Question Overheating popup keeps showing up - Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Hi,
A few days ago, a "Device cooling down" popup showed up on my Galaxy A52s 5G.
From that moment, this popup started showing up constantly, as soon as the phone boots.
This overheating prevention mode prevents me from opening any app or using MTP to backup my data.
However, the phone is clearly not overheating. I've even tried to cool it down using a cold pack but it did not change anything, so I'm guessing the temperature sensor must be broken.
Do you have any idea on how I could backup my data before sending my phone in for warranty?
Thanks!

Would suggest using SwiftBackup (Playstore) for Call Logs/Messages/Contacts (Local) - Samsung account can also backup all that. (Cloud)
For Image/Video files - if you have an SD Card, can copy all files and remove from phone ?
If no SD Card maybe could transfer files via 'PlainApp' (Playstore) to your PC ?

SD Card seems to be unmounting automatically...

Well, basically as the title says. This's happened several times to me already. Say I'll turn my phone on (from standby) I'll get a popup error saying that the backup was unable to complete because no SD card was found. Next, the music application won't load the songs because those're all stored on the card. Same for Photos/Gallery. When I go to ES File Explorer, the 'sdcard' folder reports that it is empty.
There hasn't been a pattern that I discovered. This just happened now when I woke up (phone left charging overnight; Wi-Fi & Sync enabled) and I decided to come post here. Happened again yesterday afternoon when I got my phone out to play some music on the way home.
Every once in a while, I'd get lucky and the files would show up by themselves, but the only fool-proof way I've found to get the phone working properly again is a restart, which takes several minutes to do.
I am NOT running any task manager (well, I was but when this problem started up I checked another thread which recommended to remove the task manager, so I did).
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Do you know of a fix, or is it just me?
Mine's done this a couple of times, but I've put it down to the SD card not being quite pushed home properly. Worth taking it out and cleaning the contacts.
Nope, that doesn't work. I re-inserted it yesterday (contacts were clean) and this morning woke up with the same problem.
Please tell me this isn't just happening to me, cause it'll be a right pain in the ass to have this repaired (sending abroad/etc).
Is the SD Card the one you got with the phone (4Gb) or another make/model size? Please include details so others can help more.
I have left the given Samsung Class 2 4Gb SD card in mine and I have never had any issues with the SD Card unmounting. This is not saying it won't happen, but for me it has been fine. I was going to upgrade to my other Sandisk 16Gb Class 2 that used to be in my Touch Pro, but will do that hopefully this evening.
So all I can guess is either a faulty card or some issue with Class/Size/Manufacturer of Card (if you changed from the Samsung one) ?
It's the stock 4GB card that came pre-installed in the phone. Phone's unlocked too, bought from Clove. If it helps/is relevant: when I loaded up the camera it gave an error saying something like 'no sufficient read permissions for SD card'*, maybe that'd be a clue to the problem.
*I can't quote exactly cause I've since restarted the phone and can't remember it word for word. If/when this happens again I'll post the exact error.
EDIT: There, it just happened again. Restarted the phone not even an hour ago, it's getting ridiculous. Anyway, the error from the camera reads "Unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient file permissions".
FWIW, when I go to SD & Phone Storage settings i CAN see the total and available space on the card. It's just completely inaccessible by the programs. Have also tried the 'SDMount' widget, did absolutely nothing.
Happens to me too but only when I've been letting go of my phone to put it down rather than placing it down, or if I have to drop it on my bed or chair quick.
Happened to me a lot too when I was using one of the lock screen info apps, to get my calendar info on the lock screen. Uninstalled and the SD card problem went away.

Never used that :/
I've uninstalled all apps that seemingly access the SD card and will start reinstalling one by one to see if the problem does come back. Only way I could think of.
It is happening to me also. The last 3 days is doing it at least twice a day , i have the desire almost one month and neved had this problem earlier.
And i though it was something i did.
i had the same camera permissions problem. restarted and havnt seen it again since. 4gb card that came with the unbranded device. no idea what caused it, could be any number off new apps etc :S
I've got the same problem.
I've already tried to reformat my SDcard, but the problem still exists. Another problem when the SD card unmounts, is the CPU usage. This rises to ~10% constantly. Probably cause of this are apps which are trying to write to my SDcard.
Still no solution found, maybe I'll try another SD card in a couple of days.
FWIW, I gave up on the stock card and copied all my stuff over to another 4GB card I had running around (straight copy) and it seems to be working fine now. Haven't had a problem yet, although it hasn't even been 24 hours.
Will report back if/when something comes up, and when I start re-installing the apps that I previously removed.
I wrote to HTC earlier yesterday describing the same problem, and I just received this reply:
Dear Mr.Matthew Thank you for contacting HTC. Maybe you mount it on the pc to copy nd paste something and you forgot to unmount it from the pc.. Are you using the inbox SD card? Did you install any third party applications to the phone? Please use the phone in Safe Mode. Safe mode terminates all installed running applications, in case if they caused this issue. Please backup what you have on the SD Card and Format it. If you have any other inquiries, don’t hesitate to contact us again. Please note that you can contact us via support line. For further details, please go to http://www.htc.com/europe/CA_Hotline.aspx , Thank you so much for using HTC products. Respect & Regards, HTC Team http://www.htc.com

