How do you turn off GPRS when it's turned on? On the original XDA, you click the icon in the header bar and it gave you disconnect option, the 2s doesn't have that option.
I miss the same thing : possibility to stop GPRS from the same place you started it...
The only easy way I know is to keep the red phone hardware button pressed for some time. It eventually does disconnect GPRS.
Hope this helps.
Goto wireless manager, and press on the GPRS icon, which turns it off
killing GPRS
If you click on the Phone Icon....you can go into "Flight Mode" and this kills GPRS.

You can also press the end call button (red button) for some seconds. GPRS connection will be droped.
for me, gprs shuts off on its own. How do i set it to always on ?
for example, when i check mail, it connects to GPRS just fine, once done, GPRS shuts down.
Any idea anyone ?

Can anybody tell me how to quit my GPRS connection after use? I can't find anywhere I can stop it...tnx!
I use Spb GPRS Monitor (works with any data connection, I have a CDMA phone), which provides a 'Disconnect' button both on the Today Screen, and as a pop-up from the icon in the title bar.

this didnt seem to work at first, but then it does, it seems to take ages to do it, then after about 10 seconds of thinking it aint going to do it, it makes a beep sound and gprs is off, cheers mate, thats much appreciated,....
When I shut my device off it disconnects GPRS, I want it to leave it on all the time unless I disconnect it, because I want to sign on AIM, and be able to shut it off in my pocket and if someone IMs me it will make a sound like usual.... Anyone got any ideas? I know its something with the registry.
If you have SPB Pocket Plus, you can use "toogle screen" to switch off the LCD screen to save battery, while applications and GPRS connection would still be running.
When you press the power button, you are actually putting the device to stand by, hence AIM and etc. would not stay connected.
Hello,
Does anyone recognize this issue?
The keyboard should reconnect on pressing a key within a few seconds. However what happens:
-immediately the standard keyboard SIP icon is replaced by the igo icon, so it does make a connection.
-but the green led doesn't start blinking, and it doesn't start typing
-I have to repeatedly press a key, sometimes for 2~3 minutes
-then the led start blinking and i can start typing.
When I open the keyboard cnfg screen, in the BT tab, it says:
-waiting to reconnect, press any key etc. etc.
-repeatedly, it flashes to "connection is not setup" but immediately goes back to waiting to reconnect state,
-until ultimately the connection is enabled.
Setting up the connection with the standard built-in driver works perfectly, but i cannot use that anymore because i now also have a BT mouse.
I have an x51v with WM6
I use igo driver 4.52
So, please, does anyone recognize this problem? Is there a solution?
Thank you
Kuifje
Hey,
i was wondering if anyone else was having a problem with the wifi staying connected. I have a wireless setup inside my house, and i can have any device connected without it getting dropped, but the phone is the only device that gets dropped.
you have to change the power settings of your wifi. go into your comm manager, click settings, select WLAN Settings, select power mode, and in the power saver mode, change it to best performance. select done and thats it your finished.
