Give yourself a chance to help you and describe in detail all the details of what you did.

Nothing but I see a little crack on the screen like a X.

I installed it long time ago.

[Q] Device Not recognized !!

Hi,
Suddenly my device stopped working as a USB device. I really don't know what happened. It worked till last night and all of sudden this morning when I connected to my PC ( running windows 7) came up with the message - Device Drivers not Installed. I then installed Samsung drivers for Galaxy Nexus, which didn't solve my problem. I then tried with different other drivers from this forum. None of these drivers solved my problem.
I couldn't see my device in the Device Manager. What could be the problem ?
Most of the threads in this forum and in other web pages suggested to squeeze micro USB pin with a toothpick. I did finally do that and had no luck. Can someone suggest me the solution to it please?
Cheers..!!
Does your device charge when is connected via usb and your cellphone is on?

Diegoveloper,
Sometimes it does. But not as long as it is switched on. The moment I switched it off, it shows that battery charge symbol. I really don't understand the reasons for it. I suspect the driver issue. But I tried all possible drivers out there with hard luck.
P.S - It works every time I do hard reset. I just don't understand the reason. An OS update will fix this ?? I will try to recover from the stock image 4.2 through USB ( download to mobile through google drive )
Did you ever had this situation ? Please let me know of any solutions.
Cheers..!!

Yes I was on this situation few days ago, I don't know the reason, I found this link http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=23789&cnum=500&cstart=568
My problem was that I could not charge my device when it was on ,the uSB debugging was not working either.
I tried several methods but none works :/ , today I turn on my device, and It's working now, I can debug my apps , charge when the device is on, I don't know the reason for this , but you can check the link.

It's working now. It really is a weird problem. A couple of restarts work and then again it goes off. I will try to upgrade my OS to 4.2 and see if it solves the issue. I don't think it's a hardware problem. If it is a hardware problem, shouldn't work when it's powered off.
Had this problem but it was because I had "enable fast USB charge" on Franco... =\ forgot to switch it off when connected via PC.

My nexus is dead

Dear Friend , I have a galaxy nexus gsm version ( maguro ) , I have the following issue :
I 'm not able with my phone to go in recovery mode or reboot the system , every operation that I try to do on my mobile is not possible.
I have not problem of battery , and is not possible to connect the device by usb cable to the pc.
How can I solve it ? :crying:
Thank you in advanced.
So it just won't turn on? Or will it turn on but refuse to respond? Did you do anything to it or did it do anything just before it stopped working?
Does the computer even recognize the phone is plugged in? There is a thread in this forum about recovering a bricked galaxy nexus.
Shortly after we got our Nexi (the plural of Galaxy Nexus?), my wife's phone wouldn't power on. It wouldn't recognize the charger was plugged in, and wouldn't do anything. I took the battery out, and held the power button for 15-20 seconds. I put the battery back in, and plugged in the charger, with the phone powered off. The charging animation came on. I was then able to power the phone on normally, and we've had no issues since then. It's at least worth a shot.
Call Google or Samsung.

did you install a FFF bootloader? or keep the OtterX bootloader?
couple of other options
order or make a Fastboot cable http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53652317&postcount=2
try the boot to usb, short trick to reflash bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1430038
Even though twrp reported battery at 100% it could have been wrong, or battery is failing.
Could leave connected to pc for a few hours

Cannot mount phone to PC - OTG not working as well

Hello friends,
I own a OP3 fr over a year now and had no issues with it while rooting and changing roms, etc till two weeks ago.
After updating my ROM (Experience rom) to its latest version my phone could not mount to the PC, OTG is not working and dash charge went to hell.
Now, The phone has never been close to water at all, I've been careful with it more than with myself.
The phone has been checked by a repair man, he changed the usb port+mic 3 times, still not working.
Ofc I checked another charger, another cable, drivers, another otg usb.... NOTHING seems to get it to mount.
TWRP is working alright but I cannot mount from there also. OTG as well.
The phone shows on some PC's that it is an unknown device, even with drivers installed, won't let me set it as a mass storage or anything I can think of.
Does anyone have an idea to what the hell is going on?
Thank you in advance.

I can't do a logcat. There is no OS currently.
I can only enter TWRP or Fastboot.
Cannot mount from TWRP, Cannot get ADB sideload to work.
The device is an unrecognized driver in the device manager. (tried uninstalling ALL related drivers and installing again.)
Only weird thing i found is that the baseband and modem versions are missing from showing in fastboot
Exact same problem here
Im using the open beta 12, no OTG no dash charging :crying:

If you are talking about bootloader mode, right from the day I purchased the phone, they are blank despite flashing different ROMs and firmware/modems. So that is not an issue.

How to Unbrick Dead Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100)?

Hello XDA universe, I need some help to fix my Dead Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100).
In Elaboration, My N7100 was working fine 7 days ago, and I was using CM12.1 on it for over a year, I decided to install CM13 on it, I did the same, first boot was successful, phone booted up like always, then I plugged the charger in and performed a restart, but I didn't boot after that,
Now, I'm left with No display, No Recovery, No Download Mode and No Hope.
I tried using the USB JIG method to get into the download mode, but failed, maybe I didn't do it right,
Please help me out, It was my Mom's personal phone, and I have heard a million scoldings for doing this....
Please somebody help me....?
Do you see the charging screen or charging LED when connected to a charger?

Sir, thanks for replying, It did that on the very first incident, now it's good as dead.
Please tell me how to recover it.
When the phone is connected to a charger, does the phone get warm? If yes, it could be charging.
To use the jig, remove the battery, insert the jig, insert the battery. The phone should automatically vibrate and boot into download mode. About 15 seconds after inserting the battery, remove the jig, connect the phone to a computer, and see if it shows up under devices.
