Trading in will only cost $200.....argh
Even my 3XL is able to get $271 back....the P6P gets $550. back
Yeah, just put one in the cart. $749.00 then after the trade in of the p6p
brings it down $199. Haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I keep staring at my Cart.......
I need Pixel Superfan help
Yeah, I was wondering when the benefit of being a pixel super fan was going to materialize. I haven't seen anything about deals since joining, but then again I don't have a Facebook so I don't hang around the site.
In any case, I actually pulled the trigger last night myself and figured what the hell. Hopefully I won't regret it!
Wow. Looking at Verizons deals with a P6P trade-in you can get the P7P for 36 months at $2.77. So that means like a little over a $100...but your buying through Verizon.
Tried a search, but didn't find one. Is there a P7P section?
Since both phones are similar, figured they would just use this one.

I was curious if anyone pre-ordered a Google pixel? I did not. I like my 1+3. The value of the 1+3 for the price is awesome. The pixel was too rich for my blood. I was wondering what you other 1+3 owners thought.
did not pre-order too because in germany the pixel phones start at 759 EUR that is way to much, however I would considering one if the prices drop about 200 EUR or so, but I definetly wait after the launch of the 1+4 if that schould ship with the SD 830 chipset I think the pixles are done for me...
I honestly would but the prices are just a little too high for such a small (if at all) upgrade from the OP3.
Too expensive, and also I am a bit annoyed with them as of late. It's not like I didn't expect the google phone to have exclusive features but preventing google assistant from being on other devices for the foreseeable future is a problem for me. At least with the nexus devices, the promise was that other phones would get the new features eventually. Now we're all going to end up with fewer features just because google wants to keep things exclusive.
Get allo, you'll be able to use the assistant

omg- the price. I like the 'nexus/google versions' but the price made me puke a little in my mouth.
Lol pixel cant beat op3. Pixel is totally **** over priced.
I wouldn't consider buying a Google Pixel to replace an Oneplus 3 an upgrade. IMHO the 1+3 specs are identical or better. This is disregarding the Pixels price which is a pretty blatant rip-off.
Though they are nice devices, I don't think the Pixel and Pixel XL are going to be very succesful. But we shall see.
After watching the announcement, I am staying far away from Google Phones. I bought G1, Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and then last stop was the Nexus 6p. I am very happy with OnePlus 3 and looking forward to OnePlus 4 .

If I had the money to waste on Pixels, I probably wouldn't buy OP3 in the first place ? I'd go for the S7 Edge or wait for Note 7 or V20 (weren't released yet back then), but now I can say with confidence that I would be missing out. OP3 is just such a great device and it cost A LOT less than other mentioned. Sticking with this for next few years.

I ordered my OP3 as soon as I saw the rumors about the Pixel pricing, definitely glad I did. Google done goofed really bad on this one. I'd love to buy the Pixel for the camera and software experience, but im not willing to pay more than $550 or so. I thought the 6P and 5X pricing was much more appropriate.
Price is too high for pixel with just little upgrade. It is difficult to switch into it. But Op is a bit scare me away. I have hardware problem with my Op3, raise support ticket but have been picked up for more than a week, still unable to get contacted with op. Need to find my next phone with higher community support.

I’m in a bit of a conundrum I’m split 60-40 pixel in favor over the V30 but there are some cool features on the V30 and the now availability that’s tempting. What are you guys thinking ?
Well I just got off the phone with Verizon and they're going to be shipping the phone soon is what I'm being told my order shipment should be here by the 19th of October. My original date was the 25th of October.

yeah how often are you going to sit and load 20 apps for 2 seconds and then come back to them after you cycled through. Samsung always does and will have their lag after 2 months.
No
Decided PIxel2XL it is. Many more advantages inmo and the updates Trump not having them
Same question but looking at the two I'm 70 v30 and 30 pixel. I really want the pixel but cannot get past how ugly it is. And it not really the ugliness of the phone per se but the screen and bezels. Went to Verizon today check compare back to back really love pure Google but bit is the LG more pleasant to look at.
i considered many phones this year
but the only device i ordered as soon as it announced is the pixel
why ?
simply updates
other devices are great but i know for a fact that most of them will not get updated
and even the one that does will take a very long time
Totally hung up on this one.
- I love the LG V30's design, feature set and size. The UI does not look so bad either.
- I also love pure Android and the fresh software updates that come from Google has always been my path since Samsung Nexus.
The $400 P-XL buy-back that Google offers is tempting and it puts the P2-XL in the same price range as the LG V30.
My current Pixel XL is 2 months old. It was a extended warranty replacement from my dying N6P.
Hmm...
Could I get $350-400 on Swappa for my P-XL then buy the LG V30? That would be awesome....
Or, don't do Swappa and buy P2-XL with the $400 buy-back?

