sd778g benchmark shows better result than kirin 990 4g , but in real life , my mate 30 way more smooth and perform lots faster than mi 11 lite 5g ne , mate 30 kirin 990's difference is really far ahead .
Snapdragon 778G vs Kirin 990 (4G): tests and benchmarks
We put Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G against HiSilicon Kirin 990 (4G) to find out which SoC is better. See performance comparison in benchmarks and games.

Their performances are similar.
Perhaps it's the roms that make differences. MIUI is quite heavy, you can make Mi 11 Lite NE smoother by installing a minimal ROM likte LineageOS.

I own a note 8 exynos and to be frank pubgm on it sucks big time, even though the phone was a flagship of its generation. I am just wondering if its worth upgrading to note 10+. I love the pen features but would not upgrade unless the gaming (esp. pubg) is a smooth experience.
What is the fps note 10+ owners are getting on pubg m? And on what graphic settings?

No issues there mate. (10+ 5G Australian Exynos model.)

Thanks. What about people using the non 5G version (I assume the 5G Exynos chipset is different from the 4G one).

I think only Modem is different between 5G and LTE variants of Exynos 9825 SOC and so performance of GPU should be similar between two if not same.

This is correct. Same GPU and RAM count, its just the antenna and modem that's different. (oh and it costs a lot more )
I know this is an exynos thread but pubg on Snapdragon is pretty good. Loads faster than note 9, rarely any lag wifi or 4g. In about 30 - 50 mins of game play lose about 10% battery.
Not bad I guess.
Carrier locked 256gb 10+ model
Note 10 snapdragon 855
Don't get the exynos version.. Extreme fps option is not there unless u put graphic on lower option.. If u want it for gaming get an iPhone or snapdragon
We already saw all the performance of Mediatek chip, the performance is not better than snapdragon. But redmi claims that the mediatek chip is better than snapdragon 712. What do you guys think about this?

Of course, G90T is more powerfull than SD712...
CPU : Cortex A76 are better than Cortex A75 (Kryo 360 is a very slight customisation)
GPU : Mali G76mc4 is better than Adreno 616
RAM : 2133Mhz is better than 1866 (both lpddr4x dual Channel)
ISP : 3x MNFR up to 64MP are better than 2x MNFR up to 48MP.
Thinking the opposite is nothing but forejudgement...or troll.
Of course, you can find some apps that will run better on 712 (for exemple, emulators), but it's not a problem of power but of app's unoptimized code.
Not everything is all about specs, but about optimization and quality of sources, of which Mediatek is not famous at all. Broken sources, ROMs filled with bugs and etc. It would be great, if Mediatek would have forums like CAF, that would considerably boost development, but...
I once used Mediatek device and got fed up with it being completely locked and sources being broken completely. My opinion, though.
Just look at the Xiaomi Redmi Pro ( this one ). It came with android 6.0 and never received any further android update. But it's not like that this time, I easily get 9 hours SOT with gaming.
Battery life for me is VERY good. About to go to bed with 50% battery left with light use during the day and heavy use all evening.

My Redmi Note 8 Pro lasts for about a day and 10 hours mostly. At the end of the day there is almost 48% battery left. I'm much satisfied with its battery timings

I am very satisfied with Mediatek performance on this phone. I noticed big difference between Redmi note 7 that I have with Redmi note 8 pro that I have now.
Think things are different this time, the redmi N8 pro is a game changer this phone is awesome the battery life lasts all day power using and the phones a beast. i speed tested it against my sammy note 9 eight gig version and my Mi mix 3 eight gig version and it was neck and neck. But here we are a note 9 eight gig is a 1200$ phone and the mi mix 3 is a 450$ phone and a 240$ is running with them and the camera is outstanding better than the sammy n9 and the mm3 so dollars for dollars there's a big difference there.
same price as mi 9 lite...
i would go for the mi 9 lite

Not exactly
The snapdragon cpu is more supported over the years
Which one would you pick?
I'm concerned about battery life on the exynos model even without gaming.
(No I wouldn't use it at 60hz).
Nord for sure
I game on my exynos s20 plus and still gets me to the end of the night, I actually don't see a problem with battery life, it has better battery than my oppo find x2 Pro anyways and that's running sd 865

Hi guys, im pretty new to custom ROMs and i wanna install one, so i wanted to ask you guys what are some good custom ROMs for performance and low input delay?
I heard ArrowOS and xiaomi.eu are pretty good, are there any other alternatives?
Thank you guys so much for taking your time reading and replying to this post, have a great day/night
I can confirm Arrow OS if fast af (using it myself now), plus it and Syberia OS are the only custom AOSP-based roms that I know which can deal with Mifare NFC for sure,. Still if you want a lot of customization, better try Havoc or crDroid; Arrow is super fast and stable but lacks customization compared to these two.
Xiaomi.eu is completely different, it's a miui-based rom, if you can stand (or even love) MIUI, go for it, sure. But I would recommend MiuiMix over it, its devs take weekly xiaomi.eu rom as a base and add some tweaks to it, improving smoothness and stability.
Concerning input delay, it's a thing related to kernel mostly. We do not have any custom kernels (except Quantic) that can be downloaded and used on any rom, therefore no info to compare. So I definitely can't say any rom is 100% better than others for input delay
POCO F3 doesn't need custom rom for good performance infact i bought another one 8GB+256GB variant for $270 (so cheap). I used it as PS1 emulator via HDMI

both, just like Xiaomi.EU
Yeah you can try xiaomi.eu rom too. Performances are great. And you keep the MIUI style which looks nicer than aosp roms.
Try both and take what you prefer.
Or, we could do some benchmark tests on every rom to check which is the best in terms of raw perf.
in my opinion Arrow OS and Havos are good. try Havoc if u want customisations. arrows lacks in customisation. or better yet wait for Dot OS 5.1. its very beautiful

This is a pretty scary deal but it's only limited to the Philippines.. Anyway to have it delivered internationally?
by all means give custom roms a go (i'm running Arrow and loving it), but i feel fairly sure that stock/xiaomiEU will always perform slightly better for gaming etc - not sure if that's what you meant by performance.
at least that used to be the general rule of thumb, if my haggered memory recalls correctly.
no doubt many are aware of this but one thing i always do with roms, stock or custom, is to change Window animation scale+Transition scale+Animator scale down to 0.5 rather than 1 (in developer options). Makes the animations so much snappier and feels like everything is running much quicker. i find it much more pleasing, but that's just my opinion

Hi and thank you for taking the time to read this!
I'm in need of a new phone like ASAP My last phone was a xiaomi redmi 10s and I was happy with it but now that xiaomi redmi 11 is out I'm thinking of buying it, is there a better one for under 250€. I basically game on my phone all the time and listen to A LOT of music but main focus is gaming like emulators and stuff like that. So can anyone help me?
P.s I'm thinking of getting the 8gb version of the phone
yes! beside x3 pro these are the best for emulators, sound is decent, screen is excellent, just don't update MIUI to 13 version, keep MIUI 12 til 13.5 release.
I'd get a Mi 10T (Snapdragon 865)
Snapdragon 870 is not overclockable so 670MHz GPU is your max
Snapdragon 865 is overclockable so you can overclock to 900MHz GPU but you'd need to get a fan to sustain that high overclock while gaming.
