Hello Gents,
I have Moto G5, all was working since i bought it, after two years from buying the battery went crazy recharge to 70% and stop charging
then while I use the phone the battery suddenly drop and drop sharply maybe from 50 to 10 and then turned off
after that I charged It and turned the mobile phone on, it turns on and reaches to the home screen and all is good, after while it turns off and restart
this happened too much so I decided to change the battery, after I bought new battery and put it into the phone, The phone turned on with no sound no speakers no Sim signals (once work and once not)
Wifi Works camera work but camera video no recording it works but when I click on record it makes no recording
also mic not working, and finally the phone restarts again and again
i made hard reset, and same problems, unlocked bootloader and flashed Linageos sim cards once work and once not, and the degree of restarting decreased a little bit, but still no sound no mic and same problems as I mentioned
so i flashed again the stock rom and also same problems and sim cards didn't work
I went to a technician he cant detect the error but he cleaned the speakers after cleaning he heard sound but for once, once the device restarted again there were no sound
and so on.
so please if someone could help
Yes I think I understand. You might have forgotten to get all reconnected, or secure at least. I had an issue where a screen replacement took away the quick gestures for torch, camera and left screen shot. Also during calls it was like it was on my ear and the screen was black until I ended the call using the power. Look at the mic on the bottom, as that's where most phone share a common point for connection I if it's like any other moto they just sit in there nothing to screw in except that plate over it

Hello guys ,
A few drops of water fell on the back of my phone when i was changing the battery . the phone ceased to boot at first. after that i dried up the phone overnight and it still dint work. I took it to the samsung service center and they could just clean up (Samsung India doesnt support Gnex) the parts.
Now my phone display is working inconsistently . it works perfectly fine for a while and then it goes of.
whenever i try to wake it using the power button , the display works for a fraction of a second and then turns off.
even thought the display is off the touch is working. I'm able to take pictures and unlock the phone when the display isnt working.
it receives messages and notification sounds are working.
once i tried to call the phone when the display wasn't working and the phone call suddenly brought the display to life.
Can anyone of u guess whats wrong and needs to be replaced?
since the display is working fine for sometime, i assume it maybe the problem with a connection somewhere which has become loose ?
The entire display and digitizer costs 190$ (doesn't include shipping to India which will cost a bomb), I'm not willing to spend that much since the new nexus's are almost here.
anyone ?? anything ??
Hi everybody, I've been googling and looking into all the posts (here in xda) I could related to my problem.
Currently I'm in Nepal, and bought a second hand One X International version; the unit was barely used with very minor wear signs. A couple of weeks ago I was driving on the road and it started pouring rain, made it home in about 5 mins. Phone did not appear to have gotten very wet, however I took the silicon case of and dried the screen with a piece of cloth. I forgot to turn the phone off and as everything seemed fine, I continued using it for the next couple of days.
Two weeks later I start getting complains from people I was on the phone with stating that they could barely hear me, but oddly enough at times they mic volume went up and all the sudden they could hear me crystal clear.
If I turn the phone into speaker mode then they can hear me, the same happens with headphones.
Tried getting rid of stock Sense (not sure what version I had, I know it was JB 4.1.1 and Sense 4+), flashed IceColdJelly 3.5.1
Also left the phone off in rice for about 2 days (it was too late to do it but tried it anyways)
My phone does not have warranty and I'm reluctant to send it into a Repair Center here as I've heard friends and their terrible experiences with them in here.
So I decided to open my phone to see if the MIC was clogged/dirty or something (plus I have the WiFi signal issue) but everything on the inside seems fine. The phone itself seems to have never been open.
The MIC still sounds muffled (no it is not completely dead), tried the stock android Sound Recorder and barely pics up my voice if I speak directly into it.
Could it be a software issue? If not, how can I test and know which MIC I need to buy???
Any help, tips or thoughts will be much appreciated!!!
P.S. I also tried doing a Factory Reset. Nothing changed
problem apparently solved
so last night I managed to restore the phone into it's original state with a nandroid backup. Haven't been able to fully check the issue properly because I did not put the phone back the bezel yet. But now volume in video recording is normal, and have been told that I can be heard on a call
Hello XDA members, this time I'm writing to all of you to tell you something that happened to my Optimus G E987 from Claro Argentina, also, to ask you something related to the topic.
I bought this phone about 4-5 months ago, and I have taken really good care of it, without using any film protection or case, it was working perfect and with not a single scratch on it, not even a little hit.
But then, some days ago, I decided to "protect it" a little bit, so I got one of this:

