Do any one how to make the BA that running on WM5 to enable back speaker phone function :?: As same as the old one in the ordinary one?
do you mean while on a call???
if so, then while on call, press and hold the green answer call button, for about 5 seconds, sometimes i found that it wont work, but dont forget it is only a test rom, and not meant for public release, but do as i say, and see if it works..

I am wondering if blank button on the phone dialer of my Magician can be remapped to something like the loudspeaker (instead of 'Hold' which appears after a call connects) so that when i make a call I can switch directly to loudspeaker at the touch of a button?
Thanks
Rob
Rob,
I think it's generally thought that enabling the loudspeaker is a hardware limitation, not software. I'm not sure if it is, my VJPhoneShortcuts will do it on WM5, and I just got bored and never tried to find out how to do it on the Magician. However, for remapping the blank button, Mamaich has made a contacts dialler or something similar that can be mapped onto that button. It's an amazing program. If you can't find it on the board, shout out.

tnx 4 the feedback, yeah it's a good idea to use the button for speed dialling (if the speakerphone is not an option) and i found the link for that MaMaich thingy but it's dead http://mamaich.kasone.com/imate/cproghook.rar Couldn't find it anywhere else. if u have any hints plz tell
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know how to disconnect from 3g service on WM6 (Im on black 1.2 edition if that makes a difference ( I'd say it does ). On WM5 you only had to press the Hang-up button to d/c from 3g, and it doesnt seem to work here
It might be posted somewhere deep in the report issues threads, yet the search function did not find anything answering the question.
Thanks for the ideas

Easily connect/disconnect GPRS
Have a look here

yeah thanks for the reply, but thats not quite what im looking for
You see, im used to the red hang up button (hardware button) to dc from 3g service, and im really missing that i know that there are other ways to do that, yet that was so easy for me to press dc after an online session :/ so i thought the shortcut would remain in wm6
i use the red hangup button using lvsw's rom.
but you have to press and hold, for about 3 seconds, then it hangs up when you have let go, not while you are pressing it.
yep thats what im after
thanks, didnt have the patience to hold it for that long (especialy when in wm5 you only have to press it)

Hey all, I have Kavanas latest wm6.1 upgrade on my phone... For some reason my phone does not vibrate anymore, any way to fix this problem? Or is my phone jacked?
I'd bet it's a burned out vibrating motor. Check the Wiki, I think it has a link to figure out how to disassemble and motor's can be had for reasonable prices on eBay where people are usually selling broken Excalibur's just for parts.
That would suck... My phone is 2 weeks old...
same
same thing happened to me but if i go back to the tmo rom it works fine idk y

ok so if you press and hold the "A" key ( also called the # key) for about 3 seconds and the profile changes to vibrate, the phone doesnt vibrate indicating the profile change?

No, my phone does not vibrate at all, i tried putting it on the vibrate profile, tried setting my text messages as a vibrate alert... nothing, no vibration at all...

what i mean was if you hold down the #(A) key it will put it into the vibrate profile and the phone will actually vibrate at the same time. which is different from when you manually pick the vibrate profile. i was wondering if you had done this yet. im not saying it will fix your problem, more of a confirmation that your vibrate hardware is fubared or not. so take your phone out of the vibrate profile, then press and hold your "#"(A) key until you see the vibrate icon at the top of your iconbar....see if it vibrates.... if it doesn't your, vibrate hardware is toast.
I guess my phone is toasted huh? I tried, it switched to vibrate... but no vibration... gah, whatevs...
my only suggestion for a last ditch effort would be to either/ and hard reset your phone/Reload the official WM6 ROM from your mobile provider.
If re-loading your stock official ROM seems to make it work again, it's up to you if you want to re-try kavana or rick's WM 6.1 ROM. If you do and it stops again, you may just end up being stuck with the Standard RO mon your phone or if the phone's new, you can complain to your mobile provider and have then replace it for you. (just make sure the official ROM is reloaded on it b-4 you send your in)
That happened to me as well. Turned out it was the vibrator motor that was slightly disconnected (probably due to a fall). Took about 5 minutes to get it working again. It's just a matter of opening the back plastic. With the right set of tools, you'll have it done and diagnoses in no time. Even if you need to get a new vibrator motor, it's pretty cheap. Just Google it around.
When I swapped from the iPhone to android, I really missed the button on the top of the phone to end calls. It was very convenient, I think.
I was therefore delighted to see that the desire had a button on top that I upgraded from my hero immediately (amongst other reasons of course!)
Problem is, when you press it while in a call, it just turns the screen off. Does anyone know if someone has developed a hack to end the call with the power button?

Download and flash the Defrost 0.9 ROM from richardtrip. In Accesibility in settings, you can then enable the end the call from power button
While froyo is cool, I'd prefer to do this in my current sense Rom.

Strange that it doesn't work when in-call. I know it (the power button) disconnects/hangs-up a call whilst ringing, because I often accidentally press it whilst pulling it out of my belt case and it hangs-up the incoming call. Grrrrrr
Hey all,
In my app, I want to make a app for a pocket PC WM6 which do that:
I call from a phone. The app in PPC will hang up. When I press some keys on my phone. The app will know which key I pressed.
My idea same a call to switchboard. Switchboard will auto-response my call by a guide voice: "for ... press 1, for ... press 2...". The switchboard will do certain job according to my choice (press a certain key).
How I the app on PPC can detect the pressed keys during a call?
Thanks a lot!
Nobody can help me?
Hey,
Sorry, but I don't fully understand what you are trying to do? [Your english (or punctuation at least) is a bit choppy).
As far as sending Key presses during a phone-call, you can use RIL for that (Radio Interface Layer). First you initialize RIL and get the notification of a call going on, and if there is a call going on, then you use the RIL_SendAKey() function.
Look up info on RIL (C++). That should get you where you want to be
Hope this helped,
CycloneZephyrXZ7
Thank Cyclonezephyrxz7.
Sorry because my English is really bad. I have never heard RIL but I will check RIL.
In my case, I have a phone and a PPC. I intend make a software will run on PPC (with WM6). The software will work as:
+ When there is a call going on from my phone, the software will auto connect.
+ After that, if I press any key on my phone, the software will know which key was pressed. Example: I press 1, the software on PPC will show "1", I press #, the software on PPC will show "#".
