That is probably because the Add New Device option is not yet available in that forum. It has been taken up with the Admins thanks to @Oswald Boelcke.

ah that explains the F4 device search failure... group admins have mis-named the F4 device as "Samsung Z Phone 4" (sic!) In add device page

Galaxy S20 FE 5G Snapdragon version- EU region

Dear All,
I have created this thread because it is perfect to have Snapdragon 865 processor on the Samsung so called "flagship" phone here in Europe.
Also with this Snapdragon chipset for EU market we have also warranty and service, because the phone is designated for our region.
Feel free to comment, add home screen screenshots or post issues or feedbacks about this phone.
Also, you can add on this thread any useful information about any OneUI 3.0 beta or Android 11 Beta for this device.
Thanks and cheers.
i just placed the order for S20 FE 5g Mystic White Snapdragon 865 with 6GB RAM.
And I am returning the Note20Ultra Exynos 990 model because i get no more than 4hrs SoT no matter what i do.
I chosed the performance and battery instead of S-Pen.
Cheers

from the consumer point of view, maybe Samsung will hear us saying the following:
make Fan Edition to every flasgship which they will launch from now on
launch this Fan Edition variant along with the flagship series, no later
make the Fan Edition with the Snapdragon for 5G regions includin Europe, as they did with the S20 FE
add by default 8GB RAM and 128GB space along with eSIM
also every Fan Edition version to have flat screen
How is the battery on the 5G/865 version?
4h30m SoT with 38% battery remaining, at first charge since out of the box and counting. so happy
still learning pattern.
S20FE Snapdragon 865 version EU.
Question to those with the 865 EU version, do you have automatic call recording option built in?

That's really weird because the S20 line has call recording on the EU variants... Why did they remove it for the FE?

Here you go, its a list i collected from several places, credits go to them whoever deserve it (been a while to remember where it came from).
i have used this on my Galaxy s10e and S20 FE 5G, all with no problems
removes all google stuff while keeping play store intact
removes all samsung stuff while keeping Samsung DeX intact
removes some additional stuff like facebook/spotify/netflix etc etc
the [DEBLOAT] ofc does the debloating
the [BLOAT] restores everything again

That is not true.
Here in germany no newer Samsung device has the call recording option as it is illegal here to record calls without permission of the other side.
It can only be enabled with a CSC change to INS.

Good choice and Samsung galaxy A32 is a really good smartphone with all its specs. I think the camera section and the Helio G80 chipset are the best.
seems like the galaxy a32 has good performance because of the 8GB RAM and the helio G80 processor it carries

Wow. People seem to be really satisfied with the device and this is a proof that the Mediatek gaming chipset is working really well in the smartphone.
As a photographer, I am always on the lookout for smartphones with really good cameras but which aren’t too pricey. The Galaxy A32 comes with the Helio G80 processor meets those requirements.

Hello guys, I need to change my phone and I was thinking in this model. Here in Argentina they only sell the 4G model with 4 Gb RAM. It seems the camera is pretty good although the camera app unfortunately lacks several features that other phones bring for more control. But I've been watching some videos on YouTube and most of them say that the sound is pretty bad and low. I know it's mono, but a youtuber compared it live to a Moto G30 and the difference was truly overwhelming. Has anyone here heard it first hand? Could you share more information in that regard? Thank you very much in advance!

According to the link you shared, Its less likely that this feature will be ported to old samsung devices due to limitation in the sensor.

Device Inventory Manufacturer Not Specified

My apologies if this has been addressed in the past but I did search and search quite a bit, not only on major search engines but XDA as well and could not find any mention of this.
For the device inventory settings, when adding a device I've noticed many of the newer devices linked to their respective forums have the Manufacturer input as Not Specified
Yet the older device forums appear to consistently have that correctly filled with whichever company manufactured them.
For the Motorola forums this is pretty evident as nearly all of the newer releases have an unspecified manufacturer, my guess is the XDA forum migration may be the reason that process fell apart.
It's clearly no top of the list issue given the more pressing things needing to be addressed but since I found no way for users to submit or edit this tiny bit of device detail, I presume it's left either to forum moderators or XDA admins.
Anyway, please excuse my obsessive compulsion for maintaining complete and accurate lists.
This for instance?

Yes. Precisely this. And it's even more baffling to see as in your screenshot both the S21 and FE have it populated correctly but not the S21+ and Ultra? All but one came out the same month this year so there goes my assumption that it was a forum migration issue. It seems more likely due to whomever creates the device forum at the time isn't filling out that particular text field on the form. I'm completely clueless on that end of things.

Alright, on to the list. These will be primarily Motorola devices. Is it enough to simply list the device as on the list or would it be easier to have a link to it? There is at least some comfort in that these are mostly huge lists now and won't be a common or frequent task, I'd hope.

