Hi everyone,
I've got a LG G4 lately and changed it to another one because of a problem, so I backed up my files in the older phone.
When I got the new one I tried to restore my files and it showed that I have 619mb backed up but it only restored 18mb (contacts and call history).
I tried to connect to the LG Cloud by computer but it says that my account doesn't exist (I logged in by google+).
Can someone help me please? I had important filed on the device!
(Sorry for my poor english )
Yoni
This backup is on the cloud only?

Yes, unfortunately, I thought the build in LG Cloud will be the best. Bad mistake.

Have you downloaded the LG Cloud app from Google Play? Maybe it'll allow you to download the backup files locally and restore them.
Edit: this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lge.lgcloud.nscreen
Edit 2: I tried and that is not possible... Hmmm I'll think of other ideas.

I have the same issue. Backed up using the cloud (logged in using my google account on the phone), and backups have all disappeared after restore. All data is gone.
Yup, tried Lineage, went back to stock, LG Backup says there's no backup even though I can see it on Google Drive. Google Drive doesn't let you see inside backups...only list them or delete them...****ed.

I have an Original Droid, with all the apps and data on it. I'll be buying a GNex when they come out. What is the procedure for transferring all the apps from my Droid to the Nexus? I have TI and MyBackup installed and the Droid is already rooted (no special ROM). Is it just a matter of backing up the apps and data to the SD card and transferring that to the Nexus, downloading the backup app and restoring it? Seems a little simple that way... Maybe I'm trying to make this more complicated than it should be, but better to ask the more experienced among us, than screw up all my data.....
Thanks in advance...
Im sure both apps have to be updated to support ics first before you can do that, but yes that pretty much what you have to do.

It appears the Galaxy Nexus has no SD card, so transfer from SD to PC/Mac to internal storage may be needed - ? -

I took it as him meaning backing it up on the sd card to a CPU, then to the phone. But yeah
What I do when transferring phones is just make a list if the apps I want to keep, then I'll redownload them

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wont your apps all download as soon as you sign in with your google account?

Sure, if you don't mind losing any app data. Saved logins, etc.
Titanium Backup has dropbox support. I've never tried it other than uploading all the backups, but it seems like you can download TB on the Nexus, hook up dropbox and have it download all your apps, which you can then restore.
I plan on trying this, since there are a few programs with data that I don't want to lose (car maintenance, pilot logbook, etc.)

Let us know how that works out for you...
Ti Backup has dropbox support. Back apps+data up to your dropbox, then restore from dropbox on your Nexus.
I've done it many times, works flawlessly.
I went a little too far with removing some of the default LG apps after rooting and I'm getting odd issues now. I'd like to reinstall apps vs. reimage the stock setup if possible.
Does anyone know where I can grab all the stock apps for the G4?
If you install LG Smartworld, you can download all the LG apps again.
it's also accessible here: http://www.lgappstv.com/
Thanks for the suggestion but it looks like the applications I need aren't in this store. So far it looks like I need to reinstall LG Lifetracker, LG Backup and LG Air drive.

There is somewhere you can download them. I thought it was that app. it must be another LG app somewhere, because I had to use it to download and install the FM Radio app.
Found it!
Settings - About Phone - Update Centre - Software Update.
Your missing apps are in there for download
It claims all apps are installed. I wonder if I didn't fully delete the apps with Tibu so it thinks I still have them.

Why don't you just reapply the rooted system.IMG you used while rooting. That will give you all your apps back
I tried that and it didn't for whatever reason.

I almost wonder if perhaps you had frozen the apps at some point prior to uninstalling them cause if you did, when you reinstall stuff tibu would pick up that you want them frozen and they would be gone again. Flashing the system installs all the crap that's included in stock so this is the only logical reason I can think of that would be causing your issue

I have the LGUSMms.apk installed, I see it in folders, in app drawer, but when I click it, it says app not installed, won't open. I redid the rooted image, still the same. Any ideas?

Okay...so, here's the rundown: Moved from a G2 to a G3 and used the built-in LG Backup to backup the photos, videos, apps and personal data. It created a 5GB file. When I restored on the G3, it only restored the photos and Instagram videos and would only do 2.9GB. I'm missing 2.1GB of data and some of it is incredibly important. I can't use LG PC Suite because they're both running Lollipop. I can't use LG Bridge because it says the G2 and G3 are incompatible and to use PC Suite.
How the hell do I get the missing apps and data?
I not sure if I am remembering this right but I think LG is no longer supporting backup (Please correct me if I'm wrong). If so that days may be lost.
Also, have you made sure that all data is selected for restore? Have you tried to restore individual files? Lastly Titanium backup should work across platforms... Though that won't help except for future backups. Good luck.

Hey, is there a way to restore my messages from google drive?
I uploaded backup, made an update and I can't restore it becouse "device is not active" -_-.
The only thing that is different is software version.

Yes, it is possible to restore your messages from Google Drive if you have previously backed them up. If you're receiving a message saying that your device is not active, here are a few things you can try:
1. Make sure your phone is properly connected to the internet
2. Try logging out of your Google account and logging back in
3. Check if you are using the same Google account that you backed up your messages with
4. Try restarting your phone and then attempting to restore your messages
5. Check if you have given necessary permissions to the app to access your Google Drive backup
If none of the above works and you are still unable to restore your messages from Google Drive, try contacting Google support for further assistance.

The only way is to factory reset phone and go through setup again. Been there too many times.... Once you are finally rooted, I would use SwiftBackup app to backup and restore apps, app data, sms and call data
