Try and see if you find anything here: https://i.mi.com/
It might have a Recycle Bin, where you can restore the backup perhaps...
I once deleted contacts by accident, but on the website saw that I only moved them to trash, and I was able to restore them.
Last thing I'd want to do is have a back up in a China base cloud

Now I already know what I did wrong. I'll explain what happened.
I was stock rooted before and flashed LiquidSmooth RC2 4.2.2 (first ROM I ever flashed, go figure). I thought I had backed up all my data. I synced Titanium to dropbox, moved my backup to my external SD, kept a copy on my computer, and created a nandroid through TWRP as well. Now I thought I had done my research, newbie little me went and backed up through Titanium but ONLY apps and data, I didn't know I had to also back up my contacts/sms/mms through the XML otherwise they wouldn't transfer. I did a little more research and found I can restore contacts through a nandroid backup by restoring Contacts Storage, well I gave a go at that and I got an error that said "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped working" over and over again so to fix that problem I cleared the data for that app and it stopped. However, my problem still remains that I do not have my contacts. I'm actually really mad because I was convinced I did my research and backed up my phone to a comfortable point to flash for my very first time, at least I didn't brick my phone!
MAIN QUESTION: How do I retrieve my contacts with only a nandroid back up and preferably not using the nandroid to revert to stock and then reflashing LiquidSmooth? I also have my titanium backup files.
Edit: I do know how to send a logcat and use ADB(minimally) if that helps. Also, oddly enough I retrieved my call log and my sms/mms but the only thing eluding me is my contacts which is what I want more than both of those combined
Re: Lost contacts after flashing LiquidSmooth
In the time you wrote this and have been waiting, you couldve made a nandroid of Liquidsmooth, restored your stock backup, exported the CSV of your contacts, and finally restored to LiquidSmooth and imported your contacts CSV
To avoid stuff like this, I created one google account exclusively for my contacts, separate from my personal and work emails. This way you only sync contacts between your phone and that one and all the junk stays somewhat organized haha

^^^ That, and only that.
Also. You can use My Backup root to backup mms/sms/contacts/call log. That's what I do.

Well it'll contain the same info, just in a different format that the Contacts app can import and export

Nope, when you restore a backup (this is the only exception) you dont need to wipe anything

Awesome thanks so much! One more question, I found an app called super backup does that work just as well or should I use my backup root? Can't I also just restore to stock rooted and use titanium to get the XML then restore back?

Uhhh....I dont use either, but i would advise you to use My Backup root as you know thats its worked for someone else with this same device
EDIT: Just saw your edit, and I guess you could, but would you be able to restore that with TB when you're back on LS? I ask because I dont use TB very much, and not for my contacts at all. But if you can, then go for it! You just wouldnt be able to restore it with any other app because its most likely, even though it would still be an XML, stored in a different order or in a different way that is specific to how TB parses it

Yeah but I dont think he syncs his contacts with a google account to begin with
Hello I have a Galaxy Note 2 for T-mobile. I was in the application manager playing around with a couple stuff and I accidentally deleted the Phone application instead of force stop/clearing the data. So I downloaded different dialers and contact applications so I could avoid the factory reset.
With the new dialer/contact program, I no longer had the pictures for my contacts, I didn't even have an option to save contacts/send contacts.
So I went ahead and rooted it so I could set up a backup just in case I were to screw this up even more than I could have. So I created a backup about 5 times. I then factory reset the phone thinking I would get my Phone application back and then I could restore it and get my features back.....
Well it doesn't. so I was able to restore it from the backup and it brought me back to the first step where I had all my contacts, no phone options. Sooooo... I decided to put on a new rom and I downloaded the MyROM thinking it would bring the phone option back and in case it didn't, I was going to just restore it again.
I put the Myrom on there and the phone application came back, but I realized I had forgot to save my contacts. I thought to myself it shouldn't be too much of a problem since I had the backup file saved 5 times for safety. Well.. it won't let me restore it anymore. It keeps saying
" Error while restoring /system "
so I looked around online and they said to update CWM and try. Still doesn't work.
unroot it and try reroot. - still doesn't work.
So I just ordered a new note 2 through warranty. I have tried unrooting/rerooting minimum 40 times. it still won't restore from backup.
If I could just restore that backup so I can see my contacts... sigh.. am I doomed?
I am on 4.1.2 android btw.
I tried to restore backups from google as well btw.. it only brings back like 20 of them back....
Thanks for your time and sorry for the essay.
Your contracts should be backed up to Google.
CARBON NIGHTLIES | KROZ THEMES | CABIN FEVER MAPLE WHISKY
You can no delete system apps in the application manager.Maybe you disabled.factory reset &Odin the stock rom that will fix ur phone