Honestly after seeing the phone this afternoon I don’t see what the people are complaining about with the bezels. Is it as small as the V30 not exactly is it big and ugly like some say not even close. I think I’m keeping my preorder of the Pixel2XL and rocking it for a few weeks but I’m probably going to end up keeping it

I saw the exact opposite. I saw it today at Verizon and it put me at ease the bezels are fine. Are they as small as the V30 no but I rather have the speakers and software updates and better camera so pixel wins
I agree updates are a big plus but ever since 6.0 I feel like I can be content with one os. Will wait another month see if op 5t comes out or lg30 goes on sale since it's not selling.
Well that’s cool. You have the time to wait. I ordered my phone and it’s coming next week so I’m gonna ride it for a while. I’m sure I will like it. If not love it. At least till next year
Yeah i think once the "newness" of the v30 wears off you're gonna wish you had the Pixel. Sure the V30 looks good but you know the pixel is gonna be a beast 6 months to a year from now. I've never had an LG phone so dunno if they slow down like the Samsungs do

It's finally upgrade time, coming from a Lumia 930 after my OnePlus 3 have up the ghost after an impact.
Been looking at options and Pixel 2 XL is coming up at £31 a month with no upfront cost (for comparison Pixel 3 XL is around £60 per month)
Am I going to regret getting this or is it still a worthy upgrade today and for the next 2 years?
Are the reported issues actually issues or just people looking for problems?
Thank you for your time
It's still a great device with a few years of updates to come... Price is Right compared to 2018 flagships...
I had a note 8 for almost a year and a xiaomi mi 8. The Samsung was awesome and the s pen was useful but the pixel experience is so much better. Speed differences are not huge, I don't play too many games so it's fast enough for my needs.
The camera is awesome, no contest compared to current phones tbh and with only one lens.
The phone looks great (I have panda white) and I'd rather have this pixel instead of the latest as I'm fed up of all glass phones.
If you like ugly notches and having to pay $80 for a wireless charger to get full speed wireless charging because Google locked down the phone to use only their wireless charger, get the Pixel 3. Otherwise, get the Pixel 2.
UPDATE: Google backpedaled and said it will start certifying 3rd party wireless chargers. Those that are certified will be able to charge the phone at full speed. Still seems kind of stupid to me considering neither Apple nor Samsung have any such requirement for their wireless chargers, but it's not as dumb as locking them all out.
Still an awesome device by today's standards. Still super fast, will be updated for a while by Google, it will officially get most of the new Pixel 3 features, and unofficially the other features (thanks XDA).
Get it!
I just bought it after the pixel3 release. Couldn't be happier
Buy it. There's no way the 3 is worth another thirty quid a month, especially as many of the upgrades will eventually work on the 2XL. Mine's a year old (Panda white) and it's running like a dream. Best phone I've ever had.
I can see it running fine for the next two years. Unless apps really start increasing their demands on RAM and processor by a lot, it'll age fine.
That being said, I still go with getting a phone within 6 months of release to get the most of it in the long run. Only benefit of anything longer is price being lower so if you can get a great deal for a Pixel 2 XL, then sure go for it.

I'd look at the OnePlus 6T or possibly even the LG V40. The Pixel 2 XL is great, don't get me wrong, but the 2018 flagships are pulling ahead. I have a feeling with Android 10, the bar will be raised for specs needed for a smooth experience. If you don't run a lot of apps at once and aren't gaming, the Pixel 2 XL might be fine, but as software and apps get more advanced it may start to feel laggy over time.

