I have rooted my phone and was using greenify. I also greenified play services and so play store stopped working. So I uninstalled every google service/app.
How can I restore the stock play store and google services that came with phone? They are stored somewhere inside the phone I guess.

Download micro Gapps according to your phone's Android version and specifications.
Flash the downloaded zip using recovery and The problem is solved.
Thanks
@ai.Sanual Can I flash pico gapps for play store only? I just need google play store to install and update apps.

As it said failed to set-up open Gapps, there may be problem with TWRP. Please use latest TWRP recovery compatible with your phone and also confirm that you downloaded right zip file for your phone.
Drop Your Phone's specs so I can give you correct links.

pico zip is correct but use this version of TWRP here
Also first root your phone by install Magisk v23 zip and then install the Magisk v23 apk file manually. (files attached below)
Then flash gapps zip, you can unroot after installation of gapps zip by tapping uninstall button in Magisk apk you installed before.

I have already rooted through supersu. Should I unroot first or can I directly install magisk? I didn;t get it though why magisk is required. Gapps can be flashed directly using TWRP, no?
I got these errors and super su also is not working now.
even flashing super su is also not working now. I only need to restore boot partition. System partition I don't want to change. Is it at all possible?
Where can I get the stock boot partition? Will my smartphone start if I restore only stock boot partition without restoring stock system partition?

This is what I did and the ROM works great for me:
* download the zip and copy it into the SD card (I didn't unzip it and put the result in the TWRP/ Backups folder - it would've taken me 4ever)
* I downloaded the gapps 442 - and copy it to the SD card
* I copied the SU binary zip in the SD card (just in case)
I 've rebooted my phone into the Recovery (TWRP 2.8.0.1) did the wipe (advanced) -(wipe: dalvik cache, system, data, cache, custom storage) and then added those 3 packages to the installer
The installation ran smoothly an this new ROM works great (no issues so far) - although I didn't notice any improvement from the B704 (battery, CPU wise). I will keep testing it - again so far so good."

I dont know how he did it, but you can't flash the zip of a backup, neither can you restore a zip of a backup - the only way seems to me that you have to extract the zip into twrp/backups folder

Could you pass me the ROM link?
Thank you for the port, awesome job!
In my opinion it needs some improvements, like in sound, we lost quality, and maximum volume in respect to stock one.
Also the notification bar gets a small black bar in the top, stock one was using all the edges.
And maybe a little hand in some animations that runs randomly not smooth.
Apart from that, i think its a really good and stable ROM.
Any ideas in how to safely root, and maybe add it Viper4Android or some audio lib?

Custom ROM based on Stock firmware RPDS31.Q4U-39-26-4-2
This custom ROM uses stock kernel without modification. The source for the stock kernel is not released by the OEM.
Preliminary requirements:
- Unlocked bootloader.
- New and Clean Stock firmware is required!
- TWRP installed;
- Micro SDCard or USB flash drive should be formatted to exFAT.
What's done:
- Removed the restriction on writing to the system, which in Android 10 is in Read Only (r/o) mode by default, which eliminates the possibility of modifying it. In this firmware it is possible to mount the system in Read Write (r/w) mode. Encryption is preserved in this case.
- System passes SafetyNet test, device is certified (in Magisk settings activate "Magisk Hide" function, in "Magisk Hide" tab give permission for Google Play Services, perform Google Play reset);
- Cleaned and lightened the system;
- Built in additional system color accents;
- Built in and updated to the latest versions at the time of firmware and Apps release . YouTube removed, because I use YouTube Vanced;
- Installed apps AdAway ad blocker, Command Center 2;
- Ringtones, notifications, alarms sounds have been replaced.
🛠 Installation:
1. Extract the system image from the archive (see tab "Download") and copy it to the SD Card.
Also copy the "Magisk Installer" archive Magisk-disable-dm-verity-v21.4.zip in to the SD Card.
2. Reboot the device into bootloader mode and then into TWRP.
3. Installing the ROM image. In the "Install" tab in the lower right corner, click the "Install img" button and select the firmware image. A window will open, where you will need to select the "Super" partition. "Swipe to confirm".
4. Go to the "Reboot" section and reboot the device back to Recovery.
5. Go to "Wipe" and do a "Swipe to Factory Reset ".
6. Install "Magisk-disable-dm-verity-v21.4.zip". Reboot in to the System.
7. When the boot is complete make the initial settings.
8. Launch the "Magisk Manager" app and update it. You will be asked to configure the work environment. Agree. Phone will automatically reboot itself when setup is done.
Download
Edge_R_Pure_Edition_02-1
Edge_Q_Pure_Edition_nowrz_04-2
Advanced
YouTube Vanced v.14.21.54 Black Magisk
Proven, absolutely trouble-free version of YouTube Vanced.
To prevent in Play Market from updating in to the stock YouTube app, you need to add empty file with the name "enable_detach" (without extension) into the folder "/cache" (at the root of file system) using RootExplorer and rebooting your phone. One minute after the reboot, the application will unbind from the Market.
Enjoy!

