Hey everyone,
I am trying to do two tasks: turn the phone on and off programmatically. Since the phone drains alot of the battery, I would like to have it off when in suspend mode and have it back on when in normal mode. I can use CeRunAppAtEvent() to turn the phone on at start up, but I dont know how to recognize a state change from normal to suspend at which point I would turn the phone off. Any suggestions? Thanks
Just curious.... What's cookin' ?
Just want to save battery life, you know
Does anybody else use Power Saving Mode?
If so, do you "Turn off sync" (option when power saving mode is enabled)?
Well, here's the bug. If power saving mode turns on (as in, the battery goes below a certain %), sync will turn off (auto-sync to be exact, which can be found in Accounts & settings) which is fine.
But, let's say I plug in my phone, and my battery goes above that certain %, in the morning, I won't get my emails, or anything, because Power saving mode turned off Auto-sync like I told it to, but it doesn't turn it back on like it should. And it will stay off until you remember your phone activated Power saving mode last night (I gotta say, this isn't the first time it happens to me!).
Just throwing this out there, I've only noticed problems with Auto-sync.
Does this happen to anybody else?
Yep. Happens to me too.

this has been a bug since release, it sucks because I would use power saving mode otherwise.
Same. I used it at first, thought it was a great idea. But i never use it now just sure to this oversight.
Still there in EL29, I noticed this yesterday when I was thinking WTF my screen is really dim and no email today.
Yea. Unfortunately the power saving mode sucks on Samsung phones. I stopped using it just because of that lol

Hy,
anyone can test and tell me how long does the phone lasts if extreme power mode is enabled and the screen is always on?
thank you
I'm rooted on CPD1. When the battery power gets to 5% the phone goes into a power saving mode that is really nice. How can I put it in that mode manually?
I had to use the max power saving mode last night. Then when I charged my phone and turned off power saving, it still did not re-enable my notifications. What do I do?

Did you try rebooting? Maybe wipe cache in recovery. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. Factory reset, but that is a pain.
