I am trying to connect the Bluetooth headset and I get to the connection wizard and it does not show any devices to choose from other than the Treo. How do I make this work?
First, with the earflip closed, you need to push and hold the answer button until the blue light comes on steady. At this point, make sure that your phone is ready to discover, and then open the earflip. They will find each other and ask you for a passcode on the phone. Enter 0000 as the code, and that should finish you off.
Good luck!
Sam
Headset works!

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody can help me assigning a hardware button to turn flight mode on/off. I am using Vito Button Mapper program. I can assign a hard ware buton to turn the power on/off but still have to take out stylus to turn off the phone (a.k.a flight mode). Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
read this thread and get the EXE, then map your hardware button.

Thanks for your help. I just downloaded the cab file. I'll try it and let you know if it worked.
Thanks again.
Keep in mind that the difference between radio on-off & flightmode is that with flightmode ALL radio's (GSM, BT) are switched off
Radio on-off only toggles the GSM Radio.
This is handy when during switching off-on (ie when you use a dual SIM)you want to maintain ie your BT GPS connection.
Thanks again for explaining the function of radio on/off program. I did downloaded the program but for some reasons it did not work on iMate PDA2k. It also made the flight mode inoperable even with stylus. Once I uninstalled the program, now flight mode is working again with stylus. Oh well, I tried. But I do appreciate your help.
Thanks
It works on my PDA2k... you may want to try a reset after installing.

You are right. It did work after I reset the PPC. I guess I was too impatient. There is a very slight time lag after I push the button (althout less than a second) but I was not waiting long enough. Secondly, I noticed if I don't have any signal in a particular area, delay to turn off is even longer but I am so glad it works.
Thanks for your help.
Press and hold "end call" red button for 3 seconds.
bdarras: Thanks for your tip. I already tried that because it did work on MDA II but not on MDA III (or PDA2k).
you're right!
I just gor my xdaIIs yesterday, I didn't realize they had disabled it!
Hi
I have set my phone to be power off on 2 minutes.
So when I use my BT headset and it power offs in 2 mts I loose the connection to the headset and it returns 30 sec into a call which I am taking by using the phone.
Is there a work aorund or is there something I am doing wrong.

Bluetooth drains batteries like there is no tomorrow, keeping it on during standby is a judgment call. I think Bluetooth *should* shut-down; standby mode is standby: it's not off, but it isn't on either.
I'm running the 1.40 ROM with the latest Radio ROM, I forget the number, 1.13 isn't it? Bluetooth does not appear to turn off; my blue LED keeps flashing, and when I click the power button again the connection isn't even registered as lost or reconnected.
Stupid question: Are you sure it isn't your headset going into standby?
Chris
Do any one how to make the BA that running on WM5 to enable back speaker phone function :?: As same as the old one in the ordinary one?
do you mean while on a call???
if so, then while on call, press and hold the green answer call button, for about 5 seconds, sometimes i found that it wont work, but dont forget it is only a test rom, and not meant for public release, but do as i say, and see if it works..

I'm trying out a T-Mobile Dash as a replacement for my MDA, which did not survive a ride on the top of the car. Some things have me really confused:
1. Is there a way to get to the voicedial feature in less than 11 keypresses? Is there a way to put it on the quicklist? (The MDA had a button.)
2. After some period of time, selecting the voicedial feature through the start menu only returns me to the today screen. I have to power off and power on the device to get it to work again.
3. I have assigned a speed dial number to voicedial, so in theory one keypress could get me there. But it too returns me to the today screen; I'm guessing the problem here is whatever is going on with #2.
4. Is there a way to reorder the icons in the start menu so that things I use would be on the first page?
5. Is there a way for a bluetooth headset to call up the voicedial feature?
6. Is there a source of further documentation on some of the features of the phone, like voicedial, speeddial, the port on the bottom, and so on. The T-mobile manual on the disk is pretty thin.
7. The manual skips the power button and talks about taking the battery out to soft-reset the device. But it looks like the power button does a soft-reset. Do they do separate things?
8. Is there a trick to dialing with the number keys I am missing? Sometimes, dialing the numbers pulls up contacts based on the 2-abc, 3-def convention, and sometimes it pulls up contacts based on 2-e, 3-r, etc convention. I can't figure out how to control that.
9. In Messaging, I've set the device to download headers only. When I see a message I want to read, I can toggle the message to download the body "next time you connect and receive e-mail." However, this only seems to work if you connect and receive e-mail while the message is open (that is, one by one). I don't seem to be able to select several messages to be downloaded and do them all at once.
10. If you miss a call, you get a missed-call icon on the top line. How can you clear this icon?
There are some things about this device that are way better than the MDA, like the "Internet Sharing" way of using it as a modem for a laptop.
Yes. RTFM. For VoiceDial hold the home key.
Everything you took the time to type is pretty much covered in the 'thin' manual...

Thanks for the response. Actually, I can't find this in the T-Mobile manual, and it doesn't work on my phone.
more tips
i have been using the smt5600 and have found that the charging cables from boxwave seem to work fine. what i can't seem to find anywhere is an adaptor from the mini usb to a 3.5mm audio plug for connectiong to travel speakers?
I have the OnePlus 5t and recently I bought the redmi airdots (Bluetooth 5.0 earphones) and I have some troubles to pair them. Every time i connect to them I get a notification asking me to pair and connect (pairing request), when I press yes, a pop up message appear asking to pair and connect again, then a press yes and it connects normally. the thing is, I had another Bluetooth headset from xiaomi too and when i simply turn on the headset it automatically connects without prompting to pair and connect like the airdots.
my question is, can I get rid of this notification and pop up message asking to pair? I would like to simply turn on my earphones and it automatically connect to my phone without the need to every time confirm to pair (since the earphones already are paired).
I already cleared the cache in the bluetooth app and reset the phone, but still nothing.
I had the same issue as you and this method solved the problem:
Procedure: STEP_1. Put your Airdrops in the box, make sure that its charged. Delete airdots from your bluetooth device in your phone.
STEP_2. Take out both of your Airdrops from box
STEP_3. Turn off both of Airdrops by pressing and keeping the button on it for 5 seconds (until you see red light)
STEP_4. Perform 2 kinds of reset (reset of stored Bluetooth device and reset of connection between both Airdrops headphones) To make this reset, press and hold the button on both airdrops for 20seconds (headphone have to blink after 10seconds and 20seconds) don't release the buttons until you don't see second blinking.
STEP_5. Turn on your Airdrops by pressing and holding the button on both of it for 5seconds or put it in box and take it out. (when you take it out from box they will automatically turn on).
After done restart, on right headphone, you have to see blinking white light but on the left one, you have to see no light. It's mean that there is connection between headphones, and right headphone is waiting for connection with the phone.