Upgraded Edge Pure Edition!
- created an image in a different format which reduced its size by 6 GB;
- full mount of system in r/w and r/o, allowing the system to boot up fully if you forget to put the system in r/o after making edits to the system partitions;
- updated GApps to the base of 27/02/21.
I'm not sure if you actually know the rules but wrz are not allowed
Upgraded Edge Pure Edition!
- updated ROM to the latest versions of stock firmware QPD30.114-80-4 (09 March 2021) ;
- updated GApps to the base of 12/03/21.
Upgraded Edge Pure Edition!
- Chrome bug fixed
Updated the ROM to a version based on Android 11(R).
Anyone using this daily?
I use. Why can't this ROM be used as the main firmware?
Hi, I tried installing the android 11 version of this from after clean restoring to stock. I installed the .img to the super partition and the phone wont boot. I get the "unable to open block device /dev/block/loop (20, 19, 18, 17): no such device or address. Any help? Thanks
Have you fully read and followed all the points in the instructions? Have you installed Magisk?
To install Edge_R_Pure_Edition, the firmware RPD31.Q4U-39-26-4, Android 11, must be installed on the device.

Ahh thank you, I was trying to install on the Android 10 base. Thanks!
what is the difference between r and q? android 10 and 11 i assume?
also ive been out of the rom loop for quite a while (lg g8, just got unlock like a month ago), what is wrz and why is it not allowed? just curious.
im having a weird issue. i bought 2 edges recently, and wanted to install this rom. both are on final android 10 firmware, and im flashing the q img. obviously both are bootloader unlocked and using twrp 3.5.2.
i followed instructions on one, and it went perfectly fine no issues. on the second whenever i flash the image it wont boot and the twrp log has a few errors about partitions. also there are 2 super partitions listed. even restoring my bone stock twrp image or flashing the factory fimware i have the same issue and the twin super partitions persist. the phone will boot on the stock rom fine however.
edit: weirdness continues, now all of the sudden the rom image flashed perfectly fine, when i rebooted back to twrp for magisk.zip i had no errors. however there STILL is 2 supers listed. but i flashed magisk and booted to system... and it boots. idk.
in the select partition to flash to menu the partitions listed (in order) are: boot, dtbo, boot logo, recovery, super, vbmeta, vbmeta system, super. ive tried both instances of super and both had problems except for this time where it succeeded (i did the first instance this time).
i should also note that this was like this when i made my initial twrp backup, there were 2 super partitions in the backup menu. but, the other phone that had no issues, did NOT have 2 super partitions at any point. again... idk.
Unfortunately, I didn't understand a lot of it, because I don't know English very well.
The fact that in TWRP in Backup you see two Super partitions, it's not a big deal. Choose both, but in fact your backup will have one Super partition.
its just strange but i guess if it works.
but im also having issues with applications. for one, the asus gallery and file browser that are bundled always ask for storaage permissions, even if i grant them they wont launch and keep asking for permissions. wipe data, force stop, grant permissions again, nope they still ask for permissions. i dont know whats going on with them. also i cant set a picture wallpaper. not with gallery, google photos, google gallery, nothing. i get a notification that says "error, could not load media" every time i do it no matter what app i try to use. live wallpapers are fine.
There should be no such problems. This behavior can only be when you try to make these applications (Asus Gallery, Asus File Manager) system applications using, for example, RootExplorer.
I don't have this problem even after restoring a backup.
Install ROM on a clean, re-installed stock firmware.

