Wifi problem - HTC Excalibur

Hey,
i was wondering if anyone else was having a problem with the wifi staying connected. I have a wireless setup inside my house, and i can have any device connected without it getting dropped, but the phone is the only device that gets dropped.

you have to change the power settings of your wifi. go into your comm manager, click settings, select WLAN Settings, select power mode, and in the power saver mode, change it to best performance. select done and thats it your finished.

Turn off GPRS

How do you turn off GPRS when it's turned on? On the original XDA, you click the icon in the header bar and it gave you disconnect option, the 2s doesn't have that option.
I miss the same thing : possibility to stop GPRS from the same place you started it...
The only easy way I know is to keep the red phone hardware button pressed for some time. It eventually does disconnect GPRS.
Hope this helps.
Goto wireless manager, and press on the GPRS icon, which turns it off
killing GPRS
If you click on the Phone Icon....you can go into "Flight Mode" and this kills GPRS.

Imate PDA2K, BT850, MS VoiceCommand
Dell X50v (awesome screen)
You can also press the end call button (red button) for some seconds. GPRS connection will be droped.
for me, gprs shuts off on its own. How do i set it to always on ?
for example, when i check mail, it connects to GPRS just fine, once done, GPRS shuts down.
Any idea anyone ?

Airplane Mode/Los

I've been noticing every now and then my phone will go into airplane mode and I can't get it to come out. I uncheck it and it says it's turning the radio on but when I exit wireless settings and go back in - there it is, checked again.
When I hold down the power button I can 'turn off' AP mode but it's still on and checked in the wireless settings.
LoS is something different supposedly but next time someone has it (not ghost Los) check the AP mode and let me know.
Also think I can recreate this issue very easily.

[Q] Connection issues

I am running AOKP B35 on my CDMA GNex and when I plug my phone into the computer, nothing happens. It doesn't show up at all on my computer. I am trying to put a theme on there but I can't connect. How do I fix this issue? Any tips would be appreciated!
Do you have fast charge mod turned on?
If so turn it off, problem sorted.
I did have fast charge turned on. Thanks for your help. Man, do I feel like an idiot... *facepalm*
I have turned fastcharge off and it still wont connect. I tried to configure the drivers in Device Manager, but it doesn't even show up there.
go in settings> storage> press menu key> USB computer connection and check that Media Device (MTP) is ticked
That got it. Thanks guys!

Power Saver Problem

I have this problem where the power saver battery mode sometimes changes to power saving mode by itself (I set it to normal mode or performance mode). This means that the networks turn off when the phone sleeps - a big problem for me because I am using an ip phone service (no 2G voice) that needs an always on connection. I have the Z008 (ze550ml) on the latest .92 firmware. My wife has the same phone and also has this problem. The only solution I can find is to disable power saver completely, but obviously this impacts on battery life. Does anyone know why this occurs? Is it a bug, or am I doing something to cause it? Is there any fix other than disabling the power saver?
There is a setting allows power saving mode to be activated automatically by schedule, I would check that first

Click to collapse
It's off.
Hi, I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?

USB Not Initializing (Not the usual USB Preferences change, it's simply not trying at ALL).

Have a P3XL that I'm I was going to load a custom image on. But I can't for the life of me get it to recognize having any form of usb data connection.
When I plug it in, it simply starts charging, no usb notification appears on the phone for adjusting the connection, the computer doesn't make a sound, nothing.
With the very same cable I can plug in a P6 and P3 and they will immediately be detected in the device manager.
I've tried messing with all the USB settings on the phone, turning them off, adjust the default use to File Transfer / etc... (note that none of this is from the usb notification, but the actual usb settings under preferences since it's unable to detect it's even attached!)
I'd had a couple issues with the port only charging sometimes so I bought a replacement charging assembly and installed that assuming that would make all my problems go away and while it definitely fixed the cable so it charges every time, it continues to refuse to be recognized as a device.
Does anyone have any ideas what would cause something like this and what might be wrong to cause it to not be recognized AT ALL (to re-iterate, the computer literally can't detect that a device was attached it's not doing anything, both with old and brand new charging port).
(One other quirk, not sure if it's related...The phone never actually stays off. If you power it down, it will power itself back on just a few seconds later. The power button itself isn't stuck and works perfectly for all the normal functions: tapping/holding etc.. And to be clear, it never shuts itself off randomly or anything like that, it's just if you hold the power button and choose "Power Off" it shuts down and then just reboots 2-3 seconds later)