Only thing I have not yet tried is the Safe Mode. Will see if it needs to get to that.
i had this issue when I installed 'ebuddy'... uninstalled it and the problem is no more
It's started to occur on mine at least twice daily now, it wasn't so before about 4 days back. I've just actually restarted the device on getting such an error and apps complaining that they can't read/write to the SD card. Really after some sort of fix here.

You're right it seems that was my problem too.
I got rid off ebuddy and all is fine now
I've had this problem once so far, and reading the reply from HTC reminds me that I have unplugged my phone from my mac without unmounting it a few times...
I am also having this issue and have ebuddy installed! I shall uninstall it and see if it fixes it! I really hope it does because its starting to get annoying
I too have ebuddy installed and shall also try removing it and see if that fixes it!
I don't have ebuddy installed but just experienced the SD card error with the camera today.

Problem: Game Apps won't stay installed

The first app I had problems with was Battle camp. After I downloaded the Christmas update the app wouldn't install. It kept throwing invalid manifest errors. So I Uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Now it installs and I can open it. But, if the app gets killed from the app switcher or a couple hours of doing other things when I try to open the app it crashes and pops up with a suddenly stopped report that I can submit.
At that point I have to reboot to try and open the app with out the suddenly stopped error. After the reboot the app icon changes to a generic android guy. When I try to open it, it says the app isn't installed.
Last night the OTA AT&T update hit my phone. This morning 2 more games showed the generic android guy for an icon and said app not installed. Dungeon Hunter 4 and Galaxy on fire 2.
I didn't bother trying to reinstall them and as far as I know they didn't have any updates.
Now I went to play Star Wars Commander and it said there was an update. I updated and it installed fine. But, now I have the same problem with that app as Battle camp. Works once then auto crashes. On reboot it says not installed.
I am sooooooo wishing I had traded my Note 2 for an iPhone 6+...
Any suggestions?

Reset the device in the settings.
You mean do a factory reset?

SNAFU!!
I used My files to copy all my photos, easy note notes, zedge files, etc to my SD card.
I then removed the SD card after I checked all the folders to make sure there was data in the copied folders. I understand mounted the SD card and removed it from the phone. I powered down the phone and used volume up, home, & power button to get to the reset menu. I reset all data and cleared the cashe.
After the reboot I powered down and reinstalled the SD card. All the data I copied is gone. All the existing data I put on it with my computer (music, video from my note 2, etc) is still there. All copied folders from before the reset are empty. Photos shows all my pictures I copied as broken links that when you click on them it says no data found.
I reinstalled Battle camp and Star Wars commander. Both showed broken links 10 minutes after install I hadn't even got to opening them because.i was trying to find my missing SD card data. Both shortcuts say app not installed when clicked on.
I guess I will be stopping at AT&T after work to see about exchanging my POS phone.
i had problems on my S4 with keeping apps from disappearing on my homescreen. Turned out to be the install location of some apps. For some reason, some apps install directly to my external SD Card, which causes it to disappear upon reboot. I dont have problems with it crashing or uninstalling but maybe its related. Try removing your sd card and then installing it and seeing if it crashes with the sdcard physically removed.
AT&T is sending me a replacement
SD card installed or not. It is still losing apps. And, the writing to the SD card issue was enough for AT&T tech support to send me a warranty replacement. Their oustanding in store customer service not withstanding (sarcasm), I am pretty happy. The replacement is a refurb, but I will get it tomorrow. The kicker is the AT&T live chat guy says the manager of the store I was in should have replaced my phone on the spot instead of sending me home to talk to tech support myself. Maybe the manager should have been helping her girl, that was helping me, instead of hiding in the back room with the other 2 employees that were working. At least they are crediting me the 2 day shipping charge.
those 'refurbs' usually always look brand new. Good luck with it.
The Refurbished does look brand new
I got it activated and sure enough I am still having the same issues. Now the chances of 2 bad phones is pretty remote. So I grabbed my 32gb card out of my action cam. A sandisk SD card.
Formatted it and everything seems fine now. Apps aren't uninstalling themselves and my files actually transfers files to the card that stay after a reboot.
I guess my 2 64gb SD cards (1 samsung and one sandisk) are just funky. They work fine on my computer and in other devices but my 2 note 4s didn't like them