it's best to go global first coming from tmo. No, as long as you don't do an ota on Global. so flash global then boot, then flash custom rom(following their guide).
If u lose service modem is provided (Just unzip) Bootloader fastboot command "fastboot flash modem modem.img
This of course is assuming u got unlock.bin and unlocked Bootloader
Here we go!
Welcome @gwolfu
Hopefully we don't need 11.2.7.7?? It's not out here in EU yet, what's the reason most of the custom roms seem to want the EU build by the way?
CRDroid, fantastic to see this here my favorite ROM since the days of my LG G3! Can't wait to try this out, will sadly be waiting till TWRP tho as I'd prefer to avaoid gapps. Unless there is any chance of a non gapps build also? Cheeky....!
I'll flash and report tomorrow .
post logs through here or telegram?

I know it may not be recommended, but has anyone been able to flash this without using a computer?

Since the instructions specify using fastboot (as well as sideloading the rom), that's not possible.

extract crdroid.zip content
extract boot.img from payload.bin file using payload dumper
install magisk apk on phone as any other apk (I know we are not rooted yet)
copy boot.img to internal phone storage
open magisk and click on top install button
choose "select and patch a file"
select the boot.img from internal storage
after done, copy magisk patched boot image from Download folder on phone storage, to PC
now on PC, reboot to bootloader and run
Code:
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched-23000_xxxxx.img
check file name to match xxxxx = random generated text
reboot to system and enjoy

Think you missed the last step to use Magisk again to root the installed boot image?

Hi! Thanks for this. Can i help with testing the EU version?
I would be interested in this also please.
Hello what are the steps please.
since the last magisk update the application is no longer installed.
what files i need to reinstall with adb.
I put the boot.img but the magisk application is no longer there
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v23.0/Magisk-v23.0.apk
Download above and install magisk app. Put boot.img into internal sdcard of phone. Run magisk app and hit "install", "select and patch" to patch the boot.img into magiskboot.img in "download folder". Move this file from phone to PC's adb folder with all the fastboot files.
Go back into bootloader mode and type "fastboot flash boot magiskboot.img" to flash rooted magiskboot.img. Then reboot to rom and enjoy rooted phone.
This method works for all roms as each has its own boot.img and not interchangeable. The listed magiskpatchedboot.img save u a step for latest stock rom.

Thank you very much I had a hard time but it's good
I really can't seem to root mine. I've tried booting the patched image, flashing the patched image to boot_a and boot_b, and all of this boots successfully. The problem is that it doesn't root successfully, and the Magisk app doesn't detect that it's rooted. This has been going on for a couple Oxygen versions and several different patched images. Anyone know how to help?

No luck. I flashed a Lossyx twrp to my recovery and sideloaded the apk. It was successful and my phone booted properly, but no root. I feel like this is only happening to me.
You installed magisk apk in rom? Does it show root there on magisk home screen?

I've got: Installed: N/A A/B: Yes Ramdisk: Yes SAR: Yes. When I hit install, it only gives me the patch option, no direct install, so no root. And I don't pass safetynet.
Is this oos 11.0.4.1? Did flashing "fastboot flash boot magiskboot.img" not work either (rename OP's uploaded magisk-patch boot img file"?
Yeah, it's oos 11.0.4.1.HD65AA. I tried directly flashing the patched boot image in fastboot--to both boot partitions. Nothing, I don't know what's going on. I had root before updating to Android 11. I can't remember if I patched a slot before rebooting though.
Then use OP's unpatched boot.img, boot up unrooted, patch boot.img with your installed magisk apk, move magiskpatched boot.img from "download" folder of phone onto PC adb folder, reflash magiskpatched boot.img as above, retry
I downloaded the stock boot from above, flashed it to all boot partitions and restarted. Then, I patched the stock boot with magisk and flashed it and rebooted... Magisk still displays N/A. No root.
Msm back to oos 10.0.16 and update to oos 11 0.4.1 via oxygen updater app and start over, losing all data

I actually tried the same thing back in 10.0.16. I only updated to 11.0.4.1 just yesterday. Still think it will help?
Could just stay rooted on oos 10.0.16 or go custom with yaap11