A note on that last one, the X Style Pure. its got two listings in the device list, but the one that has the manufacturer info and graphic correctly filled in doesn't link to the device forum, as in it has no live link at all. Yet the other listing which clicks through to the device forum doesn't contain the mfc. info or the graphic.

Thank you, guys. Here I thought this thread would wind up buried with little to no action... Damn glad I was wrong! Special tip o' the hat to @woodman for directing this issue to the appropriate person, and @MikeChannon for your swift response.
Alright, on to the list. These will be primarily Motorola devices. Is it enough to simply list the device as on the list or would it be easier to have a link to it? There is at least some comfort in that these are mostly huge lists now and won't be a common or frequent task, I'd hope.

Thanks a lot @MikeChannon !
This is OK for OnePlus
But this one is still not specified for Samsung: https://forum.xda-developers.com/c/samsung-galaxy-s10e.8763/

Yes. That is what this thread is about.
Hi @MikeChannon,
hopefully this thread still functions as to request changes to the "Device Inventory" and your kind support.
The older "Samsung Galaxy S2" or "SII" (with several XDA forums) can be found two times as 1. "i9100" (add_device_id=61) without "Samsung" as manufacturer and as 2. "Samsung Galaxy S II" (add_device_id=60).
And I stumbled upon a strange error (" Oops! We broke the matrix. Someone call Neo! ") while adding a "Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra":
Adding a "Samsung Galaxy S20" via the search device link works. It is "add_device_id=1135", but I want to add "Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra". The Ultra seems to be add_device_id=1136 (As device search link "+ Add device to inventory" contains.), which surprisingly does not work.
Could it be that, if a specific device (see "Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra" or "Samsung Galaxy S II" above) is not (already) linked to a XDA forum, it will fail to be added to device inventory?
Thank you for your support.

Hi
Well the older devices werte a bit of a nightmare to add to the device inventory as there were so many variations, carriers etc. Not to mention that the device inventory is a custom add-on to our XenForo forum software and as a consequence isn't always easy to work with. For that reason I'm reluctant to change anything with the S2 / SII forums/device inventory.
For the much newer S20 Ultra what happened there is that originally there were separate forums for the S20 /\Ultra and plus versions. As these shared software it was decided to roll the forums together but clearly the device IDs were not merged.
Hopefully you can now add the Ultra version.
Mike
Hi @MikeChannon,
thank you. Yes, I now have just the whole device family (i.e. "Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra") in my inventory. Obviously, I initially didn't catch, that it is less a detailed device specification but a convient link to the related XDA forums.
As a small final cleanup, the single still existing "Samsung Galaxy S20+" would now also need its merger into the above mentioned device family/forum.
Thank you for your longstanding support.

Yes it's more just a linking to the forum (if we have one) sort of thing. It's certainly not perfect as it does not allow adding devices for which we don't have a forum.
I removed the old broken link to the Samsung Galaxy S20+ so it can be added now but only as the group of: S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra

Question Xiaomi and eSim

I have a Poco F3 but this is a Xiaomi general post. I have had many Xiaomi phones (mainly Poco and Redmi notes) over the years.
I have just recently discovered about eSim which would be very useful when I visit my property abroad - my phone does not support this technology, but saying that, no Xiaomi phone does. why is this? A few other manufacturers support it: Apple, Samsung and google to name a few. I have tried to raise this in mi forum, but answers are promptly deleted.
Another thing that I find a bit annoying id that apple phones support 20 eSim profiles but android only support 1. why is this also?
I don't really want to be forced to buy a phone from a manufacturer I don't want to buy from.
Does anyone know answers? I would be grateful.

other manufacturers just recently started adopting esim feature. mainly on flagship devices.
I think we can expect more xiaomi devices to support in the next year.

Apple for 4 years.
Google for 3 years.
Motorola for 2 years.
huawei for 2 years.
Samsung for 2 years.
Oppo for 10 months.
Sony for 4 months.
Certainly not on all models but Xiaomi is late.

Maybe you need the Sim but the 12t pro is not the successor of the 12 pro.
A larger capacity battery and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 with a 200MP camera without Optical Zoom but that's where it ends.
Aluminum alloy vs Plastic
Amoled •Samsung E5 vs Amoled
WQHD+ 1440 x 3200px vs FHD+ 1220 x 2712px
521 Pixels per inch vs 446 Pixels per inch
Corning Gorilla Glass 7 Victus vs. Corning Gorilla Glass 5
front camera 32 MP vs 20 MP
and many other non-existent functions compared to the 12 pro.
For £68 difference but ok without Esim.

what do you mean by late. do you need esim by tomorrow?
I would prefer to have esim instead of phyisical sim right now, but I can wait.

For a manufacturer that is in the top 3 of world sales, no Esim, whereas Apple and Google, for example, have already had it for several years.

I completely agree with you on this. But it is not much neccessary to support esim at the moment.
Also many network providers just recently started to support esim on a larger scale.
Where I am from, just month ago my network provider started supporting esim.
