My wife used a Lenovo P2a42. The phone has bootloader unlocked, she used either stock firmware or deodexed stock firmware ver. 244. A few days ago, she put a working phone in her bag, and when she took it out, all she saw was the startup logo. The phone was in this state for over an hour, it was reset by long pressing the POWER button. The phone now has a bootloop. Unable to enter Recovery, only fastboot is available. ADB is not working.
I tried to re-flash the firmware by the command line - the files upload correctly, but after the reset the phone still has a bootloop. I also uploaded the TWRP file both as recovery - everything is fine each time, but after rebooting the phone does not enter TWRP, but still has a bootloop. What's the problem? What else can I do or check? I have a full phone backup with TWRP, but cannot restart TWRP to recover my data. Maybe the partition format is incorrect or the memory is corrupted?
These problems r common in lenovo mobiles. try booting to download mode and install stock firmware using odin.

I was using PA rom for a few months and everything was fine until my gnex suddenly bootloop for no reason. Wasn't flashing a new rom, or tweaking anything. Phone just crash and when i try to reboot it, it just stuck in a bootloop. Showing google, then animation screen and afterwards reboot again back to google and animation and keeps repeating.
Phone info:
-rooted
-bootloader unlocked
-on custom rom (PA ROM)
Attempt to fix problem:
-flash a diff rom ( still boot loop )
-factory reset, wipe system cache etc. ( still boot loop )
-flash factory image 4.3 ( still boot loop ) [All is done through adb, manually flash each radio, bootloader, system etc one by one ]
-flash factory image 4.0 ( still boot loop )
So currently i'm on stock android, stock recovery, stock bootloader, stock baseband etc. But it is still bootlooping, anyone know what can i do?
ps, i did search through the forum, most people got pass this problem through flashing stock image, but mine doesn't
did you erase and then flash userdata?
Similar to my problem, hope it someone knows an answer.
Same problem!
Not to hijack your thread, but I'm having the same problem -
My phone was charging and working fine. I left the room and came back and the phone was stuck at the "Google" bootloader screen. I pulled the battery and reinserted. It went to the Cyanagen boot animation, then froze. Subsequent battery pulls resulted in it freezing at the Google screen.
I can not access recovery (power + vol up + vol down), but I can access the Odin download screen (power + vol down). Odin will connect to my phone, but I can't reflash the stock firmware. After attempting to flash the firmware my phone shows the phone-triangle-computer screen regardless of what buttons I push during start up. I can still connect to Odin, but can't reflash stock. I receive the "complete write failure" message each time. I've tried switching USB ports and USB cords without success.
Sprint SPH 700
Rooted with bootloader unlocked
Running Cyanagen ROM
Any tips? Do I need to reload the PIT file? Thank you!

I finally got thru the phone to pc fail screen by using a older version of Odin(3.04).Then the flash went thru w/o a hitch. Is your PC recognizing the Phone? If not the drivers may need to be uninstalled and reinstalled. I had to use the samsung usb cord and no other also.

Yup, my PC recognizes the phone. I can push partial tar files (for example, recovery only) to the phone just fine. I'll try a different version of Odin. Thanks!
Hi guys, I rooted a friends s3 to enable aws on it and it was working , yesterday she calls me and tells me that it is not working anymore. So I check it and notice there is no root access.
I try to install it using CFRoot . odin flashes fine , I see it running on the phone but once you boot in Supersu states it is not rooted.
Next tried a slew of programs, towelroot apk but nothing works.
Next tried to factory reset, boot in to twrp and I get asked for a password, hit cancel and I get in to the menu. I try to mount the sd card and it fails, trying to install zip from sd fails, factory reset seems to work, wipe data fails and ask for a decrypt code.
I also tried using CWM recovery with basically the same results.
THe last thing I tried was downloading the same firmware 4.4.2 and flashing with odin, it says successful but after rebooting, the phone is exactly the same, nothing changed , it has the same apps, same wallpaper.
I am wondering if my friend let her son play with the phone and turned on some kind of encryption or security that is stopping it from getting wiped back to stock.
Try flashing stock ROM again but uncheck everything except f reset time. When you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, wait 3 seconds, replace battery, use button combination to boot into recovery, factory wipe, reboot.
To root, flash twrp, then flash supersu.zip from recovery.
Download the latest tar version of TWRP from here: https://dl.twrp.me/d2att/
Download supersu from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
Save supersu to the phone's internal or memory.
When flashing TWRP in Odin, uncheck everything except f reset time. When you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, wait 3 seconds, replace battery, use button combination to boot into recovery, flash supersu.zip, reboot.
I just upgraded my rooted and bootloader unlocked Robin to Nougat last night by installing the official upgrade files from the Razer Community forum. I've tried installing TWRP several times through fastboot, and each time I can get the phone into recovery, but the phone will never boot into the system. It hangs on the black "Nextbit by Robin" screen, and never goes past it. If I turn off the phone by holding down the power and volume down buttons, and then turn it back on, it still won't get past that screen. I can always get into TWRP, though, but no matter what I do, the phone won't boot. I've been using TWRP 3.1.0. Is there a different version that's required for Nougat?

