on stock rooted. I do have advanced call blocker and alarm droid but have had them for a long time and never had a problem. I have frozen them to see if it helps but I dont get alot of calls and If I ask someone to call of course it wont do it. you know how that goes. I also have made sure the flip to silence is not checked and did toggle it to be sure. Would appreciate any input.
I will be sure to hit "thanks"

Try to go to settings, applications,,manage applications, all, settings, and clear data. That is going to force closed the settings apk maybe that fix your problem.

Last resort, perform a master reset.
Do you see a missed call message or just the VM? Are you using a default, built-in ringtone or something personalized?

I am actually using a custom ringtone. I have a "audio" folder that I use to replace the stock sounds. I never even thought of that but I dont see why it would work sometimes and not always. The text and every other notification sound works fine and always, its just the phone ringer that I am having problems with. I do see a missed call on the lock screen, and I checked to make sure I didnt have any blocking on any contacts. I have no special ringtone for any contacts, everything there is set to default. Do you think if I assign a special tone for certain contacts that would help? Ill give it a shot just to see. Thanks
i use ringdroid, and zedge
Try using rings extended, it lets you select any music file on your sd or phone as a ringtone
