Flashing G960U to G960U1 - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hello, whenever I try flashing my Samsung Galaxy with Odin 3.14.1 Patched, I am getting "Can't open the serial(COM) port." I have tried using multiple USB cables and ports, nothing is working. Are there any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

i use the pit file and 2 different stock files. eitherway it says it please help
I don't recall seeing that message from Odin, but have you tried different cables or USB ports? I know some cables work and some don't. Also the built in usb ports work better than the ones in the front of your computer. Worth a try.

[Q] Stuck Galaxy Nexus

My sprint galaxy nexus is stuck on the phone to pc conection problem screen. I've tried all manner of button pushing to get to the Odin screen to no avail. Odin opens a com port to the phone but trying to flash anything causes Odin to stop working. ADB does not recognize the device. When I attach the phone the computer sees "Samsung USB Driver" in devices so it seems some communication is happening. I've tried all my different cables and usb ports including those that have worked before. Removing drivers via device manager and reinstalling different drivers did not work. Any ideas or links to appropriate threads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Quick update - after a helpful email from one of the JTAG services from ebay (nice guy by the way) I got the phone flashed then up and running.
I manually updated the "Samsung USB Device" with new drivers, used a different tar with a Md5 and Odin 3.04. I have a feeling the manual driver install did the trick but I'm not going back through that again to find out.

Odin recognizes N7100 but does nothing!

Hello guys,
Odin recognizes my N7100 but simply does not work. I tried all Odin versions, using different cables and uninstalling/reinstalling drivers. Odin sees the phone when I connect via original USB cable or any other cable, but when I try to flash anything (BL, AP, CSC, etc.), it stops at 'get pit for mapping' for some time then I receive 'complete (write) operations failed - success 0 failure 1' error. During this time there's nothing happening on phone's screen. Only shows 'downloading... do not turn off target'.
Please help me. I am so depressed.
try switching off the antivirus
hope i helped, bests

Need help with a BRICKED Tmobile Samsung Galaxy Note II (T889)

My daughter was loading a game on my phone when it froze. I pressed the home button but nothing. I pressed the power button and nothing. I took out the battery put it back in to restart it and got the old tv static snow screen. I can only turn the phone off by removing the battery. I can get to the Odin mode download target screen. I have tried Odin3 v3.07 and KIES_HOME_T889UVALJ1_T889TMBALJ1_260018_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5 and followed instructions for how to unbrick on youtube. Odin gives me this: File analysis
SetupConnection...
Initialization..
Get PIT for mapping..
There is no PIT partition.
All threads completed. (succeed 0/ failed 1)
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
PS. - I have images on my computer but have no option to attach to my post.
I suggest downloading the latest stock rom from sammobile.com if you have not already done so and flash it using the original Samsung USB cable. If that doesn't work, try with different USB cables and USB ports.

Just followed you instructions and the instructions on sammobile.com and in Odin it still says no PIT partition file and FAIL in red.
Any other suggestions? Should I search for a PIT file for my Note II T889?
Are you flashing with the original Samsung USB cable? Have you tried other USB cables and USB ports?

Odin stucks at "setup connection" while flashing the new T830XXU2ARJ3

When I try to flash the new OXM firmware T830XXU2ARJ3 with Odin 3.13.1, it stucks at "setup connection".
I've already tried it multiple times with different solutions I found in the web.
I used various cables (all are original), USB-ports and operating systems and I've already restarted the tablet multiple times in the download mode.
I downloaded the firmware with SamFirm, also three times until now.
Do you have any ideas what could be the problem?

Reinstall drivers, uninstall Kies, (use a different usb port/cable) witch you have done so ignore.. Try a different version of Odin, use a different pc
or Rightclick -> Run as administrator try that...
Turn of your Tab S4, wait about ten mins turn back on then try.. Also if you have SD Card remove that then try...
I solved the problem.
It seems to be that the Tab S4 only has an USB 2.0 Type-C port and because of that, it's not compatible with the USB 3.1 ports in my PC.
As soon as I connect it to an USB 2.0 port from an older PC, it works flawless.
Yea, I had the same issue when I tried to flash mine on my Desktop.... had to bust out a USB 2.0 port on a older laptop for it to work.
