I got one Moto G40 Fusion, I thought it supports 5G when I purchased it. At that time I thought I'll get 5G support later through official updates.
But still we've not go any update for 5G support .
In phone information I do see NR option but while selecting no 5G option.
So are we going to get update for 5G or not ??

I'm currently on a 5G network. However I do not have the option to choose the 5G network as my preferred network. The same SIM when enter edin my Xiaomi 5G phone has the 5G option and is able to connect to a 5G network. I am using the US Unlocked Version of the Razr 5G overseas. Is there any codes, or setting, (or perhaps unlocking of the bootloader _that would allow the 5G setting to appear? //// For example when i enter my t-mobile US pre-paid sim the 5g option appears in the menu. I think there is a software element here blocking the option.
It may have to do with carrier preference wether to allow it or not. I am using the Google Fi e-sim and I watched options vanish after it was added, I can't turn off 5g, so I guess I'm stuck with that.
It's probably provisioning as a Sprint only device on Google fi with esim, you may have to get a physical SIM card to be able to use the T-Mobile network and 5G.

With Google fi it always defaults T-Mobile if it is not a Fi approved phone. I did find that going to *#*#4636#*#* then phone info and changing the network type would affect being on lte or 5g. Options with NR are 5g and without would be LTE or lower.
I own the european version of the Razr 5G. When I bought it a few days back (not new), it had only up to 4G available in the settings, on Android 10 (and not offering the option to update to Android 11). I tried to reinstall the software manually, which bricked it (only fastboot bootloader accessible, no system installed apparently). So I decided to unlock the bootloader (officially, so bye-bye warranty) to see if the problem could be solved this way. It didn't work better...
So I went to support.motorola.com as it was written on the screen and dowloaded the Rescue and Smart Assistant. That not only solved my brick problem, but also installed the latest Android 11 full firmware when I opted for the "Rescue" mode (about 3GB download).
All this to say that I not only have the latest Android 11 installed, but also the 5G option that appeared in the network settings now! Well, I might have lost official warranty now, but at least I learned some things doing it!
By the way, although I have the 5G preferred option set on, I still can't connect to it (what I can do with my cheap Realme 7 5G phone...) I think it is a known problem here in Europe, as a lot of "5G ready" phones have still to been granted access by the network carriers, or something like that. Well hopefully it will come with the next update.
Edit: I actually can connect to 5G network (guess n28 Band, because the speed is not too great), only compared to the Realme 7 5G phone I'm using daily, the quality of the signal is weaker with the Razr: 2 to 3 bars only, when I get full 5 bars with the Realme. So I guess it's got more to do with the Razr (5G only?) antenna location/quality.
Hi guys
I just got my op9 pro le2123
I noticed that i never have the 5g signal although that my carrier is fully supported 5g cover and in my wife s21 ultra I can see the 5g signal .
I canceled the smart 5g option
Is there is anything I can do?
I'm rooted btw
2123 is European model.
Where are you located and what is your carrier? For some reason that I don't understand, the EU modem prefers LTE-A signal over a comparable NR signal. You can try enabling 5G NR CA https://mt-tech.fi/en/enable-nr-ca-on-qualcomm-sdx60/ to see if that helps.
Hi everyone,
I have a OnePlus 9 Pro that I bought in India. Build is Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10.LE15DA
In Malaysia, I have subscribed to a 5G plan and the SIM is activated. However, the phone is not latching on to the 5G network and instead is using only the 4G network of the operator. I have gone into the testing mode and enabled the 5G radio in the preferred network type settings (NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA) but when I check on the 'SIM and Network' settings page, only occasionally does the Preferred Network Type show 2G/3G/4G/5G (Automatic). Mostly it doesn't but even when it does, the phone does not connect to the 5G network.
For information, the phone supports N41 and N78 5G bands and my operator (Yes Mobile) uses the N78 band for 5G.
I also know that this model does not appear in the 5G supported devices list. My question is: what is missing and what can I do (if anything) to get my phone to work on this network? Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance.
Is it possible that the locations in those cases were not covered by 5G signal of your operator?
Move to somewhere else closer to a 5G base station and then try again.

Hi,
No that's not possible - I'm trying this bang splat in the middle of the coverage area and I put my SIM into a colleague's phone (he was standing next to me) and it worked on his phone.
The Indian variant has less bands and 5g support so that might be it.

Yes, but the supported band is being used here. So I'm wondering what the issue is

I already mentioned above that it's not in the supported devices list. My question is different.
I live in India. I have a HK Variant of the Samsung Galaxy S22 (9010).
Airtel just launched its 5G in 8 cities. I checked NetMonster, and the tower near me is 5G enabled.
However, it appears for 5G to work on Samsung phones, an OTA update is required.
Since I don't have an Indian variant, I won't receive this Airtel specific OTA (which appears to have been pushed for Indian Galaxy S22s).
Apart from changing my CSC thru Chimera Tool etc, is there anything I can do? Please help.
You could contact your service provider

I too have the same variant. Samsung Galaxy S22 (9010) -- Taiwan BRI version.
Same issue.
Maybe once the Android 13 stable is rolled out to our devices, it may work then.

I wonder if there are enough number of us out there for Airtel & Samsung to consider fixing this issue.
Requiring an OTA to just connect to a band seems too much of a hoop to jump to, especially if people are visiting from overseas and have compatible bands. I'm hoping you're correct about the stable Android 13 update, let's see how they approach this.
I have heard S22 series doesn't need an OTA 5G update to work with 5G network. It's enabled already. The OTA is only for the mid range and previous gen S series. Due to some 5G bands and implementation. There are some people with S22 series device in Chennai receiving 5G signal without any issues.
Is there any possibility India rom will get 5g network support for jio or airtel?

How's that possible @pg0512 ? Have you used a customised rom?
Please suggest, I have Mi 10T Pro 5G but unable to access jio 5G.
I will wait for your valuable response.
Thank you!!
I m able to access 5G on Airtel network it's working fine , but even after enabling 5G SA not able to use on Jio
If u want to enable SA mode in Mi10T/pro dial this code *#*#726633#*#* after that in sim cards & mobile network -->additional setting enable SA

Hi @sklayeek , I also enabled SA mode in my Mi 10T Pro phone and jio welcome offer is already activated in my sim, but I don't access to Jio True 5G.
I read today Xiaomi will realse OTA update for these 10 series phones.
For reference visit this below url:
Xiaomi confirms Mi 10 series will get Jio 5G SA support soon
For accessing jio 5G You should be on 239 or more recharge plan also you should hv 5G coverage in ur area and enable NR mode only

I tried with above shared technique @sklayeek , I have installed same app and apply all settings.
But when I choose NR only as suggested, it shows there is No network in phone.
I live in NCR, full jio 5G coverage and Jio True 5G offer is already activated on my number.
So above shared tutorial is also not working in Mi 10T Pro.
I think so after receiving MIUI 14 official update for the device it will work and also this device is still not activated in the jio side servers so this might be the issue , even i am waiting for the official update for my Mi 10T Device
Yeah, There is no other option till wait.
Hope they will release it in this month.

xiaomi software support is getting poor these days. releasing so much variations for a series caused this trouble I suppose. 10 series will get 5g update after the 5g trial period is over.
