My English O2 with 5.17 bootloader can not be flashed by card from another O2 unite with Chinese OS. I managed to pass the diagnostic check and can flash it using backup card from itself. Can any one tell me the trick?

Ok,
1.you must have power left in XDA
2.press volume button after you reset.
3.when you get to non-working or working today screen, sync with PC and delete update program in XDA's startup directory
4. reset
5. run update again.
Back to normal!!!!!!!

It is in bootloader mode at the moment. Have you tried removing the battery, waiting 30 seconds and then putting the battery back on?
Was the XDA working OK before it went into bootloader mode? Have you tried to flash the ROM recently? If nothing is working have you tried a hard reset?
If none of these work perhaps flashing the ROM might be the only solution.
this is XDA device ... so you can't remove the battery (easily at least ) ... try the hard reset ... if doesn't work then flash your ROM with any WM2003 ROM from the kitchen but I think you will have to apply the patch for bootloader 5.17 first

now iam trying to open it with windows Xp it open black window and disappear
and with windows Me it said that it is not a valid win32 application

I think you are going to have to use the boot loader and an sd card to do this.
down load an .nb1 file and transfer onto an SD card using an SD card reader.
put it in you xda and reboot while holdong down the power button.
That will load a new rom for you.

someone solder the power bottom ,so he made short between the pins of the switch
so i noticed that this switch no use ,i pres bot nothing happen ,do i checked it ,and it was th problem

Please, please help... During an O2 rom upgrade my xda IIs suddenly rebooted and now it is stuck in bootloader mode. I have worked out there is no rom left in the phone.
I have tried evrything I could search for in the forums but I get the dreaded error 101 whenever I try to re run the o2 upgrade. It seems the xda won't connect to anything.
ANY suggestions would be appreciated

disable usb connection from connection settings in active sync
then re upgrade the rom , and when you reach the screen where it tells u the rom version (it wont tell u this time) u ll HAVE to wait for few seconds before pressing "upgrade" , hopefully it will work this time

hi there, i tried upgrading my 02 xda executive from the software update on O2 website.my active sync 4.1 stopped working in midst and my xda is nt working now.and my pc isnt recognising the xda. the xda isnt starting up its completely dead.I tried hitting the 2 softkeys and the soft reset button and the screen lights up and it says to rollback to factory setting hit 0 zero, but nothing happens................plz help would be appreciated.http://www.my-xda.com/xdaExecSoftware.jsp
also the screen now has USB and v1.00 over it and shows nothing but this and not starting up and my pc pops a message up saying that an unknown usb device and cant be connected
Does anybody have a solution to the above problem as I now have 2 xda execs in the same situation. It's a bloody nightmare! I understand it's in bootloader mode. Just don't know how to get the xda up and running again without sending it off to O2...

LOOK HERE I have been in this situation myself a couple of times. Personally I use method 2 which is at the bottom of the page as it's very easy to follow. I suggest you try this method first.

Those of you having trouble after a Rom Flash. If it goes wrong, start by pressing THE BACKLIGHT BUTTON, THE POWER BUTTON AND PRESS IN TO THE SOFT RESET HOLE ALL at the same time. This should put you back into BOOTLOADER. Then try your rom flash again. If the WM6 fails I re-flashed with the O2 EXEC WM5 first. Forget Active Synch saying it cant etc.
Providing you can just see some very faint words then you are back in bootloader. I have got the original O2 XDA EXEC WM5 Rom files so if you want them, as I can not find out how to put a large zip file on here then I can email it to you. Let me know on

To enable bootloader mode hold volume down when the phone is off
or soft reset then hold volume down,you will see a tri-colour screen,that's normal
then connect to the pc and flash,this should solve

Problem resolved!
I've not any idea what happened but now i am able to flash my phone with any ROM. If i am not going wrong i think my phone was security restricted to install third party ROM, just HSPL with again and my problem resolved. Thank for support.

Which verison of ROM you use RUS or EU, if RUS you may brick bootloader, try make HR or put device in service mode, if you successed puting your device in SM try again paste this files but on Windows 7 32bit, I tried on Windows 8 and flash files procedure doesn`t works and my device stay on service mode (racks) but on Windows 7 when I copied files all steps passed fine, but I used EU ROM
I have a similar problem.I tried to do debrand menu and after flash mobil do not work. Is still in black screen. Sometimes when i put in to charger the diod blinks (orange) hmmm 10-20second (is not problem with discarge the battery - it is fully charged). I flashed in this rom

I did it already on other devices and everything was okay. Bat this time I did something wrong :
always i put on the memory card this file
UEFI_signed.nbh changing name to RIOUDIAG.nbh - and put into the memory FIRST - then i switching mobil on recovery (vol - , camera and switch on) the file was updated

RIOUDIAG.nbh - ROM - puting into the memory SECODN - then i switching mobil on recovery (vol - , camera and switch on) the file was updated
AND when I do on this method all will be ok BUT : )
I Flashed first rom file and my mobilephone is dead .... (I forgot that the first step is to update the UEFI file) and now The situation is such that the phone does not start.
