How to delete Star wars theme from a non-cooperative Note 10+? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hi, all!
So i got me a used Note 10+ that worked as it should. But when it came to modding, it refused to cooperate so i couldn't find the way to flash in anything non-custom, and even that barely. But i wrote more in detail about that in another thread, and that's not the issue for this post.
So, i believe i identified the problem, that the phone refuses to give the controll over the USB port to the 'other device', which basically makes any flashing impossible. In trying to solve that problem i managed to flash a couple of versions old, but not too old, stock A12. Through Odin. From the samfw.com. In first attempt I flashed the HOME-CSC as it said on the Sammobile's page that one should do, but I ran into complications and soft bricked the phone. So in second attempt I managed to flash in (again through Odin) the same couple of versions old stock A12 but this time I chose the CSC instead of the HOME-CSC, so that i would get the whole of the version i was trying to flash. This time the installation went well without glitches. But when i rebooted the phone, it turns out it has the Star wars theme as default and it cannot be deleted or uninstalled no matter what i do. I can install the 'ordinary' theme from the themes store, but after any resetting, it goes back to star wars as default.
So my question now is how do i get rid of the damn thing, and make the ordinary theme as default. I find no such alternatives in the menus of the themes.
As i said, flashing anything non-stock didn't work, not even TWRP (and i have flashed many devices before). Now it won't even accept the flash of any new version of the stock rom through Odin, which i tried to do in order to get a non-star wars theme as default.
The only way i can come up with is adb, if that would even work. How do i do it with adb then? And do you have any other ideas?

Thank you, for some reason it went well. The phone wouldn't otherwise accept any flashing when I tried it before. But I think I noticed a tendency that if I leave it alone for a while, it is more cooperative next time I try something...

[Q] Kies 3: "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization"

I have used Kies 3 to return to stock firmware and factory reset on many other Samsung products including a Tab 3 Lite, Note Pro 12.2, even the latest AT&T Note 4. But it doesn't work with the AT&T Note 2.
I need to use Kies because I don't want to trip the Knox flag.
My Note 2 is on the latest AT&T firmware, upgraded via OTA updates.
Build KOT49H.I317UCUCNE5
Bootloader I317UCUCNE5
When the command "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization" is chosen, the program says 'SGH-I317' does not support initializing. Is there any way to get this to work?

From searching xda, there is a second method, but it doesn't work either.
The second method is this: Start with the phone disconnected. Then choose "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization".
It will prompt for the model name. Enter 'SGH-I317' without any lowercase letters.
Then it will ask for the serial number, which you can get by opening up the back and looking under the battery.
Now you can connect the Note 2 in Download mode.
Then it will go through the entire process of downloading the firmware and extracting it to a folder in:
C:\Users\<windowsid>\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp<random>.tmp.zipfilder\
Inside this folder are 5 files. I noticed that these firmware files (I317UCAMA4) are for 4.1.2 Android version rather than the latest firmware.

5 File(s) 1,349,965,647 bytes
But it gets an error when it tries to start the firmware update.
Notice the recovery code is blank, so you actually can't start firmware emergency recovery.
On the Note 2 side, it says "SW REV. Invalid magic string."
Using ODIN 3.07 with the files downloaded above doesn't work either. Gets a "FAIL!" error.

I am having the same "FAILED" issue on both Odin and Kies (except I am using Note 8.0). Seeing as this post is over a month old, have you found a fix or anything helpful regarding this annoying issue?
Looks like the flash is failing because you are trying to flash an incompatible bootloader.
Posted above is correct.

[help] Galaxy J2 prime sticker on erasing after flash with Odin

Hi, I have a problem since a few days ago.
I have a J2 prime that had certain system problems so I decided to flash it with Odin.
The process ended correctly but never started the phone (stuck in erasing...)
I did many operations:
I did a wipe data in recovery (and stuck in rebooting...), I have marked nand erase all in odin, I have even downloaded another firmware of the same model, I flashed with another Odin and the problem continues.
The phone was connected to the charger all night (7+ hours) While the screen appeared "erasing ..."

Some small details needed I guess. These are mandatory for flashing w/ Odin anyway:
0. Firmware is downloaded from known site like SamMobile or Updato.
1. Odin version is 3.12.3
2. Firmware matches your model name (which i guess you have)
3. Flash all 4 (BL/AP/CP/CSC)
It seems like your phone stuck in erasing tho. Maybe try replace the CSC with the HOME_CSC included in zip file.
( The HOME_ one is basically the same with normal, except it skips wiping data)
Looking forward for the reply~!

AXE-LX2 on EMUI9, possible to unlock bootloader ?