My guess is you messed up the boot.img, or worse you corrupted some partition. If it's the boot.img, go get the latest factory image, unzip it, and move the file 'boot.Img' onto where your adb and fastboot files are located. Then go into fastboot on your Robin, and run this command on your PC:
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
If you corrupted something, you basically need to go into fastboot and use the flash-all.bat in the already unzipped Robin_nougat_88 folder to bring your phone back bone stock.
Hope that helped
Had this issue with my phone at first, but eventually just fixed it anyway by flashing the decrypted boot.img.
I ended up fixing it the same way you did. No matter how many times I took it back to stock by flashing the files in the Robin_nougat_88 folder and then flashing TWRP, no matter which version of TWRP I used, it would never boot. I finally flashed TWRP, then booted back into recovery, wiped the phone, loaded and flashed the decrypted boot image and SuperSU, and then the phone booted fine. I should have just done that in the first place since it was always my intention to unencrpyt it and rooted it again, anyway.
/EDIT:
Alright, the thread can be closed. I somehow managed it.
In case someone faces the same issue, I used twrp to dd the sdf files back on the phone which stopped the reboots. After that, just wiped and formatted everything again and reinstalled the ROM.
Hello guys,
I hope you can help me with this issue since I've tried everything I know to fix this problem.
The plan:
Unlocking bootloader, installing TWRP and xiaomi.eu ROM on a new device.
Changing its IMEI with QPTS/QFIL afterwards.
What happened:
Unlocked successfully. Installed TWRP, xiaomi.eu ROM and Magisk.
After pulling the QCN backup and editing the file I pushed it back to the phone what seemed to work.
After rebooting, I noticed that the phone rebooted 5 seconds after showing me the "Enter PIN" screen.
Booted up again and the same thing happened.
I booted into TWRP, wiped and formatted "data", installed the ROM again. The phone started up normally and there was no reboot.
I went back to TWRP and flashed Magisk, the phone crashed again and everytime I boot it up, it immediately reboots after some seconds. Installing Magisk somehow triggers the phone to reboot on its own.
I thought to start over, flashed everything from stock using Mi Flash Tool and the newest China Rom.
After starting up the phone, the issue still exists. This time with this rom there is no difference between installing Magisk or not, the phone always reboots after showing up the miui welcome/setup screen.
Current situation:
The phone boots up Android, reboots after some seconds and goes into fastboot automatically. After the fastboot timeout it again reboots automatically, goes into the OS and crashes again and on and on.
No matter what I do, I can't keep the phone from rebooting.
And since I can't flash Magisk, I have no root.
This means that I can not use root to put the phone into diag mode to restore the original qcn file.
I have backups of the EFS partition and also sdf7/8/9/10 files. I just don't know how to restore them given the current situation.
Thank you very much in advance for your support!
Cheers
My telephone keeps booting to fastboot after trying to update TWRP.
I am trying to restore the original ROM (apollo_eea_global_images_V12.5.12.0.RJDEUXM_20220208.0000.00_11.0_eea) and I can get the rom installed through fastboot but the phone enters a boot loop cycle. It starts up, vibrates shortly then reboots.
If i press volume up it goes into the original recovery menu. I have tried clearing everything and even entering safe mode but the phone will not boot.
Am i screwed?
Thanks in advance.
I installed the Pixel Experience recovery and side-loaded the zip and at least have a working OS.
I must be doing something wrong with the stock mi10t
Now i sided the miui zip and its working agian. I think i have misunderstood the procedure. I thought you only need to install the rom with flashboot and that was it.
