My lenovo Z2 plus's TWRP recovery crashes while installing any ROM , and the phone stucks at the boot logo and restarts automatically
I own a ZUk Z2 plus running on android 7 and suddenly it started to behave weird and auto restart on Zuk logo..Sometimes it comes on to pattern screen(Phone turns on and stays on pattern screen) and When I try to give the pattern and login it automatically shuts down or the booting screen comes up..with lot of effort I managed to go to settings and reset the phone..Since then it is only showing Zuk logo and turning off..
battery is fully charged and no issues with the battery.
I need some help in installing a custom rom and the possible ways to get it back to life.....I have intermediate knowledge of doing these things and with someone's help here I hope I can see it alive ...
Thanks in advance
Firstly, maybe it's just a hardware issue?
To my best knowledge, you may use "deep flash cable" or the test points to enter Qualcomm EDL (9008) mode, in that mode you can flash stock ROM with QPST/QFIL, or use the partition manager of QFIL to install TWRP to the recovery partition. After installing TWRP, any custom ROM should be available.
(Without unlocking the bootloader, TWRP etc was not supposed to boot - however Z2 won't refuse to boot a custom image like TWRP, only a warning screen will be shown on Z2)
In TWRP you may also check EMMC status: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-zuk-z2/help/z2-mlc-tlc-flash-to-estimate-lifetime-t4133705
My wife used a Lenovo P2a42. The phone has bootloader unlocked, she used either stock firmware or deodexed stock firmware ver. 244. A few days ago, she put a working phone in her bag, and when she took it out, all she saw was the startup logo. The phone was in this state for over an hour, it was reset by long pressing the POWER button. The phone now has a bootloop. Unable to enter Recovery, only fastboot is available. ADB is not working.
I tried to re-flash the firmware by the command line - the files upload correctly, but after the reset the phone still has a bootloop. I also uploaded the TWRP file both as recovery - everything is fine each time, but after rebooting the phone does not enter TWRP, but still has a bootloop. What's the problem? What else can I do or check? I have a full phone backup with TWRP, but cannot restart TWRP to recover my data. Maybe the partition format is incorrect or the memory is corrupted?
These problems r common in lenovo mobiles. try booting to download mode and install stock firmware using odin.
I can't boot into the ROM or the recovery menu or even the charging mode. I can only boot into fastboot menu which is how i can shut down the phone. When i try to boot into recovery or try to charge the phone when it's shut down, Lenovo logo appears and it says "Bootmode is recovery (or charger)". Is there any way I can fix the phone without losing data from the phone? Also I don't understand why it can't even boot into recovery or charging mode, do they have anything to do with ROM anyway?
I have the same issue, suddenly I had this, using this phone for years without an issue.