I'm so lost, first why did you order a warranty phone, did tmo and Samsung do this? Maybe it's their fault some how?
Anyways it seems like you didn't have contacts saved to Google, but just to your phone. You could try an advanced restore in cwm and only restore data, that may work

Ronnieruff: Only 20 of my contacts are backed up in google. I already tried restoring from there
deeznuts1977, Believe it or not, the I was able to delete it. I didn't believe it at first as well. But there was no way to open the system phone application after I deleted it. It was removed from the application manager as a whole... Since the phone system app is gone as well, I'm assuming that;s why I couldn't export to my SD card, nor could I save pictures for contacts. Or send via bluetooth as well. I reset and odined the phone already./ I cant restore my nandroid backup which is where all my contacts were at.
kintwofan I ordered a phone through warranty hoping I could restore the backup from that phone, since I put the backup on an external SD card.
When I press restore data, I thought it normally said restore complete blah blah, and press reboot system now, and it'll reboot right? However after I press restore data it just restarts the phone and I'm stuck on the Galaxy Note 2 bootloader screen... I have to reflash odin to get it to boot..
Hi everyone,
I've got a LG G4 lately and changed it to another one because of a problem, so I backed up my files in the older phone.
When I got the new one I tried to restore my files and it showed that I have 619mb backed up but it only restored 18mb (contacts and call history).
I tried to connect to the LG Cloud by computer but it says that my account doesn't exist (I logged in by google+).
Can someone help me please? I had important filed on the device!
(Sorry for my poor english )

Yes, unfortunately, I thought the build in LG Cloud will be the best. Bad mistake.

Have you downloaded the LG Cloud app from Google Play? Maybe it'll allow you to download the backup files locally and restore them.
Edit: this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lge.lgcloud.nscreen
Edit 2: I tried and that is not possible... Hmmm I'll think of other ideas.

I have the same issue. Backed up using the cloud (logged in using my google account on the phone), and backups have all disappeared after restore. All data is gone.
Yup, tried Lineage, went back to stock, LG Backup says there's no backup even though I can see it on Google Drive. Google Drive doesn't let you see inside backups...only list them or delete them...****ed.
I accidentally deleted my some important photos from my device and I also factory reset my phone..Now is there any way to get back my photos? My phone is not rooted. I have tried some apps like wondershare, phone lab. But I failed. Please help me
There are some special tools like for example "MobiSaver" from EaseUS, but chances to successfully restore most or even some data are rather low.
Edit: I wouldn't recommend any of them, MobiSaver just was an example. IMHO most paid recovery apps are just pure scam.

I wouldn't recommend apps from Wondershare to anybody, they are often labeled as scam company on the net. Most of those recovery tools are kinda scam, their free test versions always find lots of data to recover, but the paid apps won't recover anything or produce lots of garbage.
Edit: Always make backups at least once a week of important pictures and documents!
I have accidentally deleted my photos from internal storage and I want to recover them. Which is the best way to do it so?
Extra question: If i root my phone, will the photos be gone forever I guess, right?
How to recover data after factory reset ?
I have recently done a factory reset on vivo v15. It contained so many important gallery photos on it. Can anyone recommend me a way to restore data on vivo v15 ? I have tried so many tools but none of them worked for me. Please help me thank...

If you can't find them in your trash bin, the only way is using pro data recovery software. But before that, you need to make sure they are not overwritten by new data.