htt-p://i[dot]imgur.com/la1kI5e[dot]jpg
(Sorry, I'm new to this forum so it won't let me post links)
I used it like.. dunno, 3-4 days. One night, my phone was on 53% battery, to lazy to charge it so I just let it like that. Next day I gave it some use, so it dropped to 33% of battery life, I had to go work so I turned it off. When I finished, I tried to turn it on again, but nothing happened, tried more times and nothing, then I noticed I liiiitle light in the screen, the phone was turned on, but with REALLY low visibility, almost everything black but with a little of sight.
I though it was just a battery problem, so I charged it, but to my surprise, nothing happened, well something did happen, the little bit of sight that I had just went full black with no visibility. I noticed that the touch screen and buttons actually worked, I could "easily" navigate through the phone by just using it as normal, but without seeing (you can do this by just knowing your phone a bit).
And that's the story, basically, after using that case, the phone "casually" stopped working properly, all I got was a functionally phone with a black screen.
I managed to connect it to my pc through wifi and launched Android Screen Cast, to see what was happening on my phone. The glow was at 100% (I tried changing it) and everything seemed normal.
If you don't want to read, here is a TL;DR
>Bought Magnetic* Flip Stand Leather Wallet Case for Optimus G
>Some days after, phone screen stopped working (phone was still normally working, just with a full black screen)
About the Magnetic thing.. is there any possibility that this was the problem? the magnetic thing?
Btw, I sent the phone to tech service because it was still on warranty and they have me a new one, now I'm scared of putting it again in the leather case I bought, I don't want this to happen again.
Something to comment? hope you can give me some advice, thanks in advance!
Also having similar problems as you. Somehow, i am quite sure its the stock rom causing the problem.
Had the very same issue few weeks ago, had to send the phone back to LG ( who replaced the motherboard :/).
I was also on stock rom, had root and unlock bootloader (of course I clean all that **** before sending it back).
For my part, I was unable to go to recovery and download mode was quit impossible to access (may be my finger fault )
BUT! some time if I let the phone off for a moment or spam the power key, the backlight turn back on until I power down the phone, so it's could be a software issue ...
Anyway, an other info, when the backlight was off, if i tried to change backlight level i was getting a error message about overeating or something like that...
Hello,
I just opened my phone to change the charging port with a new one because the old one was so loose that charging the phone was a pain in the butt. And after months of waiting I finally decided to teardown my phone just like in one youtube video. I took a lot of risk and time and did everything the way I was supposed to do and I had a success! The phone booted up everything was working as normal and this usb charging port was just like a new. But sadly I started receiving SMS messages because my phone had been turned off for some time and didn't hear any sound. Most of the times it is on a vibration mode but this time it wasn't. The only thing I could hear was a little tapping noise that you can hear only once before the sound goes on and that's it. There's a vibration jsut as usual there's just no sound and it definitely is a hardware problem because I have it on my phone and also can hear the person talking through the front speaker but the bottom one is definitely not working and I have no idea why when I made everything like it was supposed to be (I guess). What do you think happened and should I open it and tear it down again? Even if I open it what am I supposed to do?
Thank you
I purchased a used Sony ZL c6506. The ZL would not boot, it would only show a steady red LED when connected to a charger. I figured out that it is likely a battery problem as the person who sold me the phone told me he was using it as a GPS when the battery drained and the phone turned off. He tried charging it and it would not charge or boot.
I replaced the battery and it booted. I upgraded from 5.02 to 5.1.1 as a test to make sure the wi-fi was working. The upgrade installed and it was running stock 5.1.1 (10.7.a.0.222). I did a factory reset from the ROM settings to clear out the previous owner's data and apps. After setting up the phone, I went to change the volume for alarm and ringtone. As I moved the volume slider around, there was no sound from the external speaker. Rear speaker doesn't work in safe mode either. Headphone jacks work properly and, when I remove the headphone plug from the phone jack while playing a song, the song pauses until I press the play button to resume playback. No matter what I do, I can't hear anything from the external rear speaker.
I took the phone apart a few times and everything looks okay. I even connected a tiny speaker and connected it directly the what I think are the speaker connections on the phone and still nothing, even when booting with boot sounds enabled in the ROM settings.
Given everything I have described, should I buy a replacement loudspeaker piece for the phone or am I just wasting my money?
Any troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
Decided to buy a replacement buzzer. Hopefully, the replacement will fix the issue; otherwise, I will have to use the phone as a media player

The speaker have a screw that needs to be tight correctly to work. here is a video on wich screw I am talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yADs4OsAXg
Got the replacement speaker and still no sound from the phone. Everything works perfectly (vibration, headphones, wifi, bluetooth, etc.) except sounds. Factory reset a couple of times and nothing.
Time to move on from this issue. Parts are too expensive to keep trying to repair it so now I have a nice media player
i had the issue with battery and speaker...turns out the battery issue is common with zl..
solution for battery:remove the battery connection to board and reconnect it...(this happens alot to me especially when im using camera)
solution for speaker: the screw on the speaker loosens for some reason and results in disconnection....i used a piece of paper to hold it tight from back
hope this helps for u