HELP!!!! WiFi connection unstable and SDCard unmounting automatically

Hi All,
I own a LG G3 for past 1 yr and 4 months. Every thing was fine until last month when I accidentally dropped my phone and the display cracked. Of course, touch did not work. So last week I went to an authorized LG service center to change the whole display (which involves the process of taking out the motherboard and fixing it with another display. This means the whole frame is changed). He did this process in front of me only. After the change, everything works well except for a weird WIFI problem which I never faced before the screen was replaced.
The WIFI would frequently connect and disconnect. Even in the search list, all the SSIDs would be shown occasionally and sometimes won't show up at at all. Note again, this happens with all the potential WIFI connections around, Not only with mine. In short, the WIFI search results list won't be stable.
Even if my WIFI shows up in the list and I try to connect it will show - "saved"/"disconnected"/"Disabled" status. And yes, occasionally my WIFI gets connected and internet starts working. But not for too long. Prolly the connection lasts for 5-10 mins or so. All my other devices connect using the same AP and so i don't really have a doubt on my router AP.
I visited the authorized service center again. Without even having looked at the problem he says motherboard might be the problem, and asked me to change it. Even if i persist him to have a look at the problem, he won't . My last resort is XDA
The ways I tried.
1. Factory reset.
2. Flashed roms 21A and 20P (from scratch, erased all data and caches). Still No joy.
3. Tried forgetting the network and connecting again.
4. Toggle WiFi on and off
P.S : I also have another problem of SD card getting unmounted automatically and an error message pops up as "SD Card removed unexpectedly. Please unmount SDCard before removing to prevent", but immediately a toast message comes as SD card inserted. xx.xx GB space available. This keeps on happening in a loop until SD Card wouldn't show up in File manager at all. But, this problem was there for a long time even before the screen was replaced unlike the WiFi
problem which occurred only after the screen is replaced.
I really don't know what exactly is going on with my phone. Please let me know if any of you are familiar with these problems and have solved it. Would really save a huge money for me

Galaxy S9 Unique Problem/Troubleshooting

,
Hello everyone,
So I have (had) a Galaxy S9. A lady friends dog bit it (no b.s), and broke the screen touch input. Gradually the entire screen turned black. So now I have an S9 with no possibility of seeing or touching the screen.
The worst part is the screen broke WHILE IN maximum power save mode. Which means the USB can't be used for anything other than charging.
Making matters even worse, I had a 64gb SD card in it which had very important pictures and other valuable items.
I can't use the sd card on another phone because it says it has to be used on the original device (unmounted).
Does anyone have any ideas of what to do with getting my phone reset, get the info off, get the SD card data off etc.? I was quoted $300 for the repair.
I also have numerous, and I mean numerous, website/app logins using Google Authenticator. I can't access the Authenticator codes without the S9, and I also have A LOT of cryptocurrency wallet addresses on the Authenticator, and of course the key to access the Authenticator is on the SD card ?*
Sorry but I never knew the SD card would be specific to a phone.. because if the phone breaks or is lost forever what do you do?

How do I unlock my phone without losing data or resetting my phone by factory settings?

Hi everyone!
Recently my phone battery died, and I charged it and after turning it on I cannot unlock my phone. The lock was 4 digit PIN and fingerprint and you have to enter that PIN every time you turn on your phone. So it keeps saying that the PIN is incorrect. Although I am 100 % sure, this is the correct PIN, I used it that morning, and I've been using it for more than a year by now. I had very important files left on this phone and I do not want to lose them.
I've been using this phone since 2018 and lately it's been slow and freezing from time to time. I bought another phone but unfortunately didn't rush with transferring my files to it from my old phone. I don't even have a Xiaomi account on it, and I did not back up any of my data, which was so thoughtless of me. So, I was wondering if there is possibly any way to unlock it without losing data. Please, help me. I really need those files.
I also tried to make an emergency call thinking during a call I could somehow unlock it, lol. But it keeps lagging and saying that "Phone has stopped". I also tried turning it on/off, restarting, entering different PINs (previous ones) but nothing has worked so far. Now I have a warning on the screen saying: "Your device will be wiped after 2 more failed attempts to be unlocked!".
So, I really do hope there is a way to get access to those files. And I'd be extremely grateful if someone could help me out with this.
A data recovery specialist may be able to retrieve them. Leave the phone powered off if you want to go that route. Otherwise you're likely boned.
When you use locks and encryption it is you who are the most likely to be locked out.
Always redundantly backup critical data on a regular basis. If you have a SD card slot, use the SD card to store all critical data and don't encrypt it.