After buying an LG G5, I would recommend LG phones only to my worst enemies. The UI looks fugly and isn't as smooth as Google's, it's full of bloatware, the LG apps are worse then the original GApps they replace, updates don't arrive each month and new Android releases take an eternity. Hell, the G5 got Android 8 only recently! On top the developer support gets worse and worse with each new model (if you can unlock the bootlaoder at all), so you hardly can escape LG's version of software hell on earth.
The OnePlus 6T is most likely miles ahead, but it's made of glass. And you need forked versions of the Google camera to shoot nice pictures.
My Pixel 2 XL has been running smooth over the last year, I haven't regretted that I bought it for one second, despite its steep price.
So if you don't want to spend the money for the new version, get a Pixel 2 XL. Or get a OnePlus 6T if you must have more RAM. But don't buy the LG V40, it may seem fine at first, but you'll regret it later on.
Everything up to the G5 and V20 was unreliable, though I've seen good things about the V30 and presumably the V40 as well. The Pixel 2 XL being made by LG shares a great deal in common. That said, it still does appear the OnePlus 6T is the best value for one's money. The aggressive sales on the V40 are tempting too ($200 off).
I just bought a pixel 2xl yesterday and quite frankly I saw no particular reason to go the 3xl route at this point in time. This phone is a beast.
^ yes, it's still a badboy! Welcome aboard
I would recommend a newer handset especially if you can wait for the OP6T. I'm moving from.my Pixel 2 XL to the Mate 20 Pro.

Just to have something newer, shinier or are there real reasons? I see no point except the slight blue tint of the display to upgrade this fantastic device.

There is a possibility that most Chinese phones have backdoors where the Chinese can hack then and get your info.... At least that is what I understand from what our government is telling us about chinesse produced Telecom equipment (not that I agree with it all...but just the fact that it could be a possibility is enough for me to want to stay away).

Exactly how I feel man. Pixel phones only for me.
What did people who switched from OnePlus to Pixels dislike about the OnePlus phones (aside from potential security holes for the Chinese government - I couldn't care less if they were spying on me).
I was considering trading my 3XL for the OP7Pro as that 90hz display looked amazing when playing with it in the store.

I don't worry about the whole Chinese government conspiracy theories. lol. I personally changed back because I love the pure android google experience, I don't like any slight change or deviation no matter how small. Oneplus isn't far from it but once you've used pure android (for me) nothing really ever compares. I even rooted and installed the pixel experience rom and it got me close but it wasn't the same coming from a pixel 2XL. Since I've switched I have no itch or thought to unlock my bootloader or want to flash anything. Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful phone but its not for me.
Lol, this has to be a joke right? Pixel 3 XL may lack more than 4GB ram, but it is far more superior device than oneplus will ever be.
Software experience and Camera is just galaxies away from oneplus. I personally would never ever consider oneplus over pixel devices, or any other android flagships. Oneplus is just getting too big headed.
They are charging $1000+ CAD. Way too overpriced.

There’s zero objectivity in your statements. A pixel 3 XL 128gb in Canada costs 1260 dollars so I’m not sure how the price is a factor here for what you get.
Plus I wouldn’t go as far as saying the pixel 3 is galaxies ahead in software and camera. The software is almost identical with tweaks baked in by OnePlus. The pixel takes better pics but that doesn’t mean OnePlus is horrible. You cant just pick and choose things to suit your bias. What about the screen , 855, ram, cooling, 3 focal camera lengths and larger battery lol
I was so close to selling my Pixel 3 XL, it's in amazing condition, not one scratch, and still has 8 month warranty...
BUT
I can't stand curved edges. The way I hold a phone, it would drive me crazy. Why in the world would they curve the edges? Crazy.

To be fair the OnePlus 7 pro is the newest generation and it still can't match the pixel for camera. But no point comparing until the pixel 4 .
This is the one phone that made me hesitant to get the Note10+. The Project Soli radar stuff and the likely incredible camera plus 90Hz display make that phone seem like it may be special.
But alas, I use my s-pen nonstop and adore it. So this will be the phone for me (eventually, when stupid Samsung ships it).
Got burnt by a canceled order with no real explanation from Samsung. Cannot order again or I will simply lose all the pre-order perks I was entitled to. May wait now for the pixel 4.
I bought the 3XL on release and there were many bugs in the beginning. Google really made me disappointed at first.
I suspect the face unlock feature won't be great and if the rumors are true there will be no wide angle and the design of the device looks kind of dated. 90Hz is great though but so is the s-pen.
If it turns out to be good I'll get one and switch between it and the 10+.
Nah. I'm here because I already made my purchase. I loved my OG Pixel XL, still can spot the photos in my Google drive by how awesome they were but at the same time there were too many quality issues and I hated dealing with their tech support.
And it was a boring experience for me.
You are a beta tester for Google and you pay the price to be. (Always been a Nexus/Pixel user) Everything you bought the Nexus for they took away with Pixel and slapped a bigger price tag on it. Only thing you get thats "better" than other Androids is the Camera but the GCam APK does a pretty good job at making up for it. You will have better hardware and honestly One UI isnt all that bad.
I ported the same GCam apk I ran on my N8 on my N10+ and the results are even better... Can't believe it works beautifully. I mainly use it for NightMode and Photo booth. I'm sure once they tweak the GCAm apk for the 10+ the margin of improvement will be even more pronounced. My 2..