Hello,
I'm talking to the XDA community that I've been following for quite some time in research to find a way to unlock my bootloader.
So I've already browsed pages and pages, and I've already seen the different techniques proposed here, but I have a difference that most users seem to lack.
I have a Huawei P20 Lite AXE-LX2 phone, while the majority of people here seem to have an LX1. It is of Chinese origin, under its name Nova E3. It is currently in version EMUI 9.1.0.353(C636E4R1P5) with a security patch of July 2020.
Coming back to the bootloader, I want to unlock it by the Telegram channel or DC-Unlocker, so I need to dowgrade to an specific EMUI 8 version.
Except that I already have the EMUI 8 stocks for my device, but none for EMUI 9. On androidhost.ru, I only found an EMUI 9 archive for AXE-LX2 (https://androidhost.ru/2CNs) by a guy who runs a site called ministryofsolutions.com . By downloading it, the content is protected by a password. So I sent an email to the guy, who told me that the archive was private and not for the public, so I'll never get the password (he runs a real small business in his country).
So I'm blocked at the first step because I don't have any EMUI 9 stock for my AXE-LX2. androidhost.ru only has stocks for AXE-LX1, so those on LX2 or LX3 are literally blocked.
When I tried other sites to find firmwares, I find myself with an archive full of drivers and softwares to install, not at all in the form of the dload folder to put on an SD card.
I also found this old XDA post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/ane-lx2-9-1-0-133-c605.3944407/ , but the same, not as a stock to install from an SD card, so I don't know how to do that at all (I put in screenshot the content of the two archives of the post).

Should I take the risk to install a stock AXE-LX1? Or could someone please give me an EMUI 9 stock corresponding to my model?
Thank you
I specify that I must first downgrade to an older version of EMUI 9 because HiSuite, whether in Chinese or English version, does not offer me the possibility to downgrade with my current version.

Hi, don't try it, it may brick your phone.
Unfortunately, there's no way to download Service ROM free for your build number, only for 17euros on paid websites.
After several hours of research, I managed to find a free stock ROM for AXE-LX2 at this address :
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261804346
The installation was perfect, and I found myself with an old version of EMUI 9.1 of at least two years old I think. Unfortunately, HiSuite, Chinese version or not, didn't offer me to downgrade my version, probably still too recent, or I arrived too late. If someone has another solution to propose me, please let me know in reply.
In case the file is down, I can upload it to another service.
Otherwise to get AXE-LX2 EMUI 8 stocks, there are two of them I know of for free on androidhost.ru.

Flash stock rom without data loss

Hi there!
It's been a few years since my I flashed Firmwares on my S6 with Odin so please forgive me if I'm not quite up to date on that topic.
Background: For installing custom emojis on my S9 I wanted to use Zfont, however, this doesn't work. I did some research and it is said that zfont won't work on debloated Samsung firmwares. Next step would be temporarily re-bloating my debloated device. I tried, however, I couldn't manage to reinstall all the Samsung apps since I don't rebember all of the packages that I removed and the few that have been recovered were not enough to make Zfont work.
In the old days you just could flash the stock rom on a working device to get all the uninstalled factory apps back. Is this possible with Android 10 and OneUI 2.5? Will my data be wiped if I flash it with the current firmware? Do I need OEM unlock?

Download latest firmware. Unzip it, there will be 5 files to flash with Odin.
Home_csc - will keep your data
csc - will wipe your data
Thank you for the info.

Yes
When looking for firmware use your baseband version number in about phone-software info as a base to look for firmware on the net. Just bare in mind you can't downgrade (bootloader/binary) firmware ( 5th number/letter from right of firmware name).
You can also use frija pc tool to download lastest firmware. It will be quicker than sammobil. Your have to search here on xda as i can't post links at the moment.
The flashing process went fine. Unfortunately, it didn't bring back the disabled apps. Probably because they have been disabled via adb for user 0, which means that they're still on that device but inactive for the current user.
At this point, I just don't want to spend any more investigating which missing apps causes zfont not to work.

Question LE2120 IN Version

So I bought a oneplus 9 pro from a dude yesterday for 500 bucks which is an absolute steal. I unfortunately however have the Indian version of the software (Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10.LE15DA)(Model: LE2120) so none of my 5g bands are working, which is the main reason I upgraded.
1.) Yes I know there's a very popular forum about how to flash the global version of oxygenOS but the thread gets posted in and updated constantly with different info from different people so it's harder to follow.
I need the following:
1.) Previous IN Oxygen build to downgrade.
2.) Current Global OxygenOS Version to upgrade.
I know doing this can wipe your data but the phone is a day old so I don't have any data. I can easily switch IMEI numbers through TMobile app as well so I'm not worried about that changing if it does. I just want the correct versions of the ROMS so I don't up/downgrade to the wrong versions and critically mess it up. Any help is appreciated and thank you!
If I'm incorrect with any of the information I provided please correct me as well. I truly appreciate any information on this topic!
Can you post your phone info, I got my from clicking on settings>about phone
I know you already mentioned it in the text, but a picture would help.

Flashing a global/europe firmware wont fix your 5G. You need to do some extra step and need to be rooted to get the 5G back. And 2120 it's Chinese version which comes with Color OS as primary but sellers found a way to flash Indian firmware there and flashed and sold the phone.
Below you will find LE15DA Indian downgrade to 11.2.5.5 link: https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlu...110_all_2107082121_downgrade_66a1f653e8ee4eb5
Downgrade to this and then install European firmware but wont get back 5G anyway try.
