I have an O2 XDA IIs unlocked running on the Orange network. I believe all my settings are correct as I can use the GPRS. But for some strange reason I cannot recieve MMS messages.
The message comes through saying unread, you click download, the little receiving tray appears at the top, but nothing happens. I have a 4k file that wont download.....please help!!!

I have a similar problem.I have a magician under the i-mate branding.I have all the gprs settings, can access the internet but can't receive mms-I don't even get the tray at the top appearing.Just nothing, like it's going missing in mid air....
I have the XDA2s on Vodafone Ireland, all settings are correct, and only half the time MMSs are recived. its a pain. Is there a fix? i have installed the latest iMate rom on it, but no luck.
Good to see I'm not the only one with this problem.
solved my problem
after few jugglings,i managed to solve my problem..u need to check yr mms settings, make sure yr server address and port are correct. If u r getting connected to GPRS..things are fine from connections side..u need to review the settings..i had a wrong server address.
Nishant: the problem i have is that it connects 50% of the time, and doesent the rest of the time. i have worked out that its actually a GPRS problem. when trying to connect to the ISP part of it, again, i get a 50/50 connection rate. anyone know if its posible to fix this?

i have the same problem, cant send/receive mms,it is connected to gprs though.
I just got my Qtek S100 and found i couldnt send mms,so i just got off the phone with o2 who made sure all of the settings are ok.
They say everything is how it should be and there is nothing they can do.
when i send an mms it says its sending but it always fails, same with receiving,i get a "new mms" message and it says receiving but i never actually get it.
its a great phone, loads to play with,i'd hate to send it back but i dont want a phone that cant send mms.

I am looking for the cab files to set mms and gprs, i am currently on a T-mobile with a Vodafone sim.
I have been looking for an original branded Vodafone Italia ROM, but without succes.
Another question: how do I backup the setting for a network, so I can set it back when needed?
Thank you

The Official Rom comes with Cingular Proxy preconfigured. Some where in the Programs screen you have a utility to disable the default Proxy. That could be the reason for no GPRS on your 8525

Hello,cruzzmz
i tried the updated softbank rom, too.
I'm using in Japan, no probrem without the top-icons clash.
Send MMS, It is necessary to input the password to "Connections-GPRS".
*I know the password
I hope for the improvement of "the top-icons clash".

Thats not the right password. That password is out of date, and replaced by another, unknown one in early 2007.

Hallo Desire Fans,
I'm using T-Online Desire but with O2 Online-Package M going online into Internet. With Android 2.1 and actually APN anything fits perfect - browsing through the internet.
Some days after updating Anroid 2.2 I recognize that the browser don't reach any page. I use an early update 2.2 - not specific one from o2, t-online, vodafone...
I use actually APN Data sent by o2. In the settings the APN Connect shows connected (Verbunden) but in dolphin and other browsers nothing happens.
O2's solution is to reset the Desire to Firmware 2.1 - but I wish to use Android 2.2 Do anyone of you know about this problem or places to look for fixing it?
Thanks for any hints going to internet.
Ciao, Matthias

Are you rooted..?
If flash my rom..its based on the o2 froyo 2.2 if not..and also don´t want to root.... flash the original from the german o2 site
Also i read a tip...: let the apn typ (last thing of apn settings) free
with kind regards..Alex
Not sure ;-) What's 'rooted...'?
The phone system is booted and SIM.. is in use.
I don't use froyo. The last update takes 2 day's to reorganize the lost of Data. Next updating is the last way. I know that same Update and using of APN... fit's by a friend with o2. The only different is, that my device is from T-Mobile.
@ Alex: Thank's for help.
I use original o2 APN settings and this one are without last entry (APN-Type), this hint you heard is correct.
Is there anyone using T-Mobile Phone with o2 and updating to Android 2.2?
Connections ?
hm - there MUST anything other wrong:
because on this way you cant root your phone
And on my phone it works perfect !

OK my setting too - only APN: internet (given by o2) but both setting didn't work.
need help with setting up the apn
i have got a desire with 2.2 onit from 3uk network. i am trying to setup new apn on it. i am able to save the apn settings, but unable to get the radio button nxt to it to select it to be in use. i have added multiple apn settings, all with no radio button nxt to it. i have restored the apn settings to default, rebooted, restored entire phone to factory settings, added apn settings again, tried all combination, but no joy.
i had a bit of success on adding the apn and deleting muti-multiple times, but since i had to reset the phone that was delleted again. now agin no radio button.
Can any one post any solution on this plz.