Not a single hesitation or complaint from me. Love my N10+. When I had my Note 8, I bought a Pixel 2XL and loved it. For about 2 weeks. Then it was just boring, and I missed the SPen, and kept wishing it did the things my Note did. Finally sold it for a Note 9 and never looked back. With GCam, I have no need for a Pixel.
the google phones work ok, but they often miss features of the other third party manufacturers as they are just basic stripped down android.
as for the 90hz screen, for the average user unless you are using VR the difference will likely be negligible at best, you will need to find apps and things capable of pushing 90fps and not locked at 60fps as most apps will be built to support, you are also likely to see a massive increase in battery use as the device is having to generate and place 50% more frames on the screen and the Pixel device batteries have never exactly been top class to start with. so in theory if you are using VR and staying near a charger the 90hz is likely to be an increase if your VR apps support it, but for the most case you are likely to see a battery use increase for little real world improvement.
Nope I will have both, as long as pixel gets me excited!

How do you choose what phone you use any given day?
How do you afford that and get a theoretical spouse on board with that? ?
Ok you guys made me want to try gcam. Where and how do I install it? Does it need root?

Yes I have two lines. One was a free line from T-Mobile. It will become my daughter's line when she turns 12, but for now, it's my extra line. I use Google Voice, so switching back and forth is no biggie.
How I wound up with two phones: in the past I never bought brand new phones. I bought broke phones on eBay, fixed them, and sold them for a profit. I would save up that money and buy a phone, or just eventually keep one of the phones I fixed. I eventually worked my way up to a S7 Edge. Actually my wife and I both had S7 Edges.
Then when Samsung released the S8+, they had a buy one get one free deal. So I bought four of them. Kept two (one for me, one for my wife), sold the other two, plus my wife's S7 Edge. So our S8 Plues were basically free, and I was able to keep my S7 Edge as a backup phone.
When the Note 8 came out, I didn't immediately upgrade. But about 3 months after it was released, I snagged one off FB Marketplace for $400. Sold my S7 Edge for $225 and kept my S8+ as a backup.
Same for Note 9. Found a cheap one used, sold the S8+, kept the Note 8.
This is the first time in a few years I have been down to one phone. I sold my Note 8 for $400 and used that to buy a Galaxy Tab S4 for $400. (which I just sold today for $400, LOL). I traded my Note 9 in on my N10+, so it's also the first time in a couple years since I've had a brand new phone, and I'm preordering a Tab S6, too.
How do I get my wife on board? I upgrade her phone as well. And she knows I never pay full price for a phone. Each time I upgrade, it's usually for almost free or just a couple hundred bucks.
For example, because of me selling a phone, trading in a phone, getting some cash back on a credit card, my Note 10+ cost me $131 total. My Tab S6 will cost me about $108 total.
My wife's S10+ cost me $250. That S8+ I bought her brand new (which was basically free)...I sold it on FB Market place for $400. I then bought her a used S9+ for $400. When the S10+ was released, I traded her SO+ in for $550. And I had a $250 cash back offer on a credit card at the time too. It's all about moving money around, buying and selling, and looking for good deals.
People go with pixel for the camera ,and the early software update ...but rather than that ...Galaxy phones are better in any other way

None for note 10?
Dropping off my N10+ at UPS this morning. Phone didn't blow my tits off like I was hoping it would. Juice is not worth the squeeze on this one, IMO. Pixel 4 may do it for me but we'll see.

Phone was just released 2 days ago lol. Try the N8 or n9 versions. Same sensors.
